Cancel paid subscription

I cancelled my subscription after I was notified of a $248 annual subscription bill, but my credit card was changed so it is couldn't be processed. It says that my paid account features will be cancelled temporarily, which is what I wanted. Is the $248 due for the following year or the previous year (in which case I would still owe the $ for usage)?

Do I need to pay it if I cancelled my subscription?

Hi @shariw ,

Welcome to the Zoom Community!

The payment you are referring to is for the following year (until June 2026). Please note that when you cancel a subscription, the cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing cycle and you can still use your paid plan(s) until the end of your service period. The previous invoice usually remains payable.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers,

Hi, I'm trying to find somewhere on the zoom site that specifies how long the monthly billing subscription is for? Is it a 12 month contract or can I cancel after one month?

Thanks

Hi @TanyaVeronesi ,

For monthly Zoom subscriptions, the term is only one month. If you want to purchase a Zoom plan for a single month, all you need to do is cancel your subscription before the renewal date to prevent being charged for the following month. Note that the subscription automatically renews each month unless canceled.

I hope this was helpful. Let me know if there are further questions.

If you canceled before the renewal went through, you typically don’t owe anything. That $248 is almost certainly the upcoming annual renewal, not the past year’s usage. Since the card didn’t process and your plan already downgraded, you shouldn’t be charged unless you reinstate the subscription.
