Recording starts automatically even though it is set to OFF

At some point my Zoom started recording my video meetings automatically every time I start it up.  I went into the settings and the "switch" for automatic recording was already switched off.  How can I stop it?  I tried switching it on

Remove the red dot notification from Dock generated by Team Chat

This red dot from the Zoom dock icon needs to go. It entirely bypasses the system preferences, even if you disable badges and notifications the red dot persists as long as you have unread Team Chats.This is entirely unnecessary and horrible UX design
