Hey my niece has a crappy old Windows laptop, and I was considering converting it to a Chrome Book using ChromeOS Flex. but she's weary of using ChromeOS because of Zoom.The default (old) Zoom app for ChromeOS, as well as the new Zoom - For Chrome (PWA) are both great for video calls, but both lack 1 critical feature.During Zoom meetings there's an "in meeting chat" that works great. but her and all her friends use the "Zoom Chat" (or external chat -not in meeting) to communicate all the time with her friends about everything, but both the default (old) Zoom & the new Zoom PWA don't contain this chat feature.1. Is there anyway to add external Zoom chat (not in meeting) to the Zoom PWA app?2. How do I download the Android Zoom app (Zoom Cloud Meeting), in which the external Zoom chat works great, on my Chromebook?As when I go to the app store it says my device is not compatible, even though ChromeOS can run android apps which is what Zoom Cloud Meeting is? Thank you very m

Hello! When I was making a zoom account, I accidentally pressed the Educator Account option and now I cannot log into Zoom with that account. I am currently using a different email to post this. Is there a chance that I can switch my account to the default one?  Thank you.  

In a meeting, can the host block a specific user from sending any chat messages, while allowing all other users to send chat messages?  If so, how? TIA

I had registered to attend a Zoom educational seminar, but finally could not attend the session. Is there a way I can watch a past Zoom event, which, however, was not recorded by the host? Perhaps by purchasing a Zoom premium account? I  do have the meeting ID and the access code. Thanks in advance.

Dear all,i like to schedule a zoom meeting in which participants can only join only when they enable video ON. participants who disable video prior to joining the meeting should not be allowed to join the meeting. is there an option to not allow participants in zoom meet whose video is disabled?

Today, someone impersonated me with my name and put a nasty message in chat so that everyone thought it was me. There were at least two zoom bombers I and my co-host could identify.  It all happened very fast when there are multiple zoom bombers.We enabled Waiting Room and then removed the zoombombers but couldn't identify who impersonated me.After the zoom meeting, I went through active host report and registration and identified several zoom bombers but when I tried to CANCEL their registration, a pop up window appeared with blank email to send to them. I don't want that. I just want to REPORT them. How do I do so after the zoom meeting?

Hi, this might seem like an odd question, and I have researched a bit and couldn't find an answer to it, so here goes: I'm in a country where the Internet is very slow and sometimes my zoom meetings end up having hiccups (the connection goes bad for a second and I lose a bit of the speech). When hosting a meeting and recording, can I avoid the usual hiccups that occur due to weak internet connections by using cloud recording? Also, if I have a hiccup on my connection, will it appear on the recorded file if everyone else's connection was OK, if using cloud recording? I'm sorry if the questions are a bit confusing, but hope the message goes through. Hi, Is there a way to restrict our app exclusively for zoom licensed users ?

New function popup blocked at each Zoom startup, impossible to close, even if you try to use the new functions to create folders, canals "and more". Rebooting the app don't make it go away.Confirmed with a colleague that after upgrading Zoom he have the same problem.Zoom version 5.11.0 (6569), updated late last week. 

I have scheduled a webinar with panelists. Then I changed the date/time of the webinar. The panelists have not received an updated panelist email. How do I re-invite existing panelists? The discussion "Panelists invites" says that panelists will automatically receive an updated invitation if the date/time change, but this has not happened.   

If I upgrade Zoom from Basic to Pro, will my personal meeting i.d. be affected?

ZOOM automatically renewed the past subscription and I had to pay the annual bill (which covers until March 2023) although I requested the cut. This cut would not take effect until March 2023.But here, I had to pay the invoice (attached), late. The problem, ZOOM cut the subscription and put me in basic level.No reactivation despite payment (still in basic for 2 months and we've been rowing for our lessons since.How to solve this?

I'm trying to find a way to ensure that gallery view will be used for recordings instead of speaker view but I do not see an option to do that in the recording settings. I have a free account could that be why? Thanks

Hi! I want to be able to set up zoom meetings by dropping a link in a recurring monthly calendar invite to 5 or so other people. I won't actually be on the zoom (i am just an organiser) so how do i leave a link they can click on and someone is the "host" or no one is a host and everyone is granted presentation rights, no waiting room...and the 'Host' or first person online can test the setup 5mins before meeting?THANKS in advance, very new novice zoom user.

Hello! I am with a company that is online only and uses many Zoom meetings for workshops every week.  I am struggling right now because I have 7 different facilitators who need to use the Zoom account, sometimes on the same day! Some questions I would love answer to would be:  -Is 2 the maximum number of people allowed to host on a business account? -Is there a way to reject someone trying to log into a specific Zoom account? (Sometimes we will host 2 meetings then     someone else will try to log onto that same account and it will kick someone off)- Do any other businesses use Zoom in this way? If so, how do they do it? - Are there any other "versions" of Zoom (webinar, training, etc.) that we should be looking into?  One of the new issues we're running into is facilitators needing a code to log in that is only sent to my email address. I won't always be able to send them this code, so any ideas are very welcome! Thank you for any

I have an issue by setting up a meeting via Outlook.When I set up a meeting with only 1 other participant the meeting is limited to 40 minutes!I thought a 1: 1 meeting has no limits? Am I wrong or did the rules changed?What do I have to do different to have a timewise unlimited 1:1 meeting? Thank you for your helpHolger

Hello! When I call a slack channel through Huddle, the call icon for the channel appears in the sidebar. But when I call the channel through Zoom, the call icon for the channel does not appear. How can this be fixed?

Cheers everyone!The situation is that we want to make a lottery among the participants of the meeting, and do it right at the moment of the meeting. Lottery is a regular randomizer. And here is the easiest way of such a draw is to export the list of conference participants, throw it into the randomizer and just click the button. But I do not know how to get this list. I hope someone knows how to do this, otherwise I will have to manually number all the participants. Thank you in advance

We would like to pre-assign 10 individuals to each of 10 breakout rooms, and then, when we have started the meeting, have Zoom assign all the rest of the people to the rooms randomly. Will that be possible to do? The main need is to ensure that each of the rooms has a person we have identified as facilitator (not a co-host.). We don't know in advance who the rest of the participants will be. Thanks.  (PS: I've seen this similar question on this forum twice before and so far, unanswered.)
