Hi, I'm new to zoom. I am wanting to convert a zoom video into text. Is this possible?

Similar to this topic, I would like to have dark mode on Linux. As a Linux user, I feel that the topic didn’t fully address the kind of assistance both the original poster, users, and I were hoping for. The current setup still leans heavily on light mode, which can be pretty harsh on the eyes, especially during long sessions or late-night workflows. While there are three options to tweak the top bar and meeting background, they don’t touch the Zoom background itself, which stays glaringly white. That sudden brightness spike is jarring, basically being flashbanged at 3 in the morning. So, a proper dark mode that darkens everything, not just fragments, would be a huge improvement. Including this in the theme selection or rolling it out in an upcoming Linux update would go a long way in reducing eye strain and making the experience more cohesive. Hoping this gets prioritized. (refined with Grammarly)

How do I stop getting material that is unwanted? The option to delete is not available.

Hello, When I start screen sharing, the annoying floating toolbar appears and obstructs part of my screen.  Worse yet, people watching my presentation see grey boxes.  I know there is an option inside the meeting controls themselves to hide them, but I don't want to have to do this every time.  Is there a way to hide these controls BY DEFAULT? When I share as co-host, it  seems that there is no way of permanently hiding them at all!  Whenever a visitor enters the waiting room, for example, I get a pop-up to that effect, but ALSO the floating meeting controls!  My screen is obscured again. I would like an option to PERMANENTLY hide all of these so that I don't have to hide them manually every time I start sharing.  Also, I would like for them to remain hidden even if I am a co-host;  There are other co-hosts (and, of course, the host themselves) who can manage all the incoming traffic. Thank you.

I'm trying to learn how to use dual monitors and share the Presentation View of PPT slides, which allows me to see the notes for each slide while sharing the other view without the notes. The problem is- I can't see the gallery view any more of the attendees, so if I want to interact with a specific student, I have no idea who is out there? Do I have to share the 'normal view' of PPT slides to be able to see the Gallery View of participants? Also, a secondary issue, when I try to share the 'normal view' of PPT slides, sometimes the screen share 'auto-pauses'.  When I send students to 'Breakout Rooms' for a group task, usually, the previous screen share process has stopped, and it has to be restarted. The restarting process can throw fragments of screens around on the desktop views of the students, which is less than desirable. Any thoughts on how to address this? Getting pretty frustrated here. Thanks for your thoughts.

As virtual assistant coud not help I want to create a ticket to get a response to the issue have (which is to make me the official owner. Account is mine only and I have been paying)

Has anyone else seen this yet? It just started for us. When scheduling a meeting from the outlook addin for zoom OR from zoom itself, at the point that the outlook 'schedule meeting' window opens you can see that MS teams has already inserted a meeting link. This has already caused problems where clients have joined the teams meeting instead of the clicking the zoom link. For now ive removed the teams add-in from outlook add-ins and its solved the problem.

Good morning, I am having issues with my microphone on my Lenovo Flex 7. The microphone is going in and out, and users have said that they can hear me great and then my voice gets very quiet. I have tried numerous strategies from updating my computer, turning audio enhancements off, etc. and nothing has fixed the problem.Any help would be much appreciated!

I scheduled a meeting on the zoom web on Chrome browser and I added an invitees email address but it doesn't look like it sent an invite out. Does it no longer automatically send out a Zoom invite to the invitee's email address?

Hi all!Steps to reproduce the issue:- Move second zoom window to another screen, put it into full screen mode.- Move also any other window (i. e. picture) to the other screen (on top of the second zoom window), put it into full screen mode, too.- Share the second screen, stop sharing and bring the second zoom window on the other screen to the top.> The second zoom window lost its full screen mode. How can I make the second zoom window keep its full screen mode, even after screen sharing?Kind regards,Gerald

Hello!Steps to reproduce the issue:- On a mobile Android device (i. e. tablet) set view to 'Gallery'.- Someone shares something, and stops sharing.> The view changed to 'Speaker'How can I make Zoom to return to previously set view after screen sharing?Kind regards,Gerald

Hello!Zoom version: 5.16.5I am wondering, how I can configure the meeting controls. Why? Because I can use just a part of the screen for the zoom meeting window and there are several controls, we do not need for our meetings, while others "disappear" in the 'More...' button. Therefore I would like to configure, which controls should be visible outside the 'More...' button.Or at least to configure the order of the controls; this way I could ensure, that our really needed controls would be displayed first.Thank you very much for any useful hint!Dear greetings,Gerald

