When I try to share a video file I get an error code 5505044 and says unable to share. It used to work fine until yesterday. I need a fix for this, please. Can't find solutions anywhere.

Thanks

Hello,

Have you tried sharing something different? I have seen where people trying to share a video got this error.

Here are somethings to try if it's happening on different shares:
Modify the Video Rendering Method:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
  3. Click Video
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. In the Video Rendering Method drop-down field, select Direct3D11.
  6. Restart your computer, then test the screen share again.
  7. If the issue persists, select Direct3D9 in the Video Rendering Method drop-down field of advanced video settings.

Manage Share Screen settings

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
  3. Click Share Screen
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Deselect the Use TCP connection for screen sharing check box.
Continue using UDP connection for screen sharing.
  6. Under Use hardware acceleration for, deselect the Screen sharing check box.
  7. Uncheck Limit your screen share to (_) frames-per-second.
  8. Exit out of Settings, then test the screen share again.
  9. When starting screen share, select the Optimize for video clip check box.
  10. On your computer, use Activity monitor settings or Task Manager to close all unnecessary programs to conserve system resources.

Please also try using a different device to share your video in a meeting and see if it works there.

Having the same problem with error code 5505044.

Using windows 10, Zoom desktop app updated to 5.11.3

Fiber network with pc hardwired to router and no extra programs running.

Using advanced  share, video using an mp4.

Same mp4 always stops at same point.

Another mp4 stops at a different point but always the same if replayed.

Some mp4 play perfectly.

All the mp4's will play on vlc or other player perfectly.

Just tried the above tip on rendering and still have problem.

Tried adding in the second tip on screen share settings and still having problem.

Odd part is it just seems picky about certain mp4". (yes it's giving code on mov. also.)

Have a friend across town sharing same mp4 and having same problem, so the hardware

doesn't seem to be the problem.

Thanks

I have the same issue. Videoshare is working for some time but suddenly ends with error 55005044. Tried all the tips above, but without success.
