BUG IN ZOOM COMMUNITY: "Sign out" is reversible without authentication.

[Sorry, but I can't figure out the right forum location for Zoom-community meta issues!]

BUG: Signing out from the Zoom Community does not clear user-authentication cookies.

REPRO: Once signed in to community.zoom.com, select "My Account" > "Sign out".  Then click "Sign in".  You'll be signed in as the most recent user.

EXPECT: Once signed out, a password and username should be demanded.

WHY IT'S A BUG:

On a shared computer, if I follow another user, I can use their credentials without their knowledge or consent.

On a single-user computer, it is effectively impossible to switch accounts.  (I use 4 or 5 Zoom accounts, depending on the company I'm representing at the moment.)

WORKAROUNDS:  Clear cookies.  Or use a fresh incognito/private session.  Both of these are unreasonably awkward and will not be obvious to most users.

ENVIRONMENT:  Edge browser on Windows 10 Pro x64.  Both stock/unmodified and fully updated.

Although losing access to an account can be frustrating, it's not the end of the world. You can swiftly restore access and guarantee your security by being aware of the unlocking procedure and taking preventative measures. You'll quickly return to your virtual home if you keep these measures in mind the next time you find yourself locked out. Marie is a tech specialist who helped me.
