Screen becomes unresponsive in middle of meeting

When I open an application while screen sharing, my entire screen will sometimes go completely black and become totally unresponsive. I'm forced to restart my computer. This only happens when sharing screens over Zoom. It does not happen at any other time.

 

• MacBook Pro, Ventura 13.4

• Zoom version 5.17.0
