Hi, I have downloaded zoom on my laptop just so I can use it for meetings outside my home. However, upon entering a meeting with a promotional video, it suddenly freezes and gives me this error: Zoom has quit unexpectedly. (Note: this does not happen with my PC as it loads the promotional video without errors and I can wait for several minutes before meeting starts) However, with my laptop running windows 11, it seems to get this error regardless of multiple attempts of reinstalls, updates, and even cleaning my cache and background apps. It does show high ram usage regardless of the amount of applications I put in disable upon startup and deep sleep. I am using Acer Nitro 5 with 8GB of ram. Does anyone have the same problem as I do? It seems Zoom has a new “feature” that when I click on a Zoom link to join someone else’s Zoom meeting, it takes me to a browser page (see screen shot below).Where I then have to chose between joining the meeting from the app or a browser.This is a time waster, because I want to use the app 100% of the time.Plus, because I have typically have quite a few browser tabs open, sometimes it can be time consuming to find this page.So it adds extra delay for me to join Zoom meeting.My question - how can I bypass having to go to this unnecessary browser page?So I can go back to having “1 click” to join a Zoom meetingAnd not waste time.    

I joined a meeting and for the first time ever, experienced a horrible echo.  My phone was off; there were no other devices active in the room.  I tried both speaker types. I downloaded a new driver. I contacted Zoom support and the bot told me I had to pay for a plan to get to audio settings to cancel echoes.  I did notice upon leaving the meeting that somehow I was on as two participants - not sure how that happened; but could that have been the problem?

I am the host on our zoom mtg. I am out of town and don’t know how to have someone start meeting if I can’t. I paid for zoom account but our teacher needs to be able to start meeting without me. How do I do that?

When I am on a Zoom call I have it set up on half of my screen. Whenever I open or close chat in a meeting the zoom window resizes and changes position. When chat is opened, instead of resizing the elements within the zoom window to create room for the chat window, the entire Zoom window resizes, adding on the width to display the chat. When chat is closed, the Zoom window resizes to the original size, but it's screen positioning is shifted left. For an Open Mic virtual event - Is it possible for all 3,000 attendees in the large meeting (add-on) to have the ability to turn on their camera?

Recently, on 3 separate occasions, I logged in as a guest to another host’s scheduled meeting. When I clicked on the invite link, it logged me in multiple times, I appeared in the participant window as 3 times???- and I couldn’t close any of the “2 extras” and had to log out completely- but when I tried to re-enter the meeting the same problem occurred...ANY SUGGESTION OR HELP AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING??? 

is there any way to change the settings on the appearance of the CC/Live Transcriptions during a meeting?i’m using the web browser client. there were two tiny lines, squashed to 1/10th of the screen width, and they kept changing order as different people were speaking.  there wasn’t any way to resize the caption area, or change font size/colour/background.  (that i could find, anyway.)  is that it??? 

Hi Everyone,I can only view my upcoming meetings until the end of April 2025.I'd like to be able to view beyond what seems to be just 90 days. I have a schedule that is planned out through July and need to be able to look at, change and confirm details (manually approve participants) for meetings beyond the 90 days, this is very limiting.There must be a way to set the view to a longer time range. Input appreciated!

howdy all - Yup, I search the boards here alot, and the ol internet, and ChatGPT, Copilot, etc. I manage an enterprise AVD Gov environment. We have MacBook users (Lastest MacOS). We are unable to have successfully ZoomVDI plugins pair when connecting to any type of MS VDI service.As everyone is probably aware. Media redirection is a must have for VDI users.I even gone as far as building my own personal AVD commercial environment AND subscribed to a person W365 desktop for testing/troubleshooting. using my own personal Macbook as well. I have completely removed any work related variables.Using the latest Windows App version, Zoom VDI 7.0.10followed everything to the tee - Using the Zoom VDI client with AVD/Windows 365 on macOS

I just logged into try and schedule some meetings and the whole interface has been changed.  I go to click on meetings and it gives me the option to "host" or "join" a meeting....  Sigh.....  Where the heck did they move the dashboard when you used to log into your account and it launched right then and there.  Now it's filled with all sorts of garbage promoting more services to buy that don't interest me and clutter up my screen. And, where do you request support to chat with a support agent?  I'm not interested in their stupid AI bots. I don't understand why they have to make things harder.

Sharing sound  from Chromebook and continue gallery view of participants.  When I play sound to share from laptop, the screen shows large image from the sound recording and the participants either cannot see each other or the screen is dominated by the sound recording.

It would be nice if I could email somebody at Zoom to talk about a bug they previously fixed but has recently returned…  Seems like I can’t create support tickets anymore for some reason, and the previous ticket is now closed.  This is a previous message from support describing how the bug occurred (their words, not mine): Our engineering team has identified the root cause. It appears that when the meeting was previously deleted and subsequently recovered, it caused the  expiration index to not be cleared. Which then caused the registration index to expire, even though the meeting itself is active.•    The Fix: A permanent bug fix and a database policy update are scheduled for February 7th.•    Manual Correction: After the February 7th release, we will be able to manually correct the index for this specific meeting to restore the link.•    Workaround: In the meantime, to get your registration back up and running immedi

Dear Zoom community, for the last few weeks I have been experiencing severe system slowdowns during Zoom video calls on Linux. In Zoom meetings, it suddenly happens that the interaction with all programs becomes laggy. Can anyone explain why my screen goes black at random times during some Zoom meetings? The sound stays on for a few minutes & I think the others in the meeting can still see me, but then it goes completely dead and I'm logged out of my computer. I have to re-log into my computer to get back into the meeting. This happens quite randomly - sometimes after only about 10 minutes into the meeting; sometimes 30-40 minutes, sometimes never. I've checked all my computer settings, and it's set not to go to sleep for one hour, so I'm pretty sure it's not the computer settings. I can't find any settings in Zoom that could be causing this.

Hi everyone,After a late-May update, I can still see Captions (CC) in Breakout Rooms, but the “Transcript” option is missing inside Breakout Rooms. Therefore, I cannot save the meeting transcripts unless the conversation takes place in the main session.In the main session, the transcript option appears and works. In Breakout Rooms, captions display, but there is no save option in the captions/transcription menu. Version: Zoom Workplace desktop app 7.0.5 (same account and same PC as before)Has anyone else seen this change? Is this a known issue/limitation, or is there a workaround to enable saving captions within Breakout Rooms?If this issue is due to some feature change, I’d like to request a feature enhancement to allow the transcript option in Breakout Rooms.Thanks in advance.

I do a lot of tutoring in math at various levels and I want to be able to do fractions, protractor, coordinates, geometry, and more with the whiteboard instead of having to jump back and forth between screen share and white board. It gets to be quite cumbersome and annoying.

Hello,I am trying to create a new Zoom account for my business email. When I enter the required sign up information the confirmation code is never sent to my email. I have checked all setting in my email and verified information is not blocked or going to spam/junk email. i have also verified no existing account with Zoom for my email.How to fix?? I am grateful for the help!
