Meetings

Greetings all, I recently downloaded Zoom for my laptop and can't get myself ready for meetings. More specifically, I'm unable to get my camera and USB mic to work, even though I've been using these without incident on Teams and other conferencing platforms. For instance, if I go to video settings, my camera's light is turned on, but the preview is just a black screen. Accessing these settings causes the Zoom client to hang - forcing me to choose to end task - yet my camera's light stays on, and I have to disable and re-enable the camera app from Windows settings to reset the camera. On the audio side of things, the speakers' test works fine, but not the mics'. Testing both the built-in and USB mic yields nothing. I tried the solutions found in Zoom's knowledge base. I uninstalled and reinstalled the client, updated Windows, drivers, restarted my laptop,  and checked the relevant permissions, to no avail. I'm running Windows 10 on an HP Probook. Looking forward

Hi, There is a subtle background blur I can't get rid of. The Blur My Background option is disabled.  Check the screen capture attached: unprocessed video feed from the camera at the right, and Zoom's at the left.Note that the blur is really soft compared to the Blur My Background effect. I tried multiple cameras and software, and I'm very positive that Zoom is adding that soft blur. Any idea why this is happening and how I can get the full unprocessed video feed on Zoom?My specs are:MacBook Pro M1 Max 16'', Mas OS Ventura 13.4.Cameras I tested:Logitech Brio 4k, Display iSight, FaceTime HD Camera, iPhone 14 Pro Max Camera Zoom 5.14.7 b18149  Looking forward to any help you can provide. Thanks!

When I schedule a meeting or accept an invitation to a meeting the invite shows up in my calendar but the invite doesn't include the link for me to cclick on to open the meeting. And I don't receive email confirmations for "My meeting"  Does anyoen else have this problem or kinwo how it can be resolved?

We are very regular users of Language interpretation on Zoom.  In a meeting today, on one interpretation channel (out of 4) we were systematically getting the original audio and the interpreter's voice mixed at about 50% volume each - which is clearly unusable.  Selecting  "mute original audio". on that channel did not change anything.  The situation was the same with all interpreters using that channel. When they switched to another channel, the problem went away - and we confirmed hearing their voice only on that other channel after selecting "mute original audio".  It sounded like a regular audio mix and was not due to sound leakage from the interpreters' system - we checked. If sound leakage had been the root cause we should have heard it on both channels.  All interpreters were using the last Zoom client update on Win or MacOs.  We could not stop interpretation and restart. We tried logging out one interpreter and si

I don't host meetings - I attend them generally via a link I am sent via email.  I constantly receive a prompt 'Your Network Bandwidth is Low'.  I have changed internet provider to try and get to the bottom of this.  No progress.  It would seem no-one wants to take responsibility.  I can find no resolution that I can understand myself to implement.  I have already tried 2 internet providers, I suspect this problem is set to continue.  The local computer shop can find no issue with my laptop and so I remain stuck with this problem which I cannot solve.  Just desperate to get resolution, but no idea who to ask for assistance that I can understand as an attendee.

Summary of Request:I respectfully propose the implementation of a feature within Zoom that allows the host to set "Original Sound for Musicians" to be permanently enabled by default for both the host and all meeting participants, with no need for toggling during each meeting. This should be in the initial setup and emailed as part of the link to our client so that they never have to hunt for or have to change to the "original sound" for this setting.Current Issue:Despite enabling “Original Sound for Musicians” in account settings, users must still manually activate it in every single meeting. For music instructors like myself—who teach dozens of students, many of whom are children or elderly—this creates significant inefficiencies:- Valuable lesson time is lost teaching clients how to locate and enable the setting.- The option is inconsistently placed across devices and updates, causing confusion.- This directly impacts the quality of instruction, retention of students, and my business

Hi everybody,There is a “Voice Recorder with AI Companion” feature that some of our researchers would like to use.  We have it set to “off and locked” at the account level due to several concerns with privacy. We were hoping to create a group where this “off and locked” feature could be turned on and available, but just for this group.  However, we can’t do that unless we unlock the feature at the account level, which we do not want to do.Are there any plans to accommodate a use case where an “off and locked” feature at the account level can be overridden by a group that is set up by an account admin?  The goal in this case is to give the group of researchers access to the Voice Recorder wit AI Companion, but continue to leave it off and locked for the rest of our users.  Thanks!

I just created two different Zoom meetings. I selected recurring meeting>no fixed time. Now they don't show up in my list of meetings on my dashboard. This is highly inconvenient. Now I can't easily join the meetings from my list of meetings since they are not listed and nowhere to be found. Does anyone know if there is a way to locate them in my account?

if sending multiple Zoom invitations out via email will all attend these invitees be able to see each other’s email address

Just in Zoom my face is very big, i need to distance 2 meter from my laptop to be in normal size. This is not normal, in other prgrams the picture is normal. Sorry, i am not English native speaker.

