Just got a new computer (Mac) and so I downloaded the latest version of ZOOM and I absolutely hate it. I do lessons on ZOOM, and this Center Stage "feature" makes that difficult as it keeps focusing on and following me, which means it's difficult to share things outside of my face, which I don't want it to be zooming in on in the first place. And in previous versions, I could adjust the lighting to make up for the lighting situation in my room, but now all there are are filters. Where are the lighting settings? If there isn't a solution, I'm going to have to cancel my ZOOM subscription and find some other option.
Hi there. During video meetings I need to work/change documents simultneously in other programms (Word, excel, etc.). Always when switching on the programm I can no longer see the video/image of the other attendees. Is there a way to make sure Zoom opens the Video in a small window (like skype used to do)?
I'm trying to find out how to set a default image when setting up a conference with multiple session. Although Zoom creates a 'default image' I apparently can't publish the event until I have set my own image (seems a bit daft). I will have hundreds of sessions in an upcoming event so I need to be able to set my own default image. Can anyone help?
I find my email address being spammed repeatedly event if I unsubscribe or even use the unsubscribe link given to me by Zoom. It is absolutely unacceptable that I have no control over when or how Zoom emails me. If the excuse is "the users can upload a database of emails and names and just invite as many people as they want" that to me seems in direct breach of GDPR and my ability to choose when and how I receive emails using my data. Zoom, there must be a way for your systems to literally never email me. I don't care who uploads my email address, I don't register for webinars and I literally never use my Zoom account. Please can someone explain to me why, even after "unsubscribing" my email is still being abused.
My Zoom app recently updated to Zoom Workplace and now includes the "create clips" facility. There is a keyboard shortcut built in (Ctrl+Alt+C) that opens that window even when Zoom is closed. Unfortunately it is a keyboard shortcut that I had set up for use in Word and it's one that I use *all the time* 😞 I have disabled the clips feature in Zoom, but that keyboard shortcut now seems to have been irrevocably allocated to that function, so when I type it in Word, nothing happens, and I can't allocate it to the function I had allocated it to any more. I've set up a new shortcut in Word, but even so this is driving me nuts because my use of that shortcut is so automatic that I'm forever using it and getting confused about why nothing has happened. Does anyone know how to wrest control of my shortcut back from Zoom? UPDATE: The problem resolved itself at some point during the day yesterday (no restart or anything, not related to anything I did). Most mysterio
I'd like for my webinar to be live, but then available on-demand. If I choose on-demand, is that how it works, or will it always be download only and never live. Follow-up, how do I send a recording of the webinar to registrants? Thanks!
Hi, I have spent 60 minutes trying to have no virtual background. With the help of ChatGPT, I have already deleted and installed Zoom, deleted the Cache on my Mac, etc. The background apparently is saved somewhere online.. Would you have any recommendations? Thanks!
I have just recently upgraded to Fedora 42 XFCE and today installed the Linux Zoom client. Version 6.4.13 (2309) is what I received. In the past on launching the Zoom client the system audio was nowhere near high enough and I had to go to my audio profile to turn Zoom very loud so I could hear the meetings. In the past, muting and unmuting caused the system sound to return to the default setting and I had to run it up again. Today, that was not happening. However, during the meeting today that I hosted, every time someone entered the waiting room my audio returned to default. Additionally, every time I admitted someone into the meeting the audio returned to default. It did so a few other times, too, for instance when one meeting participant (who had joined the meeting by phone) dropped out, likely due to connectivity issues. Each time the system audio returned to Zoom's default setting I could not hear anything at all and had to rush over to the audio
I love that there is an SMS templates section in the admin portal so that I can make it easy for my call center volunteers to respond in a similar way. (Found in Account Management > Account settings > Zoom phone > SMS templates) I set up several SMS templates in the portal, but can't figure out how to use them when actually texting. We've tried the iOS app, the MacOS app, and the web app. Is there a setting I need to set elsewhere to allow my users to use these templates?
Hi a few of our users are getting a "Call Salesforce API failed. Please try again later." Our admins do not see this issue so I'm assuming it's related to some permission but I can't seem to figure out what. Does anybody have any ideas?
