macOS Video lag when receiving Push notifications

Couldn't find where to submit a bug report, so I thought I'd start here if anybody has noticed the same, or wasn't sure how to solve it.

For about a year, I've noticed the video lag hard occasionally in Zoom, and have discovered the cause. The video lags when I'm on the receiving end of a push notification, when macOS has Portrait or Studio Light (sorry, I can't remember which one of the 2, or if it's both) enabled in the green camera icon in the menu bar. This happens with both iSight camera, or a USB webcam. A colleague and mine tested, and sure enough, when either of us turn off Portrait or Studio Light, then sent the. other a Slack message, the problem went away.

I have the exact same lag/stutter on every notification. I don't have portrait or studio light turned on.

This has been an annoyance for many months, same issue. Seems to be problematic 100% of the time for me, regardless of Studio/Portrait light being enabled in either Zoom or MacOS.

I'm having the exact same issue. Happens on Teams too, so don't think it's exclusive to Zoom. Any ideas?

Adding a +1 to this: this very same issue happens on my Mac M4 Max OS 15.6.

I have opened a support ticket and I did not get a reply after about a week.

When any notification arrives in the MacOS, regardless of the source app, this seems to cause lag in the output of my camera. I can see if in the preview on my device, and my call participants can also see the issue.

This is very disruptive, as I receive frequent notifications and it causes a large portion of my meetings to be disrupted.
