Default meeting template or duration

I would like to set a 1-hour meeting as a default template so that I don't have to set the end time manually for every meeting  I schedule. I can create the template, but there I don't see a way to nominate it as the default.

Is there another way to set a default meeting duration?

Are you scheduling meetings using the Zoom app or through the portal (zoom.us)? I'm afraid the default one-hour duration is for the portal only and not in the Zoom app.

    Hi dnr16,

When you schedule a meeting, the default duration is 1 hour. Is it showing differently on your side?

Yes, the start time and end time are shown as the same and I have to alter the end time manually.

why are there so many features that are only available via the web portal when the web portal always tries to redirect to the app? Why are the features (such as setting a one hour default meeting time-- like it used to be, and saving meeting invitation templates, for example) only available in one place and not across the program?

    Ah, that explains it.

It would be nice to be able to set a default meeting duration in the Zoom app. Could that please be considered for future updates?

Lending support for being able to set a default meeting length as 1 hour. The extra clicks get tedious when you are scheduling 6 meetings a day.

UX 101: If you let someone select something that changes other things, place the selection BEFORE the other things it changes.

Creating a meeting, I want to be able to enter the title, date/times, etc. and inherit general settings from a saved template. However the template pulldown list comes AFTER all the above fields, and when involved, clears out what's been entered.

SUGGESTION: Put the Template pulldown at the TOP of the data entry screen, so the user can select core settings quickly, and then tab to any fields that need unique edits. It's better UX AND draws attention to the fact that the app has these time-saving templates available to users.
