Rooms & Workspaces

Over two years, I have recorded 200 podcasts. using Zoom Workplace on an Imac with a Zoom electronic corp Live Trak L8 audio console.  Suddenly, this week Zoom Workplace no longer recognizes my Live Trak L8.  I had an only chat with a customer support agent who said he had no solution.  Then the next day I got an email from Zoom workplace customer support saying the Zoom Live Trak L8 is no longer compatible with Zoom Workplace. I asked on about 5 Facebook podcast groups if anyone else had this issue.   Nobody seems to have this issue.  I'm wondering why, suddently, Zoom would drop the Live Trak L8 when there are a bazillion of them hooked up.Plus, I just signed up for Zoom Workplace pro for a year at $159.  If i can no longer use Zoom, I wasted my money.

I am experiencing difficulty in enabling virtual backgrounds on the Zoom application for Ubuntu Linux (Version 5.17.1). Despite the computer being capable (as proven by successful background modifications in Microsoft Meetings), I cannot achieve the same in Zoom.Attempts Made:Searched for the ZoomMedia.ini file, including in /etc/zoomvdi/ and ~/.zoom, but it was not present.Tried the find command (sudo find / -name ZoomMedia.ini) without locating the file.Considered creating a ZoomMedia.ini file, but lacked specific configuration details for virtual backgrounds.Could somebody please provide guidance on how to enable virtual backgrounds in Zoom on Ubuntu Linux? Specific instructions on locating or creating the ZoomMedia.ini file, if necessary, would be highly appreciated.

Can anyone tell me how to turn off calendar integration?our ZoomRoom works but each tome it starts up on our iPad which controls the Windows computer zoom program, it says, This room needs to be connected to a calendar.”I don’t believe we need calendar integration.on line it said all I have to do is go into my account profile and down to calendar and click disable. But disable is not there.is there another way?Thank you,***********

We have our zoom rooms set to automatically share content when you plug the HDMI in, but when the room is in an idle state this does not work. Is there a way to set it up so idle ends when HDMI is plugged in?

For about the past week, I think since the last update 6.5.12 both my headset mic and laptop Lenova Legion S7 mics work on test your mic and even in the room make the microphone button fluctuate when speaking, but the box doesn't light up green and it doesn't put the sound out over the feed... Also they work fine in Discord Voice/Video calls.I already uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom twice.

I have created a zoom account paid subscription and bought an API room connector and associated it with a webex board.  If the zoom account I created for this, creates a meeting and I invite the webex board through our O365 resource calendar, it works perfect and has one touch. If a zoom account without a connector sends an invite, it first won't have the SIP info and the meeting will just show as a meeting.  I then have to go to the button I created for zoom and manually join.  But I get the error that the meeting host doesn't have a CRC room connector.  Now I then get a code on the screen and I can do the whole login, enter the code, etc and get it to work, but that is a PITA.  I read then that we can automate that with the API connector and use our connector and join as an attendee.  However, that is where I am stuck, how do I get that to work.  I am not finding good documentation.. Also, why does zoom make it more difficult to join a zoo

I’m noticing that my Zoom Room calendar integration prompts me to reauthorize every 30ish days. Has anyone else run into this? Is it normal to have to reconnect on a regular cadence, or could something be misconfigured?

Is there a way to record the zoom breakout rooms?

I have been using the signage to show a mp4 video exported from a power point, today i went to upload a new version of the video and it just gets stuck on transcoding, I tried deleting it and re-adding it, tried uploading other videos, but they all just get stuck transcoding with the spinning wheel. Has anyone else had this issue today? I was last able to upload a video a few days ago.

QSC Core 110f running 1080p video and audio to Zoom Room PC. Sometimes we get robotic or modulated sounding audio to the far end. Working the issue with QSC but the issue is intermittent so it is tricky. I also have been getting reports of the audio to far end completely cutting out and needing to reseat the USB to resolve the issue. I was troubleshooting today and saw the issue first hand. It was odd... I could see in the windows sound devices that audio was coming into the PC but on the neat zoom panel I could not see any audio coming in even though the correct device was shown and selected. Having a heck of a time getting these issues isolated and resolved. Any assistance would be amazing! PC is a Dell Optiplex 5080 running Win11 Ver 21H2. I have verified all USB hub device firmware is up to date.

We have a 7-member board that physically meets in a room with 20-30 seated guests. We want to Zoom the meeting so that off-site individuals can listen in. The problem is that off-site individuals cannt clearly hear the audio from audience individuals who may be speaking in the onsite location. What kind of audio equipment is needed, and how does it interface with the Zoom program? We currently have one individual in the onsite location with a laptop running the Zoom application.

Hello, We have about 7 team members who work in different offices in the building and offsite. We would like to bring them together so we can collaborate during the day. I know we can use Zoom for meetings but the problem is these team members already use Zoom heavily for company meetings with customers.  I am looking to have a secondary system put in place so we can have all of our staff in a conference throughout the day so we can collaborate and talk with one another while they are working their primary calls.  Anyone have any ideas how I can accomplish this?

Hello everyone, after an upgrade to Zoom Room 6.5.5 (7566) we are no longer able to join the meeting via the calendar integration.I have another appliance on Version 6.4.5 (6950) which works perfectly fine. Calendar permissions are identical and I could replicate this behavior with another device.Does anyone know what changed with version 6.5.5? Thanks!

