Zoom by default only allows the host/co-hosts to record the meeting. The host would have to grant "Allow to Record Locally" privilege to any participant in order for them to record the meeting.

This unfortunately does not stop somebody determined to record the meeting from using any number of external methods to do so. Screen recorders, using their mobile phone, 3rd party apps, etc.

This happened to me yesterday. I agreed to a recording, presuming it was from my co - host. Is there any way to find out which attendee recorded the meeting?

Based on this statement “The host would have to grant "Allow to Record Locally" privilege to any participant in order for them to record the meeting.”  What are the steps needed to check the status of whether the “Allow” privilege is set or not?

Zoom already limits local recording to the host and co-hosts unless the host gives a participant permission to record. The tricky part is that this can’t completely prevent someone from using an external screen recorder or another device to capture the meeting.
