Zoom update 7.05 interface issue

With the latest zoom 7.0.5 on Mac, It appears that increasing font size on the chat (Cmd+= and Cmd+- ) increases the font on the sidebar as well. This is such an inconvenience. Is there a way to revert back to previous zoom way that increasing fonts only applied to the chat window only and not the sidebar. I would like to keep the width and the visible rows the same when I want to only see the messages with a larger font.

To support side bar font size change, a separate setting could be used.

In addition, It would be great if zoom just uses the system standard font in Mac/Windows so that it appears more local instead of using the custom zoom font.

Does this issue / “feature” persist in 7.1.0?

Yes still an issue. And it’s annoying. Wish to keep the sidebar size at 100% but increase the chat text size to 200%. Now i can’t since it blows up the sidebar to such an extent the chat window can’t be displayed.

    Previously this was possible.

Hello, @Adnan Bekdache! Apologies for the delayed response and for not seeing this sooner. We understand why this is frustrating, especially if you previously used a larger chat font without having to enlarge the sidebar.

With the current Zoom Workplace experience, the chat and sidebar font sizes are linked. Increasing the chat text to 200%, for example, also increases the sidebar, which can leave very little room for the conversation. There currently isn’t a setting to keep the sidebar at 100% while scaling only the chat text.

The request for independent chat scaling is helpful feedback, and the 100% sidebar / 200% chat example clearly illustrates the issue. If you’d like to have this feature request formally tracked and considered by the product team, we recommend submitting it through Zoom Feedback. Including this specific use case would help provide the team with that context.

Thanks for your patience and for sharing this with us!
