Best feature for interoffice collaboration

Hello,

We have about 7 team members who work in different offices in the building and offsite. We would like to bring them together so we can collaborate during the day. I know we can use Zoom for meetings but the problem is these team members already use Zoom heavily for company meetings with customers.

I am looking to have a secondary system put in place so we can have all of our staff in a conference throughout the day so we can collaborate and talk with one another while they are working their primary calls.

Anyone have any ideas how I can accomplish this?

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @tmbpoole.

I’ll chime in here with a few suggestions – hopefully you’ll a few more!

Creating a Team Chat channel is a great way to allow staff to reach out to each other, and is less intrusive than a “conference”. The Zoom Community Champions have a Team Chat channel that has daily questions and announcements. Its low-to-medium content volume makes it easy to monitor, and you can communicate easily with the group of you’re Altai on a zoom Meeting with a client and need some help from the group.

I’m not sure if you’re thinking about an open meeting that everyone can join – but if you’re on a Business plan, one person could establish a recurring meeting that anyone could join any time, by making it Join Before Host > Any Time, Passcode enabled, and Waiting Room disabled:

Match all of the yellow highlights, and whoever gets there first (any time) starts the meeting, and anyone else joins. The Continuous Meeting Chat feature is nice, because any open chats in the meeting are available to everyone.

You could take it a step further and add everyone as invitees (easy, since there’s only 7 of you), or you could include them all as Alt Host.

Important that this be a Business account (or higher) which allows 2 simultaneous meetings per user.

Thank you! We do utilize the Team Chat function. I am more less or looking for a feature that can show everyone at their workspace and everyone can hear what everyone else is saying so we can collaborate and provide support for one another. Right now we are disjointed. We all use Zoom for regular collaboration with our customers so I need a secondary system for this.

Thanks
