Hi, How can I enable audio transcript in zoom, so as to have transcript vtt file ready post cloud-recorded zoom meeting? It says this option is locked
I blocked someone and then deleted their chat but now we settled the issue and we've been trying to talk but I cant unblock because I can't find their contact and when they try sending a friend request to me I can't see it, I hope zoom can come up with a solution for this issue.
I’ve received several different variations on this email (including one crypto scam) and I’m honestly disgusted with Zoom now that I’ve learned that there is literally no corporate email or page on which scammers can be reported. That is arrogant and thoughtless on Zoom’s part. Has anyone ever encountered the Zoom capturing your screen while not logged into Zoom? On my Mac, I noticed a purple screen icon pop up in the menu bar at the top. When I left clicked, it said "zoom.us is capturing your screen." There was no way to exit I then logged into the Zoom app to check the settings, but I could not find anything relevant. I logged out of Zoom and the icon was still there. When I checked tried to Force Quit, Zoom was not found in the list for me to terminate. I ultimately shut down my computer, and when I turned it back on, the icon was gone.
In need to record a greeting and voicemail msg for our callers. Can someone direct me to the appropriate place to learn how to do this?
I recently hosted a meeting in my personal meeting room. The meeting wasn't being recorded. I was wondering if there is a way to access the chat history for that meeting even though it has been ended? Is it possible to still access and save the transcript from that meeting or is it lost forever?
I recorded a meeting today to my server (not the cloud). how do I get the transcription of this recording?
I have been using virtual backgrounds without issue since March 2020, but in recent weeks I have sporadic issues with Zoom failing to work with any virtual backgrounds. When I turn on the camera, the feed stays black until a pop-up comes up saying that the virtual background is still loading and asking me to start video anyway or stop. I can not ever get the background to work. Unplugging and reconnecting the webcam, changing ports on the dock, restarting Zoom don't work. Using the mic on the webcam never suffers any issues and works even when the feed is black while Zoom is apparently attempting to load the virtual background. Once I click on "Use video" button and ignore the virtual background, the camera works without issue though obviously without the virtual background. Setup is USB Logitech webcam attached via VAVA USB-C dock on 2019 Macbook Pro running macOS Big Sur 11.4. Zoom version is 5.7.6. Has anyone else encountered this or have ideas for fixes
that the "solution" to getting zoom to stop freezing/lagging is turning off built in Zoom features? Are no engineers seeing this as a problem? BTW, tried everything ever listed in these forums to get zoom to stop lagging every 5 minutes. nothing worked.
I am wondering how to send my Zoom ID and password for a meeting in enough time for people to enter. I can't send until 5 minutes before the meeting starts. If I don't get someone coming in within 10 minutes the ID becomes invalid. I am teaching with Zoom. I also volunteer with an organization in the US that sends the valid ID as much as a week ahead of meetings. The ID is still valid on the day of the Organization's meeting.
Hi folks,I have a number of different types of recurring scheduled meetings (as well as some one-offs).Some of these are made through integration with my booking system for clients, which is Squarespace Scheduling (previously known as Acuity). I have already gone through seeking assistance from their help team but it seems to be a Zoom end issue.Some of my meetings did not come through that way, some I scheduled through going to the Zoom website in my browser and going to Meetings and clicking Schedule a Meeting. For example I have one on Tuesday nights at 5:45pm . Now I know this scheduling did actually work, because when my clients click the link I sent when inititally scheduling this call, they are able to access the meeting and I receive the email notifying me that someone has signed in to the call, at which point I can click the link in the email to start the meeting. However, this meeting does not show up in my Zoom app in the Upcoming Meetings tab. Nor
Hi,since I updated Zoom to version 6.0.x on my laptop (windows 10), the audio volume is very low.I've not been in a larger meeting since the update, only one-on-one meetings. My audio volume is just like always, I can hear just fine in every other application. The sound test in zoom is also ok, I hear myself clearly, the volume of the test sound is adequate. However, I can hardly hear the people that are in the meeting with me. I have to turn up the volume on my laptop to a degree, that it hurts my ears when I run an audio anywhere else.What can I do to solve this?
Is it possible to get notified as a host when someone uses print screen during a meeting? It would be crucial to avoid the leaking of sensitive content.
