Zoom does not follow normal Windows conventions, when you select the X in the upper right corner of the program it does not close (exit) the program, it just reduces it to the back ground. This is the function of the - button just over from the X button. I realize that some user want to keep zoom running at all times and it is a benefit to those users, but there are also users that do not benefit from this behavior. I know I can right click on the icon in the task bar or tray and select exit, but why should I have to do that. It is Windows convention that the - button reduces the program and the X key closes (exits) the program. This is virus like activity by zoom. Please get with the program and give us an option in the settings so uses can choose this action of they want it, even make it the default action. Let those that do not want it the ability to have Zoom act like a normal Windows program.
I'm using Zoom version 5.7.5 (939), on laptop with AMD Ryzen 3 4300U chipset.Everytime I share audio from my laptop, both audio sharing only or from presentation, participants will hear cracked sound (buzzy noise). The shared audio sound quality is very bad.I did uninstall, restart, then reinstall, yet the problem is still persist.I also have the problem of participants VDO may freeze from time to time as well.I never have these problems on the previous update. How should I fix these problem?Thank you in advance for your supports 🙂
When hosting a meeting, my Waiting Room disappears mid-meeting and I don 't get notifications and I can't see people waiting (I know they are in "a" waiting room because they either text another participant or put it in Meetup chat). I can't bring up a waiting room, and they don't seem to be able to get in even if I've disabled the waiting room. I haven't limited the number of participants (there would be twenty at most) and I have a paid membership. Is something timing out at a certain time after the start time?
We are going to build one app in zoom marketplace which will run in-client app when meeting is going on. our app is developed in reactjs(frontend) and python (backend) and llm model (AWS) which detect the deepfake detection. now we don’t have any authorization in our app, we are going to use zoom app oAuth for same.so current flow is like that, when user install our app, it redirect to oauth URL which we have mentioned frontend url and it send ‘code’ param and its value. now this all process happnes in the browser either chrome or firefox now we wanted this ‘code’ value in our app, it means that ‘in-client’ app, so from the app we can send this code to backend using api and they can generate access and refresh token based on the code received.Currently problem is like that, code generated but it all in chrome (external browser) while we are calling API of backend from our in-client app. so how can we fix this issue or what workflow should to follow?
I am currently setting up a zoom phone system to replace a home phone system. I have 8 total handsets (grandstream wp825) and I have them scattered around the house. I had to set up 3 common area with calling licenses and assign 3/3/2 due to device restraints. I have set up the two lines under shared line groups and have added the 3 common areas to each shared line group. I edited the line arrangement to show both line 1 and line 2 on the grandstream handsets. All of the phones ring accordingly when each line is dialed but when the call is answered, none of the phones show line 1 or 2 as active on the handset screen. I am trying to get it set up to where somebody can join a call from another handset. I am trying to make the use as basic as possible to mimic the old dect phone system that’s being replaced. What am I missing?
The automatic hand-lowering feature disrupts the queueing process our large Fellowship uses and disrupts the flow of the meeting. This problem is universally disliked by the many thousands of members who attend our world-wide meetings. Please make it optional at the host or meeting level settings. Thank you.
I'm trying to stream a meeting using a custom streaming service. --> I first went into my account settings and turned on live-streaming (and checked the box to allow for Custom Live Streaming Service)--> After that I tried to do the following (As per the support links) but step #5 doesn't exist. ""How to set up custom livestreamingFollow the sections below to set up custom live-streaming for a meeting or webinar:MeetingsSign in to the Zoom web portal.Click Meetings.Click Schedule a Meeting and enter the required information to schedule a meeting.Click Save to display a set of tabs with advanced options.Click the Live Streaming tab, then click Configure Custom Streaming Service.""--------------- The only tab that pops up regarding live streaming, does not include a section for "Configure custom streaming service" (See attached picture). So... where do I go to configure the custom streaming service and enter
我的中国网友在加入zoom时收到了这个提示。请问该如何处理?
We contracted with a funeral home recently to stream & record a funeral service, via Zoom, and to save it to the cloud. Apparently the livestream worked fine; however, the funeral home has not been able to find the recording anywhere. (I don't think they're particularly computer-literate, to be frank.) Is there any way to find and retrieve the file directly, as the funeral home has apparently given up trying? It's very important to the family members who weren't able to attend... Thanks in advance.
As described in subject, how to do it?export ZOOM_CONFIG_DIR="$HOME/.local/zoom" not working...
hi I am trying to set up bi directional integration between zoom and outlook. In zoom I have gone through steps but keep getting this message when trying to authorise? 'your account may not support Microsoft Graph API' I have ticked box 'authorize with OAuth 2.0 and gone through all steps - note password for microsoft is correct 🙂 Can you please help?