Last month the chat has changed and it is very bad when you use zoom for teaching. Before the message send to the host was displayed in the same window regardless the author and the author was indicated just before the message. Now each discussion is displayed in a separated window. This is awful when you use zoom for teaching session because the host has to switch between windows to see the answer of each student to a question. Of course it is possible for the students to send their answers to '"everybody" but at that time every body see the response of every student which is bad for teaching.Give us the option to go back to the old chat.JP PEGHAIRE

When I am hosting a meeting and sharing my screen my computer performance gets really laggy.   It takes a long time to open documents or change screens.    I have optimized the perfromance on my computer.  I have cleaned up the disk space and it is still very laggy and would appreciate advice.

Zoom: 6.6.11Ubuntu 24.04 (Gnome/wayland) When I open the reaction emoji popup, if I move the mouse the popup disappear. This make impossible to react to chat messages.

my browser is not allowing my mircophone access, how do I fix this? I have checked and everything is set to allow...

Every time a meeting ends, my computer with Windows 11 Home crashes and restarts. Version 22H2. Installed RAM 16.0, 64-bit operating system, no touch screen. Sure would like a resolution for this. Thanks in advance.

For some reason I can’t share my screen even if I am host and also I am on a Malden public schools

At the end of last year, direct messages would have their own tab in the chat. I switched to running my classes in zoom because I liked that feature. Upon my return to school this year, that feature was gone. I really liked it because my direct chats get lost in the shuffle of all other messages and I am missing student chats. Is there a way to get that back or maybe a setting that I need to make for this to happen again?Thank you

Hello, can anyone tell me how my zoom participants can share their photos that they have on their computer or phone?  I tried doing so myself and the picture comes up but it is small.  Is there a way to share a photo to the chat box?

The aspect ratio for my camera is off, but only in zoom. Teams works fine. Other apps that access my camera work fine.I have tried selecting “Original ratio” and it adds black bars to both sides of the image and squishes it. Without “original ratio” the camera is “zoomed in” vertically, but obviously squished. The “HD” selection feels like it should fix it, but that does nothing as far as I can tell.Any recommendations appreciated.  Normal Camera Program:Normal camera program. Notice round PB cup top right.Zoom without original ratio. Notice oblong circular PB cup top right.Original ratio - black bars - still oblong PB cup top right.

Hi, thanks for taking my question. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to have the control toolbar always on the host's primary laptop screen and not on the extended monitor screen. I don't want my in-house audience to see how many participants or any of the control features. I want to manage zoom independently on my primary screen. Any guidance would be appreciated. Italian Genealogy GroupPicture Example

During my last zoom meeting, I experienced intermittent pausing. I generally use my laptop, which has been working for years. What is causing this?

Hello, I recently bought a new Dell G15. I play weekly Dungeons and Dragons via Zoom where the host shares music with us. I can hear everyone speaking, but cannot hear the music. Everyone else can hear the music perfectly. I can only hear their voices. Someone other than host tried sharing music. Everyone else could hear it except me. I can hear my friends voices perfectly fine. It is as though some setting is automatically muting the music. This happens when I use the base speakers and microphone on the laptop, or when I use a Snowball external microphone and headphones, or when I use airpods. Any combination of base system, headphones, external microphone, I can hear my friends' voices but cannot hear the music.  Yes, I have made sure to select the correct output speaker and input headphones, in both desktop client settings and in the actual meetings. No combination of selected speaker (Speakers Realtek Audio, Same as System Speakers Realtek Audio, or Headphones) and s

During Covid, I built an assistive device which the device being used for Zoom meetings sees as a keyboard. It has buttons on it that allow for very quick and easy access to two functions, Mic Mute, and Raising your Hand. It works very well on Windows, though I have not had a user using Mac to test it on that platform.I inquired about this first question in 2021 or so, and I was told it was actually being worked on. I understand why keyboard shortcuts for toggling Mute and the Hand are used, as the user most of the time can see the indicators on screen. Assistive devices, though would work so much better if there was separate keys for Muting, and Unmuting, as well as Raising the hand, and Lowering the hand. I would never suggest removing the current keys, but perhaps keys that perform these functions could be added? Could that be possible?Another question I have has to do with mobile devices, which more and more are being used with keyboards. I feel that it would be of great benefit for

We are a small non-profit with a Zoom Pro account that we share amongst different people.  That is, we have a number of different meetings all owned by the same Zoom account, but  different people run them and all those people have a need to log into Zoom using our one Zoom Pro account in order to run the meeting as Host..    Let's say that the one Zoom account is "***********" and note that one person only can log into that email. Today, for the first time, someone got the message, "We detected an unusual sign-in from a device or location you don't usually use. If this was you, enter the code below to sign in to Zoom"  and, of course, Zoom sent the code to *********** but the person running the meeting was not the person who has access to the email! You see the problem.  How can we turn off that security email?  I am aware that if we enable 2 Factor Authentication the verification email will not be used - but I don't thi
