Solved

Hello, I would like to provide some feedback on my experience with Zoom. Overall, I am satisfied, but I have a suggestion regarding the waiting room feature. The requirement to manually admit all attendees can be cumbersome and cause frustration. It can lead to important participants being kept in the waiting room, unable to access the meeting during the crucial early moments. This may occur even when the meeting's password protection feature is disabled. For business accounts, attendance is typically already controlled, making the risk of unintended attendees minimal. In these scenarios, the inconvenience of having to manually admit people can outweigh this small risk. It can also prevent a host from being interrupted from performing critical tasks in the meeting, such as properly setting their screen to share or interrupting the flow of the meeting to manually accept attendees. For personal accounts, the risk of having unintended attendees is even smaller.I suggest making it a def

Hello,I have been using zoom for 5 years, have done many recordings. But a recording that I did today that was on the cloud is not in my Recordings tab. Is there a way how can I find it?

Hi,  I am currently doing presentations to some fellow learners through zoom. The first we I did a recording and it went great. The recording recorded the presentation, the learners & I in gallery view. This is what I wanted. Unfortunately the next presentation session, when my recording finished the recording was only of the presentation and nothing else. I have another presentation coming up and I want to get this fixed. YouTube and other guides have not been helpful. How do I get my recording to record in gallery view and not my presentation. Again, when I go on to zoom recording settings no cloud settings come up and thats what all the videos have been telling me to do. Please help

I know there are a lot of questions about chat history, so apologies for adding yet another! However, I haven't found a scenario equivalent to mine, so I'm hoping someone can help. Around an hour ago I ended a meeting but then realised I'd forgotten to manually save the meeting chat. Not to worry, I thought, I've set the chat to save automatically: "Viewers can see the chat" was switched on in Account Settings. However, when I try to access the chat history (Account Management > Reports > User activity reports), I find no chat history. What am I missing? 1. Can I retrieve the chat from this morning's meeting?2. If not, what else needs to be set for chats to save automatically? My Zoom app was on v6.4.12 during the meeting, although it's just flagged it wants to update to v 6.5.9. Many thanks

I can't seem to get the timestamps removed from my recordings, even though I have it unchecked in my settings. Any ideas how to fix this?

I don't see my Zoom meeting today in the Recordings and Transcript section in Zoom. I usually see it after a couple of minutes, but it's been past an hour and still no recording. It's a very important meeting. I checked the Zoom local folder; there's nothing there. Please help!

One of my clients is having a problem connecting his Zoom account to Eventbrite. We keep getting an error message saying "We are having trouble connecting, please try again".Anyone else come across this issue? Maybe this is a tech glitch with Eventbrite or Zoom but it's been going on since yesterday, so not sure what's going on.

I just got suspended when I logged in to Zoom from my laptop. Why?

I received a communication from Zoom using the email address teamzoom @ e . zoom . us. I'd like to confirm whether this is an official and secure address. Can someone from the Zoom team or the community verify if this domain is genuinely associated with Zoom?Thank you!  ref: https://community.zoom.com/t5/Billing-Account-Management/Maybe-a-new-Zoom-scam/td-p/66270

I purchased a zoom license and after using it only a couple of time, it has changed to 'basic' and I don't know how to restore my zoom license that I paid for. Can some one help? Many thanks,

I launched my zoom account from the app icon and it took me to a basic zoom account instead of my Pro account. The email attached to the account was ***********. When I follow the zoom instructions to terminate the account a code is sent to the aforementioned e-mail address which I don’t have access to. Any suggestions how to delete the account?

This is such a simple problem, I can barely believe I need to ask.  My ZOOM software was many months old, so I installed the latest just now and rebooted my Windows 10 PC.  I started ZOOM as usual, but I only get 1 window, the one with the controls along the bottom.  I have always had a second window, which I use for the speaker, and use the first window for the gallery.  I can't find a way to open that second window.  In addition, ZOOM is not showing the feed from my camera.  In video settings it identified the correct camera, but it is only showing my background;  no video at all.  Help!

