I am using Zoom Events to host a multiday conference for an association (attendees will be pre registered). For one hour during the last day we will have a business meeting that is open to all association members including those not registered for the conference. Is it possible to create one Meeting that is open to anyone with the link? And if so, how does one find the unique link to the meeting?Ideally attendees could enter via the lobby and non-attendees would enter the meeting directly. My back-up plan is to create a Zoom Meeting outside the event which would require attendees to leave the virtual conference space and then return to it after the business meeting.thank youSally
I am looking for online aa zoom meetings please help
Have you ever wanted to customize your meeting summary? Make it something different than the general template but the same every time (say for a sales call or a project stand up)? Zoom now has Custom AI Companion to allow you to do this (plus much more): User: Custom Meeting Summary Templates: User DemoAdmin: Custom Meeting Summary Templates: Admin Setup You can also add a custom dictionary to make the summaries more accurate & tailored for your business: Custom Dictionary
I have a friend that is having a problem with this “paid” Zoom AccountOnce he starts a meeting, he does not have the “Make co-host” option (to set another participant a co-hostI did some testing myself (using my paid Zoom Account and my free Zoom account)And I had no problem setting a co-host using my paid Zoom account but I do not have the option to set a co-host on my free Zoom accountFor example, here is a meeting setup from my paid Zoom account and as you can see there is a “Make co-host” option And here is a meeting setup from my free Zoom account and as you can see there is no “Make co-host” optionThere is a “Make host” otpion but that will transfer the host to another participant instead of making them a co-host So I suggested the co-host functionality only exists for “paid” Zoom accountBut my friend insists he is using a “Paid” Zoom account His meetings are always over 1 hour long and if he was using a free account the meetings could only stay active for 40 minutes
Recently a change was made to auto-lower raised hands when people stop talking. This is not working and we use the RAISED HAND for stand-ups and stand-downs to show who hasn't gone yet. Now, the system keeps lowering hands because someone may comment on another persons update and the system thinks that person is done talking. It's really annoying and not helpful.

Hello,I'm having an issue with a local Zoom recording that I cannot convert. The meeting was recorded locally and I heard both the "Recording in progress" and "Recording stopped" voice prompts. After stopping the recording, the meeting remained open for about 5 more minutes before it automatically ended because the session expired. Zoom was not closed manually, my computer did not crash, and there was no power outage. The recording folder contains:double_click_to_convert_01.zoom (327 MB) double_click_to_convert_02.zoom (1.5 MB) recording.conf zoomver.tagWhen I double-click double_click_to_convert_01.zoom, nothing happens. Zoom does not start the conversion and does not display any error message. Here is what I have already tried:Reinstalled the latest version of Zoom. Ran Zoom as Administrator. Opened the .zoom file while Zoom was already running. Tried opening the recording on a different Windows computer with Zoom installed. Verified that the recording folder contains all the original f
I've already created a custom video filter to display an image at a fixed position on the screen, e.g. for a company logo. Now I'd like to create a custom video filter where the graphics move with my face, to give me e.g. a clown's nose or a sorcerer's hat. Basically like the preconfigured filters (e.g. 'Head Chef', 'Bunny rabbit', 'Daisy'), just with my own graphics.I've tried to just drag my new nose graphics in the middle of the head symbol in the dialog to create the filter - but it's just stuck in the middle of the screen, and doesn't move around with my face. How can I do that?
Subject: Feature Request: Selective Annotation Permissions for StudentsHi Zoom Team,As an educator using Zoom for online classes, I face a major challenge with young students. Currently, the "Annotation" feature is either "Enable for All" or "Disable for All". When I want to let only ONE student write or s
Why don't yopu make the upgrade to the new Zoom interface an option the user can specify when it will take place? The previsous interface was perfect for my needs, and when in a hurry to schedule a new meeting I am met with an interfweace that I now have to learn all over again. I figured it out, but I must say I find the older interface design more lelgant and efficine. Your giving me features I don't care about. And I love Zoom... It is so much more reliable than any other video conferencing platform. Just thought you should know All knowing and all wise Zoom
I can start a meeting using Screen Share from my iPhone, but cannot see the attendees.
So the latest Zoom update to the meetings has the private direct messages from participants to host open in seperate tabs. Previously, all messages, irrespective of public or direct would appear on one screen in a list. However when conducting classes where only questions can be asked from the teacher directly and no public nor private chat, this is extremely annoying. Especially in classes with many students, each time a new message comes up, it's required to go to that person's tab to read it. Is there a way to revert it to the old way, where all messages comes in one screen? Thanks in advance
For the past week, our company's Zoom chat has been full of photo upload errors. The sender can see the photo on their screen, but the recipient can't. If we download it, we can view it, but I think the quality has dropped slightly.
