Trouble joining any meeting, password and code correct

can't join my own personal chat or anyone elses unless I close zoom and start over takes 3-4 times.  I can see everyone that is on, but only names and avatars and my video is on, but everyone says it is just my avatar, and No one can hear me and I can't hear anyone.  I get in and out of the zoom call and finally it works..

Would you mind providing information about your system? 

  • Windows, MacOS, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android device, or other: 
  • Which version of operating system:
  • Type of account: Basic, Pro, Business, etc:
  • Connected via WiFi or hardwired:
  • Zoom version installed (on the Status tab of the Settings window):

Let's start with that, and if that doesn't help us, we'll go from there.

Tips to troubleshoot when you can't join a Zoom meeting
Install the Zoom client. 
Uninstall and reinstall Zoom.
Enter meeting ID and passcode manually. 
Contact host if meeting ID is invalid. 
Check information for specific errors or contact Zoom Support.
