Live Transcription (closed captioning) Needs Improvements

is there any way to change the settings on the appearance of the CC/Live Transcriptions during a meeting?

i’m using the web browser client.

there were two tiny lines, squashed to 1/10th of the screen width, and they kept changing order as different people were speaking.  there wasn’t any way to resize the caption area, or change font size/colour/background.  (that i could find, anyway.)  is that it???

Hello, @bl r! Thanks for joining the Zoom Community.

Yes, there are ways to customize captions, though what's available can be more limited in the web browser client than in the Zoom desktop app.

In the Zoom desktop app, you can change the caption appearance during a meeting:

  • Join a meeting or webinar.
  • In the meeting controls toolbar, click the arrow next to Show Captions.
    • If you don't see Show Captions, click More first, then Show Captions
  • Click Caption settings.
  • In the Accessibility panel, you can adjust:
    • Font size
    • Caption color (text and background)
    • Font type
    • Position (either pinned to the bottom of the meeting window or displayed in a movable, resizable pop-out overlay)

If you're using the web browser client, the available caption settings may be more limited than those in the desktop app. As a result, options such as resizing the caption area, changing the font, or customizing caption colors may not be available in the browser experience.
