I'm a teacher who uses Zoom for weekly classes. My students are in high school and have a high-school sense of humor. Which is fine, but can get inappropriate at times. I'd love to see the following features added to the Chat within meetings:1) The ability for the Host/CoHost to delete comments or chats made that they deem inappropriate.2) The ability for the Host/CoHost to stop one participant from the ability to write in chat, without kicking them out of the meeting altogether. These would really help me moderate student behavior, without making a student miss a lesson.

I schedule Zoom meetings on behalf of my supervisor, using the Zoom for Google Workspace plugin. When I schedule, I ensure that my supervisor is the host, not me. Still, when she starts the meeting and I am not present, if anyone needs to screen-share, they cannot. I have to join the meeting (at which point I automatically become the host), and then give her host permissions. Then she can allow screen-sharing. I don't understand why she is not being given host permissions when she starts these meetings, if she is listed as the host after I schedule. This causes a major issue if I am not immediately available to join the meeting to give her host permissions. Anyone know why this would be? Thank you!

I use dual monitor mode to project a second screen.  With the change to Zoom Workplace, we now get a black border around that 2nd screen along with a Zoom Workplace logo in the upper left. We really need the content of that window to be full screen like it used to be. How do we get rid of that black zoom workplace border around the window?

The 'Start Meeting' button has disappeared from the desktop application (Macbook Pro) for My Personal Meeting ID.It just shows the buttons 'copy invitation' and 'edit'. I don't know that I have changed any settings anywhere.I have to go into the online Zoom account > meetings > personal meeting room > start new meeting to be able to get into my own meeting room. How can I get the button back? Thanks!

Zoom stopped functioning during a video meeting and would then freeze if I tried to rejoin the meeting.  So I uninstalled it. Then downloaded the latest Zoom installer and tried re-installing. Initially the error was about a missing dll (d3dcompiler_47.dll) so downloaded 32 and 64bit versions. Then the Zoom installer error changed to  "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00007b). Click OK to close the application." The installer gets far enough that Zoom Workplace v6.2.3 (47507) shows up on the list of installed programs Troubleshooting stepsThe OS is Windows 8 (yes I know! but it is what it is). Because of the missing dll issue I decided to runDISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth  and  sfc /scannow.  sfc claimed to have fixed any errors that were found.  I also uninstalled/reinstalled ATI Radeon graphics drivers (which included  Microsoft Visual C++ redistributal Tried the installer again, 0xc0000

Dear Zoom community, I have been recording on Zoom with my desktop computer. However, I went on a trip and bought a Samsung Chrome laptop to do the same. However, after downloading the application, there is no record button, even after changing the settings on my profile as indicated. Hello, We have a recurring monthly meeting with external sponsors and the zoom meeting details that have been given out are the "owner" of the zoom account.  Unfortunately he had a medical emergency and is out for the next few days.  I'm an admin on the account - is there any way I can "take over" his account so I can proctor the meeting tomorrow instead of having to send out new zoom details?  Our fear is that there are quite a few members and we don't want to confuse folks with the revised invite.  

Hi There, I'm having an issue where once our phones are provisioned to Zoom I can no longer access their config page. We are using VVX150, 250, and 450 as well as a few d230. All with the same results. Once provisioned the config page is inaccessible. Seems the phones are refusing the connection.  I'm trying to find a feature with the config page to remove the need to press send after dialing a phone number. I think I know how to do this if I could access the config page.

Everything worked in ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS and zoom 6.1.6.Upgraded to ubuntu 24.04.1 and have one major issue: when I minimize the zoom window to a floating thumbnail, I can't restore the full size window.  Mousing over the double arrows (bottom right) I get "Show full meeting window" but clicking only causes the thumbnail to blink.I have tried rebooting, upgrading to the newest zoom 6.1.11, and removing .config/zoom.conf & .config/zoomus.confCurrent system:zoom 6.1.11ubuntu 24.04.1 LTSthinkpad x1 carbon gen11

Does anyone know if I can change a meeting to a webinar without losing/changing the current link? I've already sent the link to participants so don't want to it modified.

I hosted a meeting and recorded it on the cloud.  After Zoom completed it, I trimmed it to remove the first 2 minutes and 50 seconds.  I received a notification that the trim was finished.  However, I cannot find the trimmed version. Only the original recording is available. How do I find my trimmed recording?Dennis v.

