I've been using zoom to take remote music lessons for about a year.  This past lesson I was in a new house/room, and I noticed that part of the screen is blurred and the affected area changes as I move around. I have no filters or effects, and I've never seen this before.  When I'm not holding the instrument the background is a bit out of focus.  When I hold the instrument, part of the instrument is out of focus also.   This is running Zoom Workplace on an iMac (macOS 15.6.1) , and I get this effect on both the built-in camera and a Logitech C920S. Behind the camera is a big window, and it's a cloudy day.  Yesterday it was sunny and I got the same effect.  I'm including links to screen grabs on my google drive (I hope that's OK) of just me and me with the bass to show the effect. Any ideas? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wb8JT40CzWbWehD0VCvN--La--oMi5I9/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-Ps15okCYlVFnGBHJsN1dk7AHpDNu

When I join a zoom meeting where I don't have to log in to my zoom, I somehow reset my screen name to a random series of numbers. I've looked everywhere in my account, and I can't find where this random number was entered (and therefore, I can't figure out how to change it). Does this ring a bell for anyone, and can someone point me to where I should look to fix it?

I would like to set a 1-hour meeting as a default template so that I don't have to set the end time manually for every meeting  I schedule. I can create the template, but there I don't see a way to nominate it as the default. Is there another way to set a default meeting duration?

We were just zoom-bombed by someone who posted a string of offensive sayings in the chat. They were all identical and appeared quickly before I could remove and report the user. I then deleted his chats one by one. Is there a way that I could have deleted his entire string of chats at once?

During my Zoom conference, there were disturbing messages in the chat coming from 3 participants who I personally know would never do things like that. This has happened a few times with different participant names. Zoom bombers somehow can use the name of any random participant to send disturbing messages.   Does anyone have the same experience like this? I've researched Zoom bombing cases, but not one mentioned hijacking names and chats.

It is new? "Your free meeting has just ended. Wait 9 minutes before starting a new meeting.

I forot to pay this plataform, and the meetings I've had recorded disappeard. How can I recover....

Hello,On September 18, we organized a Zoom Webinar for one of our clients, but we experienced trouble connecting to the Zoom servers. The client has a strict firewall policy and needs to know which ports to open before we can access Zoom. Could someone please provide a list of the ports that need to be opened in the firewall, and clarify whether there is any difference between the port numbers for a free Zoom Meeting and a paid Zoom Webinar session?Kind regards,Remco

Hello, I recently bought an iPad mainly to use for recording zoom classes but I found that it doesn’t record internal audio .Please can you add a feature that lets us record internal audio on iPad in zoom or tell me a way that I can record internal audio with without cloud recording. It would be really useful for studying and recording classes.

Hi we are using zoom in our environment, however we see traffic to this url "captive2.onzoom.com" is blocked by our firewalls, I would like to know when this will trigger and what process triggers this url

We’ve installed the Zoom Phone for HubSpot integration, but it’s not logging any calls. We also tried making calls directly through HubSpot, but the calls are not going through.

Hi!  I am a tutor and I meet with children 1:1 via Zoom.  I use a Personal Meeting ID number for these kids to preserve privacy (at least to the limited group of kids that I work with).   I am now wanting to host a reading hour for the same kids to attend, but would want to have them invite friends to it if they would like.I would like to send out an invite with a PMID number that they can share with others and also connect with me themselves. What is the best way to do this?  I am understanding that I cannot have a second PMID for my account...only one.   Thanks!

Is there a way to have a standard cover page added to the beginning of outgoing faxes? Perhaps this is an antiquated practice but many individuals are likely to want to include a cover page with a fax. Certainly we could manually add a cover page to each fax but looking for a more automated solution. If there is not an efficient way to do this currently, does Zoom intend to add this feature?

I h know how to get to virtual backgrounds, the problem is there are no backgrounds to choose from

I am the host of my meetings and intially I used to be able to record my meetings. Now I can't seem to record my meetings because everytime I click record, I get the error message "Recording features can't be started unless the host has joined". What do I do?

