I have encountered about 2 black boxes appearing in my presentation during screen sharing since Jan 2022. One blackbox appeared near the top and the other at the bottom. My laptop uses Windows 10 and I have updated the latest software. I have done all the hacks recommended in the Zoom web page, including changing the NVIDIA settings, video settings and screen sharing settings. Yet, I still have the same problem with the black boxes. Please help to resolve this problem. Thank you!

Is there a way to not have my image become large and in charge when I talk during a meeting? I would feel much more comfortable if just my tile was highlighted.

Is there a way to get some webinar-like results using the most economical meeting plan? We are an HOA association and we are contemplating using Zoom Meetings for our Trustee meetings in a way that the residents can observe and remain muted. Ideally, I would like two invitation links… one that forces muting for the residents and one for the Trustees that does not.   However, it looks like a meeting can be setup in a way that everyone or noone get the extra permission-to-unmute question popup upon entering the meeting.  Am I interpreting that correctly?       I would like that the Trustee host doesn't have to specifically unmute the other trustees.    I would also like that the audience members joining the meetings do not distract from the meeting.  Oh, and the Trustees will sometimes be in a conference room.  We can dedicate one laptop to the "

I have a macbook Air running Sonoma 14.6.1. The Facetime HD camera at the top of the screen when running a meeting has three settings under it: Portrait, Studio Light and Reactions. Other people I know have an addtional setting BACKGROUND which has virtual backgrounds that are seemless unlike the standard zoom backgrounds. Does anyone know why I do not have that option or where I could go to get it? Is it the operating system or the zoom? or a setting I missed?  Thanks

MacBook Air 2025 with latest download for Apple Chip is frequently freezing the video both on hosting and not hosting, audio continues fine, some attendees hear an echo.  Had uninstalled and reinstalled including rebooting before re-install.  

I have auto framing off on my macbook and it continues to track my head during meetings. I would like for this feature to be off permanently.

Running latest Zoom on a Laptop running Windows 10 (just re-installed Zoom so brand new).  All has been fine until a week ago when my C drive filled up.  Cleaned that up but now I can't stream to facebook.  I get the following message in the url line https://zoom.us/client_facebook_signin?code_challenge=[a bunch of letters and numbers]. The error is:  This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action.  Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Setting page. Ok, so the question is what file and what is the app??   Can't take any real action until I know that!  Is it Zoom, Facebook or some other app I don't have.  Both Zoom and Facebook are installed! Thanks for any help

Felt like someone from Zoom Workplace should know their Microsoft Store App has an error and can't install with Intune currently due to: "The selected app does not have a valid latest package version. " It's using the old W32 format and needs updated to the new UWP format to install for windows 24H2 Intune++.  

I found a setting that controls the different sounds you can select for notifications. But I REALLY need to hear a notification when someone enters the waiting room, and that isn't happening. Since Zoom has been changed to force the use of a waiting room, I've had a problem with certain attendees who come to the meetings late while I'm sharing screen+audio, and I miss the visual notification that someone new has arrived. I'm not always focused on my desktop during these meetings (ok, confession -- I actually was distracted during the meeting I was hosting while sharing video). Based on my experiences joining other people's meetings, I've heard such notifications. But I'm not getting them myself -- just the tiny banner that appears. What am I missing? Why am I not getting any audible notification?

I just ended a zoom meeting, shocked by what happenedAfter someone joined a meeting I hosted and while asking him to identify himself - he started cursing everyone  how can I track his phone number or any ID information ? Thank you all in advanced

I have an accessibility question. Is there a way to invert the colors of just the screen share portion of the meeting window (of what someone else is sharing)? Being of low vision I'm ultra sensitive to the traditional white backgrounds of apps. Having everything on my computer in dark mode works well for me, but when on a meeting I'm blinded by someone who shares their screen, and I'm unable to follow along or help them as a result. Being able to invert just the shared portion of a meeting would be life changing. Thanks for any tips or suggestions!

When I use the "test speaker and microphone" option from within zoom the speaker test fails BUT the microphone test works and I can hear the microphone playback through the speakers.  Speakers work for other apps and tests on the laptop which is less than 3 years old. Zoom has worked fine for me with the windows desktop app for 2+ years. I was testing some headphones today in the 1/4" port and when I took them out the speakers no longer work properly in the zoom desktop app. I've tried uninstalling the appCorrect speaker is selected (system speakers built into laptop)Speakers tested and work both through system setting and also if I launch a zoom meeting from the web clientSound is not muted or turned down  Greatly appreciate any assistance.