Hello i have a user where we recently implemented zoom in salesforce and when she is making a call normal behavior is that you can answer a call in salesforce or make the call there and then it goes to the notes section of the call in salesforce but for her it just goes back to the number pad, basically the zoom app takes over the call and the controls, and she needs to go back into history and log the call and make notes.she is the only user that has the issue. we had one other user with the same issue but when i revoked the Outh2 for him in salesforce and reconnected it, it worked for him. i have tired to uninstall and reinstall, revoked the outh 2 for her, removed the zoomphone and readded it, tried different browsers and cleared cache and so on. checked all the settings and nothing stands out. what could i try that would help?thank you
I installed SF Zoom for Lightning (ver 2.27). When viewing "Permitted Users" column in "Manage Connected Apps", it always displays "All users may self-authorize", even though when I go into "Zoom Integrations Oauth" it shows what I changed it to, "Admin approved users are pre-authorized". I don't know if this is what was causing the issues that I experience (incoming calls did not pop up the Salesforce Lead even though the softphone layout setting "Screen pops open within" is set to "Existing browser window". When I changed "Zoom Integrations Oauth" "Permitted Users" setting to All users may self-authorize" that issue went away. However, when it comes to outbound calls, the Salesforce Lead still does not pop up. To recap:1) "Permitted Users" was set to "Admin approved users are pre-authorized", but in the Manage Connected Apps screen, it always shows "All users may self-authorize". I suspect that it is neither one or the other, but somewhere in between.2) On outboun
Folks, there seems to be a mistake in the page discussing how we should make a feature request. Let me elaborate. In any discussion here in the forum making a feature request (or if you click the little blue "give feedback" sidebar while on the zoom site), we will be directed to this support page. It's certainly understandable to have a single point of reference where you can direct all such requests....only, the instructions on that page are incorrect. It says:1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app. 2. In the top-right corner, click you profile picture. 3. Click Help, then click Give Feedback. 4. In the Give Feedback form, select a Product Area from the drop-down. 5. Under How satisfied are you with the experience?, choose a number between 1 and 5. 6. Enter your feedback, then click Submit. But in my zoom desktop 6.5.3 (current as of today, on Windows), I don't have such a "Give Feedback" option. I do have "Report Problem.."--but it's not got the same fields described
It is great to be able to travel and have a phone internationally. It will be great if all countries can one day be included. The cutover from Skype was really super rough! But now it seems to work.
Hi. I recently realized that when Zoom sends an invitation it has my old work company information in the signature block. It happens on my iPhone. I have my current email associated with Zoom mail, and that email account only has my personal signature block. Here's the sequence of events:I create a schedule meeting and save it.I then go to that meeting and add an attendee.I select the email option. The email is created, but the signature block contains my old information.I've looked all over but can't find a place to change that setting. I've tried a dozen or so "solutions" that come up from a Google search, but many of them reference screens or tabs that I don't even have on my browser. (
Is there a way to have Zoom prompt me to record a session when the session starts? I don't want to record all sessions, but I do need to have help remembering to do so when it is needed. Is there a way to set a session to be recorded when scheduling the session?
Is it possible to schedule a meeting a month in advance if you have a pay monthly subscription. So, for example, I start a monthly subscription in July but want to book a meeting in for August. Is this possible or can I only book meetings in for the month I've paid the subscription for?
I'm not sure this is the right place for this question. Please direct me if there is a better place.I have Workplace Pro and it seems that the video filters are supposed to be available, but they are not. Please advise.
I've changed my settings a bunch of times and I can't seem to get Zoom to record gallery view. I thought there was a way to get it to record both active speaker and gallery, but no matter what I try I can't get that to happen. Here's a screenshot of my settings. Sincerely hoping someone can help out with this!
Great to see Zoom in the space of clip sharing. We would like to see if there is a way to integrate zoom clips to hubspot. We can use the clip links to send them to our prospects and track their usage and analytics on hubspot activity. Is there an option to do this?
Just reporting a bug as best I can. The hover text that appears when your mouse is hovered over any of the buttons during a call has the chance of blocking any mouse clicks to said buttons. I've only really experienced it with the mute/unmute button but I'm sure it happens with the other ones too. It's really annoying! It's definitely gotta be a bug and I couldn't find anything for specifically reporting bugs so here I am.
I set up a meeting without a specific date or time so that several friends and I can Zoom with each other whenever we want to. I would like to copy the invite so new people can use the automatic login. I can't find this meeting anywhere in my list of meetings. The meeting ID is still good (I just finished a meeting with my friends). How do I get to the basic information about a meeting that doesn't show up?
I set up my Zoom account with a particular email account for my log on and profile. But when I schedule a meeting a different email appears as the host of the meeting and the invite is sent out from that different email account, not the account which is on my profile. I am fairly sure I didn't make this change and I can't work out how to change it back. Any ideas?
I have unassigned the Zoom Phone licenses from 2 users and removed their DID numbers, but I can't figure out how to remove their extension from the account without removing the whole account. They do not want an extension in the Zoom phone system any longer, but they use Zoom meetings all the time and don't want to be deleted. Is there a way to just remove the extension number once you remove the Zoom phone license ?
