Meetings

I am both a leader and a participant in zoom meetings.  I am using a laptop computer for zooming.  In either roll my screen shows only a gray background with a little locked symbol.  I've tried to follow all of the suggested solutions with no luck.  I am able to participate with audio, but no video.  Please!  Can someone tell me what to do to unlock my video?  Thank you so much!!  🙂

In some meetings that I host I cannot copy the contents of the chat. For example to copy someone's email address that they share in the chat. Is there a setting I'm missing? This used to just work and now it has stopped. Now the only option on my right-click menu is "Select All". (Using Windows 10) Thank you.

We've integrated Zoom into our Mighty Networks account. The interface allows me to set up meetings (even recurring ones) directly from Mighty and post them inside the private group. This I did. However, my Zoom work account does not show the meeting as scheduled. It says I have nothing scheduled.Using the latest version of both zoom and mighty on Chrome. The meetings are created. We have had attendees each week. They just do not show in the Zoom account. I've already checked with Mighty Networks. their answer was to contact Zoom. 

 I recently responded to an automatic update for zoom workplace for windows 10, to 6.4.12Since that update, when I start screen sharing the session immediately pauses."Your screen sharing is paused" and "[x] Stop"Pressing play and it blips, then goes right back to paused.I've tried changing host and sharing settings, allowing everyone to share, etc.  No dice.  

I have a large meeting that needs to have the waiting room feature turned off at a certain point to let many attendees in.  I am unable to get this to work during an active meeting without ending the meeting and restarting after the settings have been updated.  I have found this statement in some automated zoom documentation:"Yes, you can update the waiting room feature during a meeting. As the meeting host, you have the ability to enable or disable the waiting room feature while the meeting is in progress. You can also customize the waiting room title, logo, and description at an account, group, or user level. To update the waiting room feature during a meeting, you can access the waiting room settings and make the necessary changes based on your preferences."Has anyone made this work?  I am aware there are settings for the waiting room in both Profile and Admin. Both of these are turned off

When trying to do so, get a message they can't be found.ExampleMe = Company ADesired Alternative Host = Company B*Currently unable to add anyone unless they are Company A Is there any way to assign Alternative Hosts in this case?Thanks  

Hi, We have just logged into Zoom and noticed that we can no longer see all of our scheduled meetings at once. Instead, we have to enter a date range and only a month at a time can be selected. This is really unhelpful as we schedule numerous meetings months in advance and can often not remember the exact date so being able to scroll through all of our meetings is useful. Making us have to search through our meetings a month at a time takes what used to be  a two minute task and turned it into one that can take ages, and also because this "new feature" is not widely known, we are getting bombarded with other users panicking because they think their meetings have been lost. Is there any way to turn this terrible feature off and go back to being able to see all of our meetings? Thank you!

Hello! I'm a Zoom user from Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. My city is not under Russian control, but Zoom doesn't work from any provider in my city from today's morning. What is the problem? Why can't users from our city access Zoom freely?

I am streaming live tours using the Android app, video streaming always in landscape mode.  When I see a message in chat and press the Chat button, it goes to portrait. I can't turn the phone around as this will spin what the viewers are watching in landscape. How do I get the chat to appear in landscape mode?And is there a way to view chat in the main meeting screen alongside the video image as in the desktop app?Thanks!

Using a Mac mini M1. I have a ton of recordings both the video and audio files and somewhere a few months ago the Mac stopped playing the audio. QuickTime Player opens, the audio file progress bar moves, but no audio plays. It's as if the track is blank. If I open the audio in VLC or another player app, it works fine. So it seems that Quicktime has forgotten the codec? I don't get it. Any thoughts?

I have looked everywhere, in the zoom app, in the web account settings, under meeting advanced settings, avatar is simply not there. on the zoom app I can see it if I am not logged in, but it says to log in to use it, once I log in it goes away, I have tried with basic free account and a work account both do the same thing. Please tell me what I am missing.

Hi Zoom Community!I'm looking for a way to get additional data on usage reports from meetings and what I need is in addition to the participant list and duration of time they attended, but also a duration of time that the participant's camera was on or off.  We have departments/instructors who want to switch to a "camera on" policy during their classroom sessions and are looking for analytics to enforce this.  The gallery view recording only records up to 25 users so that'll work for smaller classes, but not larger classes.Anyway we can suggest this as a product feature if it doesn't exist?

