Does Zoom send invitations to specified invitees through the Zoom app?

I recently scheduled a Zoom meeting through the Zoom app on my Windows laptop, and then no one I invited got the invitation from Zoom. Am I mistaken that Zoom will send its own invite message if I do this? I'm trying to find efficiencies in the syste...