How can I prevent participants from recording a specific meeting using apps like Fathom?

I recorded a virtual play using Zoom, and didn't realize until after that it was only recording the person speaking at that moment. Since the whole thing was recorded, is it possible there is a way to switch it to the "everyone" version of it so both actors are consistently visible, or is it too late for that? And how do i prevent this in the future?

Greetings, we are looking to incorporate Delivery Management into our environment and find its very easy and straight forward to use. The one use case we cannot find any documentation on is when receiving a package destined for a department (group) rather than an individual user such as marketing or accounts receivable.  I was hoping to be able to use "user groups" under user management or be able to prepopulate a list of group email addresses, but they do not show up in the recipient field when adding a scanned delivery. Curious on current best practices to accomplish this.

In the last two weeks -- there's been reports from some of our clients where their Zoom Room controller is showing that the Room Controls cannot connect to the Zoom Room appliance PC. A "Retry" button shows but pressing it will not reconnect the device. Multiple conference rooms are affected by this issue currently. All affected rooms are running Android-based Zoom Room controllers and Windows PCs as the Zoom Room appliance. They are on the latest 6.5.5 version, and I noticed there was a note that said the following:Resolved an issue that prevented third party room controls from working correctly. Android Controller The simplest way that fixed all rooms' (the three of them in this case) Room Controls on the Zoom Room Controller was simply restarting the Zoom Room app on the Windows PC (exiting and re-launching the app). We're monitoring the situation still - but is it likely the patch isn't fully applied, or is there an additional step we're missing? Does TCP p

Zoom has this feature built into the client https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0058114, is it possible to access this from zoom rooms?

I have upgraded my account so that I can have/host meeting for up to 23 hours a day.Once I walk out of the physical office and the call is inactive or an hour or so, the meeting turns off and it tells me "the meeting has ended after 40 minutes idle time". I would like the meeting to keep running even when there is no movement or conversation as we would like to come back and continue. Please help.  Idle time meaning that the call had no interation.

I am using Mac OS 13.2 and recently my Zoom background is always blurred unless I have a photo for my virtual background.  I have tested with multiple cameras (built-in, iPhone, NexiGo) and all show this behavior in Zoom.  It does not occur in other apps such as FaceTime or Photo Booth.  It is not quite as blurred as the "Blur" option in the "Background & Effects" but clearly out of focus. I notice this only on my MacBook Pro and not my iPhone. This is fairly recent behavior and I cannot find any setting in either the desktop or web client that corrects it.Has anyone seen this behavior or know how to correct it?

I am writing to express my frustration regarding unauthorised webinar invitations I have been receiving.Unsolicited Invitations: I am being invited to webinars and meetings I did not sign up for. These invitations come from users who have added my email address without my consent. No Unsubscribe Option: The invitations lack an unsubscribe link, preventing me from removing myself from their mailing list. This raises privacy concerns and violates standard data protection practices.Steps I have already taken:Verified that I did not sign up for these webinars.Attempted to find an unsubscribe or opt-out option but found none. What I need to happen immediately:Remove me from this particular user's invitation list to ensure I no longer receive further communications from them.Implement measures to prevent my email address from being added to any Zoom webinars, meetings, or invitations in the future without my explicit permission.I have not included any personal or identifiable information in li

Not sure if this is the right place to post/request this, but here it goes!We are starting to utilize the new fax cover sheet templates, which are great!! But there's one small issue we'd like to see improved. On the "From" line of the cover page, it is adding in the sending user's display name which is great. However, lots of our users in our org have various letters, designations, certifications, etc. in their display names that all have various special characters such as ®, ™, and ©On the actual fax cover page that is sent, instead of the actual symbol, the cover page has " : registered : " in place for "®" I would love to see if Zoom could update this to support the special characters themselves so that they display properly
