I have a persistent issue on one of my arch linux installs where zoom starts, the window seems to paint once, and then it immediately closes; there isn't a lot of log output anywhere. The odd thing is I basically have this exact same linux install on 2 other machines where zoom works fine. My .zoom/logs/zoom_stdout_stderr.log is attached. ZoomLauncher started. Zoom path is: /opt/zoom cmd line: Start subprocess: /opt/zoom/zoom sucessfully, process pid: 66404 Class App Lib Possible Culprit Flags resip::Connection 656 656 resip::Data 36 36 resip::DnsResult 1080 1080 resip::Headers 1 1 resip::MsgHeaderScanner 40 40 resip::SipMessage 5224 5224 resip::TransportSelector 896 896 resip::Tuple 128 128 resip::UdpTransp
Hi, I was conducting a meeting today on Zoom, the recording started automatically but apparently I can't find it in the recordings sestion nor on my computer. Could you please advise where I should look for it?
I'm experiencing a recurring security issue: a bot is joining every Zoom meeting I host, and I am unable to stop it. I use the free version of Zoom, which unfortunately offers no tools or support to block or report this bot. This is not a human participant, it is an automated bot joining from an unknown source. It appears as soon as I start a meeting, without being invited, and there's no clear way to prevent or remove it permanently. This has serious implications for the safety and privacy of my calls. Despite searching for solutions in your documentation and community forums, there seems to be no resolution available to users on the free plan. I respectfully request that someone from your technical team investigates this issue, accesses my account if needed and blocks any unauthorised bots from joining my meetings in the future.
Recently I noticed that Zoom is experiencing some segfaults shortly after it starts, then a few other times during a meeting. It also happened a couple of times during a meeting and after a segfault, my mouse would get very slow, the whole UI would be super slow, after about 30s or so without touching the mouse the computer looked normal again. During this period the audio for me and my video to other participants was not affected, I could talk and hear everybody, nobody mentioned my video freezing. However, once I touched the mouse again, the slowness would start again, once the computer was "normal" I could use the keyboard without any issues, I could open other applications, move windows, etc. The only real fix is to force reboot my laptop. Here is the relevant output from dmesg -T -e : [Wed Mar 12 10:00:05 2025] [Mar12 10:00] ZoomWebviewHost[16727]: segfault at 19 ip 00007dda7779bdb4 sp 00007dda52ffa330 error 6 in libcef.so[8d9adb4,7dda70eb7000+b156000] likely on CPU
I use the Zoom app on my desktop to send invitation for Zoom meetings: I need to change the default email address as I am phasing out that email. How to change it permanently to my new email address?
Hello everyone. I did all what I can, including reset but camera (built in) does not work on Asus VivoBook with Windows 11.Any suggestions? Thanks
I am a member of a company (which I will call "Company A") and months ago shared a whiteboard with several Zoom users outside my company, including someone in what I'll call "Company B." Now for some reason it appears that my ability to share new whiteboards is restricted to people within Company B. When I click Share, under General Access my options are "Restricted" and "Anyone at Company B." The option for "Anyone with the link" is greyed out because "your admin has disabled external link sharing." My admin at Company A has not disabled external link sharing and is also affected by this problem. It appears whatever Company B's restrictions are have transferred to our accounts as though we are employees at Company B. When I try to add new email addresses it says "Company B has disabled collaboration with users outside your organization." Again, this is happening on whiteboards that are completely new and have never even been shared with anyone at Company B.
I've never had this problem before and don't know if it's a Zoom update or maybe a driver update on my Wacom tablet. The pen writing on the Zoom whiteboard was always smooth and seamless and I could write as fast as I wanted. Now for some reason, at least while recording the meeting, I have to write super slow or it just looks like scribbles! A one-hour lecture turned into two! Very frustrating. It's strange, because I think when not recording it still works well, but I haven't quite been able to identify the problem. Please help! BTW, I do notice that Zoom is using a high amount of memory (6.67GB), but don't know how to stop that. Version: 6.3.11 (60501) Update: I tried switching to the Classic Whiteboard, and that seems to have remedied the problem. Still not sure why, and I'd prefer to use the newer whiteboard if I can get it to work!
I finally sorted out how to allow whiteboard collaboration by people outside my organization (yes, I am the admin for my paid zoom account). But now I'm finding it's important to document who is making changes and comments. Is there a setting for forcing external collaborators to sign-in or otherwise validate who they are? Can this be done with more than just a zoom account? could they sign in to my whiteboard using their Google credentials, for example? Help! Jim
Hello, TeamI go to the zoom website and sign in and click stay logged in, but the next I go to the zoom website it shows I am signed out.
It is set to 30 but want to set it to 15 so when I do a /zoom in slack it is 15 min meeting. Any ideas? Thanks!
We have a call queue that includes a common area phone. Users log into this phone, and in order to remotely control the phone from their computers, the Zoom Workplace app connects to the physical device. However, the remote connection occasionally drops without notifying the user. Currently, the connection status icon is a gray phone regardless of connection state, which makes it difficult for users to know when they’ve been disconnected. It would be extremely helpful if the icon changed color based on the connection status, for example, green when connected, gray or red when disconnected. It seems the visual feedback would improve the user experience by clearly indicating when reconnection is needed.
Using Zoom Workplace on my tablet the video camera is zoomed out such that it shows the whole office. I cannot find a way to make the camera zoom in. I tried pinching the screen and that does not work and I cannot find any settings to change the camera. I tried to use the virtual background and when it tries to load it comes up with an error. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Les
I have an issue with the ZVA login."Failed to login: The subdomain URL is not connecting. Manage subdomains in Contact Center preferences."This is the error message displayed when running the downloaded SDK file and running it on html. Can someone help me on this topic1 .
I have synced my data tables but now just want to keep the originals. But when I delete a synced table I will also delete the original, it seems. Is there a safe way to delete a synced data table? I know that in Notion you can un-snyc them. But I do not see that option here.
I have 3 meetings which are recurring and they show up in Meetings under Recurring in my paid account, but nowhere can I find the links to the meetings. You used to be to able to copy an invitation.I need to be able to do this because I don't always have access to email accounts with my clients and often share access via a message thread.Where are the meeting links?Thx.
When saving a local recording to a specific folder other than the default, the individual recording files are being saved outside of the enclosing folder that is created to house the files. They are now created loose and not within the folder, even though the folder is also being created. This has changed within the past two updates or so and hasn't been fixed in the most recent update. I wanted to draw attention to it so that the files can be organized better (as they previously were) into the folder so they are not having to be added manually later.
We recently purchased and enabled the translated captions license add-on. While the in-webinar captioning works wonderfully in our testing, we were also hoping to be able to download the VTT files in several languages along with the other cloud recording files. Is this possible? Is there any way to capture the time-stamped translations?
Is there an option to export all users' booking pages links?
I am having an issue joining recurring meetings. If I try to join it tells me the meeting was scheduled for [original date] and does not let me in when the host arrives. When this happens, I try joining directly from the Zoom app, from the link in the Outlook invite, and from the Slack integration, all with the same result. Eventually, it will let me join from the browser, but even that is not immediate. Is this a known issue? Other attendees do not seem to be dealing with this, despite joining through the same link/avenues, being under the same org, and having the same apps. How can I get Zoom to recognize a recurring invite to let me join?
Does a common area license come with a DID number? Can it have a voicemail?
Hello.I have been getting reports that some of my Zoom SMS messages are not received. It's intermittent and I'm not sure if it's tied to specific mobile carriers or specific devices. Anyone seen this issue and has a solution?