I recently changed my sign-in email on my account.  It was confirmed and the new email is now active.  When I create a new event the host email address that shows up on the invite is still the old address.  I want it to be the new email address.  Is there somewhere else I must change this?

Hi! We are two licensed users on the Zoom Workplace Pro account - me (assistant) and my boss. I always schedule meetings on her behalf and put her as an alternative host so she can log in and start a meeting without me.My questions is -  can both of us run meetings at the same time? For example, I run my meeting #1 as a host, and at the same time she runs her meeting #2 where I am the host and she is an alternative host.If not, is there any way around it?Thank you very much!

When I share a screen in a meeting, other participants see black rectangles hiding the part of the shared screen, which is the video and toolbar in my vision.  https://photos.app.goo.gl/LEG1jwo82JmzHuYw9  I already tested many solutions by changing many settings (e.g., capture with window filtering, optimize to video sharing) to solve this issue, but it did not work for me. I would appreciate it if you showed me how to solve this issue.

Some of our staff have personal zoom accounts and business zoom accounts. I need to know if they use both  accounts on the same computer will it link the two accounts together?

Essentially, I am not able to screen share my PowerPoint slides in full screen for my audience while seeing my notes for myself on a single screen Windows 11 laptop while using Presenter View. In the past, sharing only the full screen slides would work and then you could personally switch to your notes without any problem by following these Zoom instructions for "Single-monitor setup with slide show in full screen". I am a member of an organization that has a paid Zoom account and am the Zoom tech at meetings. Last month, someone (not authorized!) contacted Zoom to have the ownership transferred to another email address. So, the president of this org does not check email every day, so the warning emails from Zoom were not read and responded to, which resulted in the ownership being transferred. When she finally checked email, the account had been transferred. She emailed me and I logged into our account and changed the owner email back. So how did someone accomplish this transfer? Did that person have to have our login password? If I change our account password, will that be enough?

I bought a MAC book second hand and was so excited to use it, partially because I am a reiki master and offer virtual healing. I had used zoom several years before in my old sales job and much preferred it to Teams. To my horror, zoom wouldn't work. I couldn't understand it. I have discovered that the MAC book is banned as the previous owner obviously did something to break the rules. I have emailed and emailed and explained and explained and they still won't lift the ban. I can use it on my phone but that just won't work for healing logistically. It also proves I've done nothing wrong as surely my email would be banned as well and it isn't. It may be second hand but I spent a fair amount of money and it's not like I can take it back (the guy is in the states now I'm told). I think it's more frustrating than anything, I just want to use the platform as it would be the best one for virtual healing, I haven't done anything wrong but worst of all, I am just going round

I have had an ongoing issue with a 1132 error when I attempt to sign on to a zoom meeting from my windows 11 desktop. The auto replies have not been successful. After the useless auto reply, my problem is closed. Does Zoom technical support have a phone number. I want to resolve this issue which has been going on for too long.

Is there a way to restore the ability to share specific screens (e.g. Screen 1, Screen 2) in the current version of Zoom Workplace? This is an absolutely crucial feature that has been removed in recent versions.

It seems to me that V6, grandly renamed Zoom Workplace, is a less than welcome regression as far as usability is concerned when dealing with recurring meetings. Recurring meetings are hidden as a tiny afterthought at the bottom of the calendar tab, which, while bad, would not be too awful if Zoom could synchronise with a personal Outlook account. Additionally, to add insult to injury, you cannot create recurring meetings with a No Fixed Time recurrence from the apps, and the ones that are created from the web show a daily recurrence. So, I would suggest that1) You separate again meetings from calendar2) Fix the No Fixed Time recurrence I am so peeved at the change that I have been looking for alternatives to use with my students. Lorenzo

Hi all. I need to host a zoom meeting that will have approx 300 participants that I need to assign evenly to 35 breakout rooms. Is this possible with zoom meetings? We only want around 7 people in each breakout room.

I'm a licensed zoom user. Yesterday I started a cloud recording, then ended it about 1.5 hours later. I heard the zoom audio message as I started and ended the recording ("Recording in progress" then later "Ending recording" or words to that effect).  After ending the recording I saw text saying "Recording is being processed" or similar. Today I can not find any sign that my cloud recording exists, it is not in the list of my previous recordings in dashboard. What might be happening here?