Hi.  For the Zoom account for my synagogue, Waiting Rooms are disabled and Allow Participants to Join Before Host is enabled.  But it doesn't work.  Participants who attempt to log in before the host still get the "Please Wait for the Host to Start this Meeting."  Some setting must have changed but I can't figure out what.  Any idea why?  Thank you.

Hello, We are getting setup with Zoom Phone and we have a few Yealink desk phones. Does anyone know how to add contacts from within our organization who use Zoom, so I can have them on my phone with their Zoom presence?  Thanks

It would be really nice if we were able to choose where a phone call notification popped up on our screen. Currently, there is only one option: a giant white pop up in the middle of your screen while you're trying to do your job. I'm an administrative assistant and I watch several different phone lines, but I don't always have to answer them. Jabber has a very unintrusive phone call notification pop up in the lower right hand corner of the screen right above the system tray. This option needs to be added for Zoom.  Apologies for not knowing what all the official technology terms are, I am not a tech person.

This is a feature request.  There should be a method for Zoom ZRA retention settings to trump Zoom recordings retention settings.  From discussions with support, if Zoom recordings are set to have a shorter retention period than ZRA, the recordings will be delete/lost for ZRA based on the general recording retention settings. This would give flexibility to automate deletion from regular non ZRA users, without loosing the data from ZRA.

I have a personal free account (email 1). I also have a corporate account as a user, with a different email (email 2). I sign into 'email 2' account and set up my meetings there, but the invite from zoom is sent from 'email 1'. I need it to be sent from the 'email 2' account instead. How do I get this to happen please?

A meeting that I have created in Google Calendar is not showing under Meetings (Upcoming) in the web portal: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming I connected my Google calendar and it does show on the desktop app under Calendar, but I don't have access there to edit the settings (I want to transfer hosting).  Please advise how I can find this meeting and transfer hosting! I have tried removing the Zoom meeting and adding it again in the calendar invite, but that hasn't worked.

My bluetooth headset stopped connecting with Zoom in Dec 2023 (after working for multiple years).  The headset still connects to my phone and works with calls, just not in any zoom meetings. I've uninstalled / re-installed the app, multiple times. Switch on/off my phone, restarted.Cleared the Zoom app cache.Checked microphone permissions.Forcestopped the app and re-opened. Feel like I've gone through all the motions, and still not getting anywhere.   Please help.thanks

I recorded a meeting to the cloud. As the host and administrator, where do I find a report that shows me who viewed the recording? I want to know name of person who viewed, the date, and the time it took them to view the recording. Is this possible?  When starting a recording, a message appears on the top of the video that says, "Who can see your viewing activity?" The pop up window says, "The host and the account owner can see who you are, your contact information (if you're logged in or provided it) and whether you viewed or downloaded their recording."  Where do I find this information? Thank you!Rita

I cancelled my subscription after I was notified of a $248 annual subscription bill, but my credit card was changed so it is couldn't be processed. It says that my paid account features will be cancelled temporarily, which is what I wanted. Is the $248 due for the following year or the previous year (in which case I would still owe the $ for usage)? Do I need to pay it if I cancelled my subscription?shari

Phone numbers no longer appear in the 'Copy Invitation' screen and this has already caused a problem this morning for folks who don't have desktop audio (Microphone) capabilities. What changed?

Participated in scheduled Zoom business meeting today on Win 10 PC using the Zoom app v5.7.4 (804) .  When it ended, there was a prompt to upgrade to the latest version of Zoom.  Got error saying the download failed.   Tried the manual download option using Firefox 92.0.1 but keep getting this error: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG   Tried every suggestion I could find on line but nothing helps.  I don't have -or want- another browser on this PC.  And obviously, FF worked previously to download the Zoom app since it's been installed and running properly for over a year.   Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm using 5.17.5 on my iPad Pro OS 17.2 (21C62)   I see on the release notes (https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0073923) that "Users have the option to switch back to the classic Whiteboard via their meeting settings. Under In Meeting (Basic) settings, users can click the Use Whiteboard by default if available toggle to seamlessly revert back to the classic Whiteboard in their next meeting."   I'm not seeing this anywhere. Suggestions?
