Difficulty sharing Adobe Reader pdf files using Share function of Zoom on a MacBook

Which application are you using to open the PDF files? There are a couple of ways to address this issue:

1. Simple approach: Open the file in your PDF reader first, then select the PDF reader window from the share picker to share it.
2. Alternative: Under the More tab, use "Portion of Screen" to share a specific area instead of the entire screen."
3. Advance: If the pdf files are on the cloud drive, use “chrome tab” under the bottom of the Screen tab to share a specific chrome tab.

I am using Adobe Reader to open my pdf files.  I was using the Apple Preview program first  but it had the same problems so I tried Adobe Reader to open the pdf files and had the same issue.

The issue is this.  On my pc in the past, I was able have several pdf files loaded on the pc.  I would use Zoom Share Screen and it would show a window where I could select any number of files including open pdf files.  All the pdf files would show there and I could select any of them and they would instantly appear on the Share Screen for my client and then I could annotate on them.  On this new MacBook Air,this is not working.  I have either a set of open Word or pdf files but when I go to Share Screen, although there are boxes with the file names beneath, only some of the files have little previews in them, and others are just white filled boxes but they still have file names.  Selecting ANY of the choices does NOT display the right Word or pdf file and I have to physically then minimize or select AFTER the share screen has started.  In other words, the file I select is NOT the one that is displayed, at least at first until I force it to, as the actual shared file.  It is interesting that when I select a file to share, momentarily I can see a preview with Zoom that says something like “Document 5 is shared” yet when that disappears, it shows a different document that is open on the computer.  I hope this makes more sense now.  I think I understand what you are saying about using a share picker but it is very convenient for me to be able to select any number of open pdf or word files directly from the Zoom Share window and actually have that selected file open to be shared.  That is much more direct.  I hope this makes more sense.  let me know if you have any other ideas.

Could you take a screenshot or video (would be better) to explicitly show the whole operation, especially the part where "There are boxes with the file names beneath, only some of the files have little previews in them, and others are just white filled boxes but they still have file names"?
