Hi @PX80_2, welcome to Zoom Community! Below are some steps and best practices to get the most out of your video experience:

    • You can fine‑tune how your background appears to maintain focus on the presenter while keeping a professional look. To adjust background clarity:

      1. In the Zoom desktop client, go to Settings  → Background & Effects.
      2. Under Virtual Backgrounds, choose either:
        • blurred background (softens what’s behind you), or
        • custom image/video background for a professional environment.
      3. Use the Blur Strength slider (available in the latest Zoom versions) to adjust between:
        • LowMedium, and High blur levels.
        • The maximum blur level provides the most background softening without affecting your face clarity.
    • To improve overall clarity and sharpness during webinars or meetings:
      1. Enable the following options:
        • HD — improves resolution up to 720p (1080p available for Business Plus accounts by request).
        • Adjust for low light — automatically brightens your video in darker environments.
        • Touch up my appearance — smooths facial details slightly without reducing clarity.
      2. Make sure your camera lens is clean, and your lighting is bright and even (natural or soft white light facing you).
    • Best practices for Large Webinars:
      •  Use a wired internet connection whenever possible for stable, high‑quality streaming.
      • Close background apps to free up CPU/GPU resources.
      • Use spotlighting to keep the presenter in focus instead of gallery view.
      • For panel discussions, ensure each presenter uses good lighting and HD cameras.
      • Test your webinar settings in a practice session to confirm clarity before going live.
    • Limitations and considerations:
      • HD video (720p or 1080p) availability may depend on your account settings and admin enablement.
      • For High blur or virtual backgrounds may increase CPU/GPU usage, use moderate settings if you notice lag.
      • If you’re streaming to a large audience, Zoom may optimize resolution dynamically to maintain stability.

    Hope this helps! 🙂