Hi everyone,I'm setting up a multi-session virtual event on Zoom Events, with an Expo featuring Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors, and I've run into an issue with sponsor configuration. **The problem**In the Sponsors tab, each sponsor has a Contact field and a separate Representatives list. For several of our sponsors, the person listed as the main contact is also the person who will staff the booth on the day. When I try to add that same email address as a representative, Zoom rejects it because the address is already in use for that sponsor. **What I'd like to achieve**The sponsor contact should also appear as a booth representative, so they get representative access and show up on the booth info card. **My questions**1. Is this the expected behavior — can a single email address only hold one role per sponsor?2. Is there a supported way to have the sponsor contact also listed as a representative?3. Does the Contact field itself grant any booth access, or is it purely administrative?

Title: Virtual Backgrounds (full list): “Add Image” resets scroll position to top (macOS)Product/Platform: Zoom Workplace desktop app for macOSVersion: 7.2.0 (88195)Area: Settings → Video & effects → Backgrounds & filters → Virtual Backgrounds (full list)Feature request: After uploading a new virtual background via “+ Add Image”, keep the user at the current scroll position in the full Virtual Backgrounds list (or return focus to the currently selected background). Older versions preserved the position at the current background; the current behavior jumps to the top of the list.Impact: User has 800+ virtual background images and changes backgrounds daily. Resetting to the top forces repeated long scrolling and significantly slows workflow.Expected behavior: Preserve the current scroll position and keep the currently selected background in view after adding an image (optionally auto-select the newly added image without resetting the list).Actual behavior: After adding an image,

Can I Link My Zoom Account To Social Media?

Hi,I’ve received email notification that Scheduler Basic (the free version) is being withdrawn from Oct 2026 and will now be chargeable.Does anyone know if this will impact the ability to schedule a meeting via things such a Outlook plug-in or Schedule a Meeting - Zoom when using a ZOOM Workplace Pro account? I can see offers to encourage a further upgrade to ZOOM Business where the full Schedule package is included but I’m not sure if this is really necessary.Any guidance much appreciated.

Need some advice on setting up Zoom for a hospitality company that runs virtual events and training sessions across different regions. We manage properties in various cities including some in pakistan and need a setup that works smoothly for international participants. The use case is: Weekly training sessions for staff spread across multiple locations Virtual events for guests and corporate clients Some sessions run late night here which is morning elsewhere Questions: What is the best way to schedule recurring meetings that accommodate different time zones without confusing participants How do you handle recording storage when you have daily sessions - does anyone use cloud recording or local is better Any tips for managing large webinars where you need to control participant audio and video centrally We are looking at what Grace Hospitality does for their multi property training and they seem to have a decent setup, but want to make sure we are not missing any features that c

I'm curious how other businesses handle recurring Zoom training when their teams are spread across different locations.Hospitality seems especially tricky because staff can be working at different properties and on different shifts. A weekly session might work for one location but be awkward for another.I was looking at how Grace Hospitality manages its different properties and it got me thinking about the same issue for hotels in Pakistan. When teams are spread across cities, things like recurring meetings, recordings and time zones can become surprisingly difficult to manage. For anyone running regular training sessions across multiple locations, do you use one recurring meeting setup or separate sessions for each team?

I don’t know if anyone can help with this, but within Scheduler it’s possible to hide an email address so that when someone has made a booking through the booking page, the email generated shows the name of the person sending but return email address is “scheduler-noreply@zoom.us”However, there is a footer at the bottom of the Scheduler-generated email which says “You are receiving this email because you have an event scheduled with...” and this footer includes the full email address of the person whose booking page has been used.In my organisation for branding purposes we need to not show the email domain at all. Does anyone know if there’s a way to remove the footer?

Hi there,Hoping that somebody can kindly clarify the current position for ZoomMate on AU01-regionally provisioned Australian accounts?ZoomMate now supports ZM+, Zoom’s APIs include ZoomMate licensing fields, and Zoom has publicly identified an Australian customer using ZoomMate, one of our universities. For an AU01 account:Is ZoomMate now supported? If so, it is not listed as an add on that my account can purchase, and it would be great to purchase it.An AU01-specific answer would be very helpful for Australian healthcare customers.Thank you.

Hi everyone! I've created several zoom-meetings for my students. Each meeting has it's own topic, so I want to put a corresponding banner on every meeting's waiting room. But I can't find settings to customize a single meeting. In Zoom support I see only how to change the banner for all the meetings at once. So the question is - can I put different banners for different waiting rooms? If it's possible, where can I find these settings? Thanks in advance!