Been having this problem for two months with no resolution. Computer is hooked up to Dual Monitors and works fine for the day until I join a Zoom Meeting at which point ALL of the computers apps, moving my mouse around the screen, etc. all lags. AGAIN, computer only lags once I join the Zoom Meeting, even if my mic and camera are off and I'm not screensharing. All apps lag. Mouse movement lags bad which has nothing to do with internet. About half of the time, I can unplug from the dual monitors and it'll speed up. Sometimes it requires restarting my computer for the computer to stop lagging even after the call. Hardware & Software: - Dell Latitude 7430 (new in March 2023) / 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1265U 1.80GHz / 32GB Ram / 64-bit, x64-based processor /Windows 11 Enterprise version 22H2- TWO Dell 2422HE monitors with built-in docking station, daisy-chained and plugged into laptop via USB-C. After finishing a Zoom Webinar in Zoom Events (with one session) am I able to retrieve the Q&A questions that were submitted by the audience? I can retrieve a Q&A Count in Reports, but cannot retrieve the full questions themselves.
The Auto-Generated Closed captions are a very useful tool on meetings, and I know that we have the ability to save the transcripts. I would like to see an option to automatically save the transcript of meetings, differentiated based on whether I am a participant or host. Or at least a prompt. As it currently stands if I forget to save the transcript before I leave a meeting there is no way to recover it. Tyler
Similar to this topic, I would like to have dark mode on Linux. As a Linux user, I feel that the topic didn’t fully address the kind of assistance both the original poster, users, and I were hoping for. The current setup still leans heavily on light mode, which can be pretty harsh on the eyes, especially during long sessions or late-night workflows. While there are three options to tweak the top bar and meeting background, they don’t touch the Zoom background itself, which stays glaringly white. That sudden brightness spike is jarring, basically being flashbanged at 3 in the morning. So, a proper dark mode that darkens everything, not just fragments, would be a huge improvement. Including this in the theme selection or rolling it out in an upcoming Linux update would go a long way in reducing eye strain and making the experience more cohesive. Hoping this gets prioritized. Hi All,In a recent update, I noticed that I can no longer toggle the original sound for musicians option on the top of the main screen. I can change it completely in audio settings, but that's a pain if I want to go back and forth during a meeting. For instance, I teach piano over Zoom. When I want to play something for a student, I turn original sound on. But if I'm typing a student's notes, I don't want the clacking of the keyboard to be heard. So before, it was really easy to toggle on the main screen. Now it seems you can only change it in audio settings. Anyone else having an issue with this or has found a solution like a shortcut? Chat support/ Agent didn't help me because they told me to go to Account Settings - meetings and turn video on for meetings NOT Webinars!!!Tried to schedule a New Webinar after the change in settings but nothing changed. I've searched everywhere for a solution and nothing has worked. My time zone and time are correct, a ringtone is set, I'm showing as available, yet still I'm missing calls. I have my headphones on so that's where I'd prefer calls to ring but even external speakers would be okay.
A few weeks ago I started getting “Your internet connection is unstable” messages during meetings, and it was true – I froze momentarily for others and they froze for me. So I called the cable company and a tech support rep said he saw the problem, could fix it remotely, and did. Only it happened again. So I called again and the rep said I needed to replace my modem. So I did and it happened again. So I called again and they sent someone out, who said the coax cable had degraded and he replaced it. And it happened again. So I made a fourth service request and the guy replaced the new modem with a newer modem. And it happened again. I’m at my wit’s end; at this point, I can’t believe the problem is the cable connection. But what else could it be? I use Windows 11 with a new Dell laptop and a single wired connection to the net; I always reboot my laptop, modem and router (though the latter doesn’t play a role) before each Zoom session; I’m always Host or Co-Host and s
Hi there, Since linking my Gmail and Google Calendar with Zoom desktop app, I continuously get distracting pop-up notifications on my desktop - how do I turn these off? For any employees at Zoom that may be seeing this: This is such an incredibly simple request, and it's kind of shocking it isn't obvious how to turn these off after a good search through in the settings. Also, it is also ridiculous that this is the only support that is offered for a paying customer of Zoom - why not simply a LiveChat? Very ridiculous, and very frustrated. Hi everyone,Lately I’ve been experiencing random freezing issues during Zoom meetings on my Windows 11 laptop. The video just stops and the app becomes unresponsive, although audio sometimes keeps playing in the background.I’ve updated Zoom to the latest version and also made sure my system drivers are current. It usually happens about 10–15 minutes into a call, and I have to force quit and rejoin.Is it related to system performance or something with Zoom and Windows 11? Thanks!