I read about virtual backgrounds. In the page I read first, it said I can use a virtual background instead of a static image. The virtual background isn't working because all I see is my background and not myself. Can I instead get Zoom to use a picture on my computer? If so, how do I do that? I can only see how to add a virtual background. Or, why can I see only the virtual background and not myself via my camera? I really want to mask what is behind me. Thanks. Duncan
Our company is using the Zoom Phone CTI integration with Salesforce, and we've encountered a behavior that we'd like to optionally suppress. When an incoming call is received, the Salesforce pane or record view automatically opens (screen pop behavior). Some of our users find this disruptive and would prefer to disable it Is there a supported way to disable or suppress the auto screen pop behavior on inbound calls? Either globally, per user, or through a configuration flag? thanks!
Over two years, I have recorded 200 podcasts. using Zoom Workplace on an Imac with a Zoom electronic corp Live Trak L8 audio console. Suddenly, this week Zoom Workplace no longer recognizes my Live Trak L8. I had an only chat with a customer support agent who said he had no solution. Then the next day I got an email from Zoom workplace customer support saying the Zoom Live Trak L8 is no longer compatible with Zoom Workplace. I asked on about 5 Facebook podcast groups if anyone else had this issue. Nobody seems to have this issue. I'm wondering why, suddently, Zoom would drop the Live Trak L8 when there are a bazillion of them hooked up.Plus, I just signed up for Zoom Workplace pro for a year at $159. If i can no longer use Zoom, I wasted my money.
Hello. When I open my application, it stays on the "connecting screen" and I cannot load the application. Sometimes I am able to get to the meeting code part by launching the application through the browser, but it stays connecting and then says failed to connect and gives the error code "5003." I use Linux Mint and Mullvad VPN. Thank you!
. When I open my Zoom meeting on my computer it goes onto my phone automatically And my video disappears on my computer. Not what I want.
After the last two zoom updates on my iPhone SE, when there are more than six participants their images begin to pulsate. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom and working with Changing various settings which I found advice about on Google, but none of this has helped. Does anyone have any other suggestions, please?
I use the Zoom Whiteboards with my Dyslexic students. I'd like to disable to spelling auto correct function. Is there a way to do that? Thank you!
My old email shut down, so I deleted that account with Zoom and logged out. Then I opened a new account with my new email address and logged in on the new account. When I tried to start a new meeting, I get an error message, "Can't connect to the account [and it names my old account that I deleted and logged out of]." I'm not trying to connect with that old account; I deleted it. So I'm stuck in this computer death loop. I've checked my account settings, and it's the new address, not the old one. The "from" email (to start a new meeting) is the new one. And yet I keep getting stopped by "can't connect to [the old account]." So frustrating, and Zoom won't give me any human support because I'm a free user; the AI support for something like this is totally worthless.I'm assuming there's something in the guts that is finding and dredging up the old account, but I can't get into the guts. I've deleted all my cookies on my computer. And yet still the old account is in the way. Any suggestion
I have a meeting with more than 120 users breaking into 4 rooms (30 members in each room), can I record these room in Full HD, does any one know how to do it?
I was using Zoom for a long time and annotate tool was there when someone else was sharing screen I was able to draw on it - now there is no option for annotate - why is that? There is no Annotate in drop down menu View options if someone is sharing their screen, I cannot draw on it. But the function appears when someone share whiteboard or an image..
I am experiencing difficulty in enabling virtual backgrounds on the Zoom application for Ubuntu Linux (Version 5.17.1). Despite the computer being capable (as proven by successful background modifications in Microsoft Meetings), I cannot achieve the same in Zoom.Attempts Made:Searched for the ZoomMedia.ini file, including in /etc/zoomvdi/ and ~/.zoom, but it was not present.Tried the find command (sudo find / -name ZoomMedia.ini) without locating the file.Considered creating a ZoomMedia.ini file, but lacked specific configuration details for virtual backgrounds.Could somebody please provide guidance on how to enable virtual backgrounds in Zoom on Ubuntu Linux? Specific instructions on locating or creating the ZoomMedia.ini file, if necessary, would be highly appreciated.
Where in the user interface is the option for Zoom Workplace Basic Plus customers to extend a meeting beyond the 40-minute max? I'm not seeing the option in the UI. (If this is answered in another thread, please point me there, however I was unable to find.)-Thank you!
My device appears to have the requirements for virtual backgrounds or blurr but Zoom tells me it doesn't. I looked them up. What can I do now?
Hub in the Zoom desktop client is showing recordings for participants of my meetings who were in attendance. How can I stop those recordings from being available there?