Hello,I'm running into a persistent issue on my Windows 11 PC with the latest version of the Zoom desktop client.Every few minutes, I receive an error notification that says: "zoom.exe is using VCRUNTIME140_1.dll from unknown publisher"I get the same message for other related DLLs, such as MSVCP140.dll.To troubleshoot this, I have already tried the following steps without success:Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the Zoom application.Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages (both x86 and x64).Despite these actions, the error messages continue to appear.Could anyone provide some assistance or suggest other solutions I might try?Thank you.

that the "solution" to getting zoom to stop freezing/lagging is turning off built in Zoom features? Are no engineers seeing this as a problem? BTW, tried everything ever listed in these forums to get zoom to stop lagging every 5 minutes. nothing worked.

For the second month in a row, I can't join Zoom as a member. I work remotely, half of the work is due to this  zoom. Error code 3078. I am not from the sanctioned territory! I am from Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. IP address confirmed by Kyivstar operator. The chatbot requires a host key, but it is impossible to log in to the account - error 403. If someone can contact the developers or help remotely, I will be very grateful. Sorry for the machine translation

This didn't happen before. But for the last couple of weeks, this happens in ALL Zoom meetings I join with different organizations.1. The speaker is speaking, all is perfect.2. The speaker is replaced, giving the word to another speaker.3. I can't listen to the new speaker. Not a word. But others in the meeting can (I use Linux Mint, Google Chrome and join meetings via the Chrome browser, not the Zoom app).4. When I noticed this problem, I found a workaround: I reload the browser's tab. So I reload the zoom meeting, leaving for an instant and joining again.5. With this workaround, I can listen to the new speaker perfectly.But I know this is some bug or imperfection, because before 2 weeks ago, whenever they changed the speaker in any meeting, I always listened perfectly, no matter how many speakers spoke, and this is how Zoom should normally work. I don't want Zoom to be opening 3 different windows for single meeting (one for zoom app home, other for meeting participants, other for screen share). Instead it would be comfortable for me to use tabs. I see setting under `Meetings & Webinars`  called `Display > Meeting Windows View` which is set to `Dual Window` but I could not change it to `Single Window with tabs` because that section is blocked out. Also, Zoom documentation to fix the issue seem to be old which suggest change a non-existent setting under General tab Why is this blocked out? Can anyone help. I got both an audio and video recording but no transcript. is there anyway to get a transcript from the recordings I do have? I tried setting up another mtg and playing the recording. It captures me fine, but not my other person.....any suggestions? 

I want to set up presenter view but when I select the Advances tab in Share screen it doesn't come up with the option to choose share a portion of screen?  Anyone help with how to access this feature?

Hello!  This is more of a suggestion for something we see over and over with our client trainings. When people go out to breakout rooms there is pop up. If they choose X to make it go away, it sends them back to the main room. Then we have to tell them how to go back into the room and make sure they choose "Got it" not the X. This is very disruptive. In most apps/programs X makes a box go away.  We have 20+ Zoom sessions a week, with multiple breakouts and see this over and over. Can this be updated to reflect common usage of X? Thanks!

Is it possible (without using API) to perform a batch sign-out of users?  This would be useful to force users to sign in to the client and absorb changes to their account (i.e. License, Group, Roles, etc).

What happened to the mouse control function? It disappeared from the bar and can’t be found anywhere. Has this function been removed from zoom?

My base-model 14" Macbook Pro (M1 Pro CPU) gets really good battery life unless I fire up Zoom. I've tried it twice so far:1st time - 1hr43m Zoom meeting drained battery from 100% to 38%. Nothing else running in the background.2nd time - 1hr30m Zoom meeting drained battery from 100% to 51%. Again, nothing running in the background.I verified that I am running the "Apple Silicon" version of Zoom with System Information.All I can say is that Zoom absolutely destroys my brand new MBP's battery way too fast!Is anyone else seeing this problem?Tim(cross-posted on Reddit - r/Macbook) 

For the life of me, I can't seem to get the right image size for a Zoom background. From what I've read, the recommended pixel size is 1920X1080. My photo app says the image I'm uploading for a background is 1920x1080, but when I set it for my background, I end up with black bars on the right & left sizes which the help files says indicates "wrong size". Any suggestions welcome. I've uploaded the desired background photo in png format (have tried JPG too which behaves the same way) and also a screen grab of what the background looks like with it's black bars. Any/all suggestions appreciated. Platform I'm on is a windows 10 PC, no green screen if that makes any difference. I've got the most recent Zoom client version, too.
