it gave me option to record to cloud and later when i came to look for it, it says tat cloud recording is only available for paid accounts. why did i get the option? now where do i get it?thanks

Hi,I have the Pro version of Zoom, so I am able to have meetings lasting longer than 40 minutes.What happens if I make an outside person the host of a meeting I scheduled, but they only have the free version of Zoom? Will the meeting then end after 40 minutes? Or is it running more than 40 minutes, because I scheduled the meeting with my account?I hope someone can help me.Thanks!

Hi, so I’m a bit confused. Someone started a meeting and made me host before leaving. I then started a recording, and selected the cloud option. I learnt you have to be a paid user to start cloud recordings. I’m on the free plan, but the person who started the meeting is a paid user. Where do I find the cloud recording? Or is it completely gone? 🥲

I have been working on a whiteboard for awhile and I was able to have multiple text colors within one shape and now I can no longer do that. I would like to have the first line of text in one color and the rest of the text in another color. I am assuming this is a feature that was taken away with the recent update but I am not sure. Please advise. 

Hi  We have a paid account and we host a weekly meeting for our members (we are a club).  We want our members to be able to start the meeting before the host arrives and have enabled the setting "Allow participants to join before host" . However it's not working. The meeting won't start until the host arrives.  Am I missing something here? Is it possible for meeting to start before the host arrives and if so how can it be done?

Hi, I was on my zoom account yesterday. For some reason, I got signed out, as someone else has signed in. I'm concerned about security, and I have since changed my password. What may of caused this? How can I check the location of sign in?  Thanks Lee

I am looking to host a hybrid multiple-session Zoom event that will take place over seven days over one month. I see that the maximum duration is six days for this type of event. Are there any ways to get around this maximum duration? I see that a recurring series would also work in this situation, but I want to be able to use the lobby feature, custom registration questions, and hybrid tools that are included in the multiple session types.  Any suggestions on the best way to move forward? 

I have turned on Call Control on the Zoom Portal, but the phone (Poly Edge E320) doesn't seem to work.  I clicked on the Zoom app, went to the settings - Phone and Call Control, and clicked on the Poly Edge E20, but it timed out.  Has anyone run into this issue?

I've set up a virtual training event where there are 3 different sessions. People will buy tickets to the particular training session they want to attend. They will then have access to the recording(s) post event. From what I can see, all recordings will appear in the lobby. Will the session recordings only be available to those who have bought a ticket to the corresponding session?  Eg. If Lucy brought a ticket to session C will she only see a recording for session C in the lobby (post event)? If David brought tickets to sessions A and B will he only see recordings A & B in the lobby (post event)? Or will David and Lucy see recordings of all 3 sessions?? Many thanks in advance Amy 

Hello! I am wondering if it is possible, and if so how, to create a group chat in a regular zoom meeting.For example, we are going to have a zoom meeting with 10 people, but I need to be able to have a 3 person only chat going out of the group. I know you can chat to just one person, or to all, but can i chat to 2 people only at the same time? Is this something the host, or co-host can do?  Thank you so much if anyone knows anything about this! 

I recorded a 1 hour meeting and the video is not in Zoom neither on my computer. Before I began the recording I did a test during that same meeting for 7 seconds. That one saved locally as well as on Zoom. But the one that's the 1 hour long that I really need is nowhere, and it's been 6 hours since the meeting. Any tips on how to retrieve this? Or even to understand what went wrong? Was it because I tested it first and then the second video just didn't save?

When I try to open Zoom on my MacBook, I get a message that reads "Your app version needs to be 5.12.2 or higher to sign in.  Please update to continue."  When I try to update, however, I get another message that says "Unable to install updates.  Error code: 10004."  Can anyone give me some advice for what to do?  Thank you!

How can I prevent it from being possible to schedule meetings if there is already a meeting at that time?

After two years of using Zoom for multiple kinds of meetings without problems, suddenly last Sunday, Aug. 29, two anomalies arose: • Recording of meeting began automatically without my ever having clicked for automatic recording (in fact, I cannot find an automatic recording activation button where another website said it would be!). • Zoom participants could see me but not hear me.  On my end, Mac internal microphone was fully activated, but when I tried Join Audio all that came up was a window I'd never seen before that provided only Phone & some numbers to use for doing audio via phone. Retrying since then has produced same results.  I've deleted & reinstalled Zoom (5.7.6).  I'm on Mac OS 11.5.2, so everything's up to date.   Help! 

Hello, We hosted a series of meetings and shared the Zoom cloud recording links with attendees. Will the links eventually expire?  I've tested links from last fall, which still seem to be working. However, I've gotten a few message about cloud recordings being deleted so I wanted to double check here. Thanks!Monica

Hello!I want to add a ZoomRooms license user to a group, but it fails.I can add regular license users to a group, but only ZoomRooms license users cannot. How can I add users with ZoomRooms license to a group? (PS: Why would I want to do the above?)This is because I want to create a new role that can edit user settings only for groups that include ZoomRooms license users for security management within my company.If there is any other solution, could you please let me know? thank you.

Hello- I scheduled a reoccurring meeting with a large number of people. After the first meeting, I realized that I had not added alt hosts that were needed. I would like to avoid creating a new meeting as the meeting link is widely distributed, and if possible avoid resending it out to the entire list serve (but know this may be unavoidable). I have gone into the meeting settings on both the web app and the desktop app between meetings and added the alt hosts and they show up in the settings, however the alt hosts are still unable to start the meeting. How do I update the current reoccurring meeting with the alt hosts? Thanks!

We had a zoom bomber who logged in using another attendees name (easy enough) but they somehow managed to mirror the attendees video so it looked like we had 2 windows for 1 person.  How are they doing that?  More importantly, how can we stop it?  The bomber proceeded to send racist hate speech to the hosts as this mirror of someone who was actually one of the hosts.  

When I do a standard meeting scheduling (after choosing "passcode" as the Security option), it generates a link that has a Meeting ID embedded in it. But in this case, participants should add passcode manually, which I want to avoid. I know it is possible to have a passcode embedded into the link - so, they enter in one click. How should I do it, why it doesn't go automatically? Thanks - Igor

I’ve been having this issue for quite some time. If I am in in a meeting and I am using my shure MV7 and I have it plugged in USB into my computer and a pair of headphones are plugged into the microphone which plays both myself into the headphones and everyone else in the meeting. So the MV7 is my mic and speaker. It’ll work fine for a while but after a couple of minutes of listening to someone else in the meeting, the audio starts cracking terribly and if I switch my speaker to the computer speakers, it stops. Obviously, I’d rather hear them in my headphones so I don’t have to mute myself. Any ideas of what the issue is?
