Questions on Breakout rooms

Dave808
Listener
  1. Is it possible to force an individual out of a breakout room?  If so, how?

  2. Is it possible to disable the ability for an individual to turn on their camera and audio, both in the main session and breakout room?  If so, how?

Thanks!

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @Dave808.

If you have an unruly Attendee, your best bet is to Remove them, and ensure that your account is set to not allow removed attendees to immediately rejoin the meeting.

In general, there’s no way to exercise that level of control over one individual. However, in my experience, if you as the Host Mute them while they’re unmuted, the only way for them to Unmute is if you click Ask to Unmute for the participant. The same applies for the camera: If it’s active and the Host stops video for that user, they can’t restart video unless you Ask to Start Video. I don’t know how transitioning between the main and Breakout Room will affect this.

I’m not sure what you can do for the Breakout Room situation. I think you can move them, but if attendees are permitted to select their own rooms, nothing will prevent them from re-choosing a room.

You selected the topic Webinar settings, and don’t indicate if this is an Attendee or Panelist. Again, if you have an unruly attendee, I suggest giving them a warning, and if they continue, Remove them from the Webinar.