Hello friends,I have a bunch of digital displays that are strategically placed in public areas on my community college campuses. Right now I'm thinking of them as being digital bulletin board/campus map/which class in which room devices.. We have Yealink boxes on each. I'd love to see some suggestions for how other folks might be using theirs like this.Probably more importantly, I would love to know the easiest way to keep them updated with fresh info, most likely by staff members who are not super technical. Specifically, is there a way to point a specific zoom room to a file in a Google drive for its content? I'm thinking the file would be a slide deck that my colleagues could open every morning and type in daily schedules/news/etc.?are there any apps on the marketplace that make this kind of thing easy? Thanks in advance. I'll try some things and post here if I come up with anything good!

Why on earth do I need to download the 32 bit version just to be instantly told i have to upgrade to 64 bit edition? Seems like an absolutely unnecessary step - so many websites can decide whether to offer 32 or 64 bit, this just feels very unprofessional.

I recently updated our Zoom Rooms and all of our USB cameras now appear mirrored in the local preview, even though they were previously shown correctly. This change applies to all four cameras in our multi-camera setup and is creating confusion for people in the room.  This is in a church service and for most of the service we display the local preview for people in the congregation.  It is disconcerting to see it mirrored. There is currently no setting in the Zoom Rooms Controller or software to disable this mirroring. Please consider adding a setting or toggle to disable mirroring of the local preview, either globally or per camera. This would restore the functionality we relied on prior to the update that broke it.

Hi,I am trying the video + content option when using my digital signage. What is the video and image ratio that is recommended so that  I can maximise the screen? Currently there is quite a lot of blank space both on top and below the screen.

Issue :- 1) There is an issue with the Zoom Room setup on the Logitech Rally Bar Huddle device. The huddle microphone is not working at all, only for joining Microsoft Teams meetings using web client in Zoom Rooms. As per our troubleshooting, we found that zoom calls are working flawlessly with this configuration; problems are seen only during web client teams & Google Meet calls. Zoom version :- Zoom room Version - 6.2.7(6005)                               Controller Version- 6.2.6(3164)Logitech Rally Bar Huddle Version- 1.13.154Logitech Tap IP version- 1.13.145please look into it and provide us solution  Thanks,VSP

Hi Zoom Community,Is it possible for additional meeting features to be added to Zoom Breakout Rooms for the host and co-host only?Consent to Enter:Require participants to “knock” or request access before entering a breakout room. Someone already in the room (e.g., a co-host) can then approve or deny entry.Just like in a physical office—you knock before walking into a room, especially if a private or sensitive conversation is happening.Consent to Move:Do not allow hosts or co-hosts to move a participant from one breakout room to another without the participant’s consent. A prompt should appear asking the participant to accept or decline the move. What do you think?Has anyone else run into situations where these features would have been useful? Thanks, Zoom Team, for all the amazing work—and Zoom Community for your insights! @ZoomMeeting

I'm presently redesigning/redeploying our firm's video conferencing solution, changing from GoToMeeting to Zoom. In our current conference rooms we use GoToMeeting Rooms with Poly Studio X50 equipment (Poly Bar X50 and TC8 tablet)We run the HDMI and USB connections from the conference room table across HDBaseT Cat6 Ethernet TX/RX devices (Atlona for instance) to enable a laptop to either use the conference room screen for simple mirroring during non-video conferencing sessions or to do 3rd-party video conference joining when an outside party hosts via another video conferencing solution (Webex, Teams, Google Chat, Zoom, etc...) by putting the GoToMeeting Room control in BYOD mode. With the GoToMeeting Rooms, the BYOD mode shares the Poly Studio X50 bar for Mic/Camera/Speaker features AND screen mirroring just fine.In our 2nd office conference room (built out with the Poly Studio X72 bar and TC10 tablet), where I'm deploying our replacement Zoom Room solution with the larger Zoom i

My client needs to purchase a Zoom plan. The Pro plan's features are sufficient for him, but he needs one feature. He wants to hide a specific meeting participant or several from others. This way, they can participate in the meeting without being seen. Is this possible? I would appreciate your help.

When sharing screen with another user, and remote control has already been accepted and approved, subsequent crash and automatic restart of the Zoom application restores screen sharing. However, upon crash and automatic restart the previously approved remote control state is not restored. This is a major issue and even a bug, especially critical when working with or assisting remote users who lack vision or dexterity and no one is around to help them re-approve subsequent Remote Control request. DEMAND: Whenever application crashes or abruptly stops, not only screen share must be restored but also remote control state if it had been previously approved. In other technical words, remote control state must also be captured and stored in history log along with screen sharing state. This occurs both on latest updated Windows as well as Mac OS systems.

Hello team, I would like to ask you that is it possible to do 1 user and using like 9 zoom room?I mean like I don't want to have 9 mail for 9 zoom room, I want just only 1 existing mail user with 9 zoom room? Thank you for your help.

We use a Neat Bar to connect remotely in our conference room. In the past, when not necessarily in a meeting, but when we're gathered, we do screenshares through the device using Apple Screen Mirroring. For example, on our macs, we click the screen mirroring option, and "Conference Room" used to show up, for years. Lately, that option has disappeared. Does anyone understand why this might happen. It is still enabled on our Zoom room settings. I've reached out to the people at Neat and they told me it's a Zoom issue. Thanks,Drew