Zoom Bluetooth issues in version 6.6.xThis is using an Anker Bluetooth Conference Speaker. Update 6.6.1 the Bluetooth speaker would work and play audio but not the microphone Zoom would say cannot connect. This is working fine in Windows for both Speaker and Microphone.  Update 6.6.6, the Bluetooth microphone started working but now the Bluetooth speaker would not. It looks fine in Zoom, but the speaker never plays any volume, this speaker works fine in Windows.  Uninstalled and re-installed 6.5.0 and everything works as normal. 

Before anyone replies, please note that I personally understand how to navigate this issue and am not asking how to do it - I am merely recommending software improvement I work in IT classroom/conference/event support at a university, and a big part of my job is helping people set up hybrid meetings in Zoom.  I very frequently get asked for help screen sharing powerpoints, as the majority of users I help find the interaction to be very confusing.  And indeed, I believe it is unnecessarily cumbersome in 2 major ways -1. It is not intuitive to most people that they must put the powerpoint in full screen before sharing if they are using presenter mode while the computer is set to duplicate displays - and even if they aren't, people are often inclined to share the window rather than the screen, since they see the option to select powerpoint and think "oh, that's what I want to share."  The confusion increases when people switch between powerpoint

Hi,I wonder if anyone can help. When I'm in a meeting everything is being audio-described to me out loud (chat messages, people arriving and leaving etc) which I think means my 'screen reader' settings are on and I don't want them to be.However, when I'm trying to find how to turn them off it seems to be in the 'accessibility' tab. I can't find one of these, and my settings menu on zoom open in my browser looks different to the examples I've seen online, with no accessibility tab.I've tried to download the latest version thinking I may be working off an old version but the hasn't helped. I'm using a MacBook and opening zoom through safari. Any ideas on how I might find the accessibility tab and stop the audio description?!Many thanks 

The last few times I've been in a meeting I haven't been able to get my camera to work. This time it said "Camera being used by other apps. Close apps and try again", except I didn't have any other apps open. I even tried ending Norton on the task manager and turning the Safecam off/on. I've looked through all my settings, both on my computer and on Zoom, and nothing works. But when I go in my settings, I get a preview, so I know the camera is capable of working. I don't understand what's going on. If it helps I use an Acer.

Hi. We're hosting internal presentations on Zoom Meetings. Some of our guest presenters will be external (different email domain), some internal to our company (same email domain). I'll be made a co-host by the meeting creator. I want some private prep time with the guest presenter prior to allowing everyone to join to do A/V checks, housekeeping, and the like. It'll be me, the host, and the presenter. A few minutes before the scheduled meeting time, I'll allow the attendees in. If we enable the Waiting Room feature, we can let the guest presenter in, and up to a few dozen people will be waiting. 1. Can we allow everyone in at once?2. Can the Waiting Room be disabled so late attendees can come in without host interaction?3. Is the Waiting Room the best way to resolve this problem?4. Hello, I use Zoom many times a day, and the desktop app launches directly from links in calendar invites. Is there a way to bypass the webpage that systematically opens and stays open even though it reroutes to the desktop app? As I have multiple Zoom calls every day, I end up with unnecessary open Zoom webpage tags in my browser, it messes up with my OCD 😉  I looked in settings, etc. but I could only find the converse, ie allowing users to open in browser as opposed to the desktop app.  Thanks!  

Hello, my company is in the process of deploying Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon gen 13 (model 21NT) across our enterprise, and we cannot get Zoom audio to work anymore on USB wired Plantronics headsets for those people who have the new laptops.  Normally I would chalk this up to the laptop since that's what's changed, but it's just audio and only in Zoom.  The headsets work fine for Windows system audio, work fine in Teams and other audio applications, and even the microphone works fine and records and plays back OK in Zoom if I select a different audio device to test with. Things I have tried so far: updating the firmware on the headset (the one I'm testing with is a Plantronics Blackwire 3215, I'm not sure of the specific model others with the issue have but they're all similar models), updating all drivers and firmware on the laptop, updating Zoom.  I'm testing with Zoom 6.5.12. Has anyone else encountered this issue?  I realiz