Hello Zoom Support,Our chatbot receives @mentions in a Team Chat channel successfully.POST /v2/im/chat/messages returns HTTP 201 when using reply_to,but the reply is invisible under the user's original message.Replying to the bot's own messages works correctly. We verified that to_jid is the correct channel JID and reply_tomatches the original webhook message_id. I am writing to report an issue with the Voice Translator (AI Translator) feature.I have purchased and assigned the Live Translation add-on, and the feature has been enabled in the account settings. However, the Voice Translator icon/button does not appear in the meeting controls toolbar, nor is it available under the More menu during meetings.I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:Updated the Zoom desktop client to the latest version (7.2.1).Using the Windows desktop client (not web or mobile).Confirmed with the account admin that the Live Translation license has been correctly assigned to my user account.Verified that Voice translator is enabled under Account Settings → Meeting → In Meeting (Advanced) (and also checked personal settings).Fully quit and restarted the Zoom client, then signed in again.Despite completing all of the above, the Voice Translator option still does not appear.Could you please check the account-side configuration and help resolve this issue?
I just logged into try and schedule some meetings and the whole interface has been changed. I go to click on meetings and it gives me the option to "host" or "join" a meeting.... Sigh..... Where the heck did they move the dashboard when you used to log into your account and it launched right then and there. Now it's filled with all sorts of garbage promoting more services to buy that don't interest me and clutter up my screen. And, where do you request support to chat with a support agent? I'm not interested in their stupid AI bots. I don't understand why they have to make things harder.
Hello! I have a personal Zoom Basic account and use Zoom Workplace on Android. I need to prevent participants from taking screenshots or recording my live video calls using the SAME phone they use to attend the meeting. I have already checked the Android app and Zoom web settings, but I cannot find the "Prevent screen capture of meeting content" option. Could someone please clarify: 1. Does this feature block both screenshots and screen recordings made with the participant's own Android phone?2. Is it available with a Basic account?3. If not, which paid plan includes it?4. How can I enable it while keeping video calls working normally? My main concern is preventing recording on the same device used to attend the video call, not recording with a second phone or external camera. Thank you!
No one can copy chat text in our Zoom meetings, except for the (some?) linux users.I found another old thread about this, but the step-by-step doesn’t lead you to the destination discussed. Can anyone provide a method that works in 2026?
Environment Debian 13 i3WM, X11 Zoom Workplace 7.2.1 (5760), DEB package NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 NVIDIA driver 550.163.01 USB webcam: Microdia 0c45:6366 ProblemAfter upgrading Zoom to version 7.2.1, the camera preview becomes frozen or black whenever I select any virtual background or the blur effect. The camera works normally again as soon as I select “None”.The issue also occurs during meetings. The camera is selected in Zoom, and its activity indicator turns on. The webcam works correctly outside Zoom, including with ffplay.Using a clean Zoom configuration restored normal camera operation, but the virtual background issue persists.Virtual backgrounds worked correctly in previous Zoom versions. This appears to be a possible regression in Zoom 7.2.1 on Linux. Could you investigate the virtual background/video processing path and advise on a workaround?Thank you.
Hi everyone,I’m curious how organisations are managing attendance and participation during live Zoom meetings, particularly when accurate records are important.Zoom’s standard attendance reports show when participants join and leave, but they don’t necessarily provide a complete picture of what happens throughout a session. For example, how are you managing:Participants switching their cameras off for extended periods People stepping away while remaining connected Monitoring attendance during longer meetings, training sessions or online events Verifying that participants remain present throughout a session Maintaining reliable records for compliance, accreditation or reporting purposesAre you relying on Zoom’s built-in reports, monitoring participants manually, or using additional tools?I’m particularly interested in how organisations are addressing these challenges without creating additional administrative work for the people running the sessions.Would be great to hear what solutions
Starting a new meeting as a host, sent invitations for participants as usual, but when they try to join, few of them weren't able to connect video (automatically connected in "audio-only" mode). They can't see the host and host can't see them!! Why? Why only few people and why all of a sudden meeting invitation chose to connect them with audio only mode!?!
There needs to be a way (check boxes?) to select what camera you want to show in the camera list. It is unbelievable to me that after all these years there is still NO WAY to simple choose what cameras should show in the menu, UNINSTALLING cameras is NOT a solution. There are reason why you may need cameras (like the built-in one) but don't want to use them for Zoom. I many instructors need to be able to toggle between the camera simply and quickly, instead of toggling through multiple cameras to get to the one you want. Absolutely appalling this simple feature is not available in Zoom.
I'm trying to make a call but it's saying my plan isn't available but I see the phone symbol on my zoom app,
In a Zoom learning session, the person talking is also appearing on a second Dialog Box - see - https://snipboard.io/MhLxAC.jpg. Wondering why? I’ve used an older version of Zoom before, with different clubs. This has never happened before. Please advise.
The entire zoom graphical user interface changed on me suddenly and Zoom Workplace now seems to be a web app that’s trying to mimic Teams in structure, but I lost a lot of the functionality I was accustomed to. Is it possible to toggle between these environments? For example, I used to use Zoom to record mini-lectures for my classes which I would then load on to Canvas. Now with the web workplace app, the Share Screen function is a nightmare because I have to select whether I want to share a web page, a powerpoint, or Word document, when I used to be able to go between these sources seamlessly. The window also seems to not be full screen. It really sucks. It’s so bad that I resorted to downloading a different app for making video recordings for class. This other app works better overall, but the marker tool isn’t as good as the one Zoom has (or had) built in to the host tools. It’s a nightmare trying to host a meeting now. Did you ruin a good product?
