On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

🚪 Move Participants from Waiting Room ➡️ Breakout Rooms
Hosts and co-hosts now have superpowers when it comes to managing participants:
Skip the main session and drop students directly from the waiting room into a breakout room—perfect for office hours, advising, or interview panels.
Lock breakout rooms to keep students focused where they need to be (no more surprise visitors in the main session).
Works even if participants aren’t signed into Zoom—great for guest speakers, substitute teachers, or one-time attendees.
Ideal for structured environments like testing, private tutoring, or confidential discussions.
📌 Multi-Pin Freedom (Easier to Customize your Gallery View)
Students and faculty now have more control over who they see on screen:
Pin multiple participants without host permission—because everyone learns differently.
Great for ASL interpretation, group presentations, or following both a teacher and a TA.
Makes the Zoom classroom more flexible, personalized, and learner-friendly.
