HOWDY HOWDY, IT SEEMS I EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH...WELL, NOT JUST ME BUT MULTIPLE PEOPLE. IT SHOWS THAT ALL OF MY CONTACTS ARE ONLINE, WHEN THEY ARENT? WHICH MAKES IT *VERY* FRUSTRATING SINCE I RELY ON IT.  IM NOT TOO SURE WHAT TO DO. HERES A SCREENSHOT. PLEASE...DONT LOOK AT MY FRIENDS’ NAMES. 

The latest update appears to have removed GIFs from Team Chat. Was this meant to happen or is it a glitch?

In Zoom-Workplace where the chat channels are listed, there is a personal channel with my name, that was (probably) auto generated by Zoom. It is also listed as favourite (with star marking) and therefore shows up right on top of my list. Thing is, I don’t use this. EVER. I love the chat function, but I don’t chat with myself and I don’t use it to store notes and would never have the idea to look for them in a chat channel.Why can’t I delete this? Or am I overlooking an option to delete it?And can I at least move it to the bottom of my chats, where I don’t see it? 

A lot of our team uses reactions (emojis) as confirmation or acknowledgement of something sent in a team chat message (both direct messages and channels). However, I have not found a notification option when reactions are used on messages within team chat...not meetings. Is there a way to do this to keep us from having to go back in and check on things manually?

I Would Like To Know If It Is Possible to Share Screens While on Zoom for Movie Watching ? 

Although I had set chat to autosave on local host computer, it did not. What can I do?

If I have an active chat, but I have minimized zoom or have focus in a different app, and I get a new message, I get a notification of the new message. I can’t respond to ever message as it comes in so I ignore it. When I return to zoom to check my messages or if I click on the notification from another message, that one from the previously “active” chat is marked read. If it’s been a while or if I was away from my computer when that notification comes, I may forget that message came in. I’m not a fan. I did have a recent update and this seems like a newer feature. 

Hi!There is a new feature in version 6.1.10 where a banner is present in every chat showing External members are present. Is there a way to disable that? It is very annoying and distracting.Thanks in advance.Ana

Hello Zoom Team and Community,I'm reaching out to request an important feature for Arabic-speaking users of Zoom Workplace.Currently, when we type messages in Arabic (especially when mixed with English), the chat interface does not display them properly — the text alignment is left-to-right, which causes confusion and makes the messages hard to read. This affects not only readability but also the overall communication experience for Arabic users.It would be incredibly helpful if Zoom Workplace could support **right-to-left (RTL)** text rendering in chat, similar to how other platforms handle Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian. This is essential for teams working in multilingual environments and would make Zoom more inclusive and user-friendly.I hope this can be passed on to the product team, and I’d appreciate any updates or workarounds from the community in the meantime.Thank you!– Salah 

I have bulbar onset ALS, and have to type anything I want to say on a Zoom call in the chat. Is there a way to have what is typed can be spoken?  If not that is something that could be worked on.

I see settings for when to receive notifications and whether to play a sound, but I don't see a setting to change what that sound is.  Right now it's just the generic system notification sound, but I'd like to change it to be something distinctive.

I recently attended an online conference that used Zoom meetings.  I received a notification every time someone reacted with an emoji to an original post.  This happened a lot (over 60 chat messages during one 20 minute paper, of which probably only 10 were original posts and the rest messages that so-and-so had reacted to a post.) Several people asked the host to stop this, and the host said we should used the latest version of Zoom, and log out and restart. This stopped the notification messages for everyone but me, apparently. I was already using the latest version of the Zoom Workplace app on my iPhone 13. However, I deleted and reinstalled the app, cleared all web history and cookies for good measure, but the notifications kept coming. I have shut off notifications in the app. What else can I do, except wait and watch the recordings? 

Hello,I am experiencing a reproducible issue with the Zoom desktop client on Linux.Environment: OS: Kubuntu 24.04 Desktop: KDE Plasma Session type: X11 Zoom client: 7.0.5 (3034) Package type: official .deb, not Snap Install path: /opt/zoom GPU: Intel integrated graphics + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU xdg-desktop-portal: installed, KDE and GTK portals detected Problem:When I try to download files from Zoom chat in the desktop client, the download always fails. Zoom opens the file save dialog, I choose a destination such as ~/Downloads, /tmp, or another folder, but Zoom immediately shows Failed.The same files can be downloaded successfully from the Zoom web version. File previews inside the desktop client also work, so the file is accessible and the network side seems to be fine. The problem appears to be specific to saving/downloading files from the Linux desktop client.What I tested: Verified write permissions: touch ~/Downloads/test.txt && rm ~/Downloads/te

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue where my Zoom client completely goes offline and reconnects every minute on the dot. Is there a way to fix this? Internet is working fine it’s just zoom going offline/connecting status 

This red dot from the Zoom dock icon needs to go. It entirely bypasses the system preferences, even if you disable badges and notifications the red dot persists as long as you have unread Team Chats.This is entirely unnecessary and horrible UX design.  

There are scheduled meetings every week using the same link and details. I would like a step by step guide of how to add additional one off meeting in between the scheduled meetings using the same link and details.Is this possible?

how do i disable the spelling and grammar checking in the latest version of Zoom workplace chat? I do not have any OS settings enabled and I have even gone so far as to disable spell checking and grammar checking in MS Edge, Brave and via GPO and yet it still persists in Zoom. There are no Zoom settings available to turn it offedit: spelling  

I am inviting external users to a channel and they receive the invite in their email. They accept the invite, it reflects that they joined completely fine on my end with the channel message telling me so.However, at least on Android from what I can currently reproduce, they will see the channel come up under the “All” tab in Chat, and then when tapped, it will say “Unable to join” and disappear. They can tap “Channels” and it works fine there. If someone that is currently in the channel messages anything, it will then reappear in “All” and function completely fine.Does anyone else experience this? I’ve tested myself across multiple accounts and different ways of adding and reinstalling the app on Android.Tested device info: Android 16, Zoom v7.0.5.

Is there some way to pin a message in the chat so whenever someone joins late, they'll be able to see a pinned message in chat no matter how far up or down they scroll? If this isn't a feature, this really should have been implemented a while back. If it is an option, I am apparently oblivious to it. Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

In a wide variety of uses for chat, participants can ask questions, engage with content, share information etc.  However, as constructive as this option may be, there are some that use it in order to interfere, disrupt, discourage, and inject their personal agendas, uninvited and un-welcomed opinions, offensive or degenerate content into another users platform.  I would like to ask for the following options to be added to chat, as the current options lack the ability to address specific zoom customer clientele. REQUESTING ADDITION OF THE FOLLOWING CUSTOMER OPTIONS: (1) The ability to review chat content BEFORE disseminating to all participants. (2) Limit Chat input to Host and Co-Host Only. CURRENT CHAT PROTECTIONS ARE LIMITED IN SCOPE: (A) The current HOST ONLY option places limitation on the Host/Presenter, which is not always or readily convenient to the Host. (B) The ability to assign CO-Host the task to insert data to chat that is supportive, constructive, adding to the educationa

Hi, I'm Hailey from Korea. I'm struggling with errors that happen when I use Zoom chat. This is a language-specific error so it will be tricky but I'd like to get some advice from Zoom experts.The Korean language is made up of vowels and consonants. The more difficult point is the fact that there are also final consonants. In short, mommy in English is "엄마" in Korean. In "엄", ㅁ is the final consonant. But when I type Koreans in Zoom chat, all of the final consonants are separated like "어ㅁ 마". This error occurs in only Zoom chat.Is there anyone who can save me from the Zoom chat problem? I am looking forward to getting some advice.
