is it possible that i can change my area code in zoom phone

I've struggled a bit with the concept of a licensed user. We are a small business and only use zoom phone, we don't use meetings. We have incoming / outgoing phone numbers, call queues, Auto receptionist and voicemail. QUESTIONWhat would happen if I downgraded a user (a receptionist) from a licensed phone to 'basic'? Thanks Richard

Hi everyone!I am a new Zoom admin and here is my situation:We have our Zoom Phone account set up including main numberUS/CA unlimited calling plans are assigned to users with their own numbers.We are in need to add more US/CA Unlimited Calling plans but when I go to the Billing section there is no option for me to buy more plans, just a grayed-out Cancel option. How can I add/purchase more US/CA Unlimited Calling Plans?

Here is what I am trying to accomplish. Sync Zoom subscribers to the Corporate directory on the VVX 250’s and the VVX450 with the VVX EM350.I would like for the receptionist with the VVX EM350 to be able to click one of the 30 buttons to ring a phone in a classroom. Right now I have 50 Zoom subscribers with extensions and I would like them to show up on the Polycom VVX EM350.

Hello,Some of my users on android devices when on a phone call whether it's a zoom phone call or normal mobile phone call, when they receive another call from zoom phone, their call gets blasted with the ring tone. On my phone, whenever someone calls me when I'm on a call, it just beeps to notify me that someone else is calling me. Any ideas of what could be going on? I can't find anything in the zoom administration portal or user settings.

On testing the phone numbers provided for the UAE, the following error message is heard: 'the number you have dialled is not supported for this meeting.’

How do you change a custom greeting when you are just using the Mobile App?

Is there any way to toggle private subnets required for location detection? we have multiple sites that egress our datacenter via private MPLS and have the same public IP address but the private range is different. Since the private range is optional, when on VPN, using the same public range as our internal sites, it randomly detects you at these locations for your 911, also locking the end users out from specifying a custom location because their location has been detected by a published location in the E911 database in zoom.

I see in the later release, 5.9 that the zoom phone appliance that you can now switch the meeting, to and from the zoom phone appliances, but was the zoom companion featured added? Looking for the ability to join a meeting on a windows desktop and have the phone appliance join for audio only.

Does anyone know what port range is used when a zoom client calls another user answering on a zoom client? it doesnt use the 20k+ range that goes back to zoom but uses TCP ports somewhere in the 9000+ range from testing with wireshark. This communication flow is undocumented and I am trying to refine our QOS policy to apply tags on P2P voice traffic along with audio traffic that goes directly to zoom.

I recently enabled the Zoom Phone-Dynamics integration from the App Marketplace. I was able to get it configured and functioning. However, I noticed that the contact lookup feature isn't connecting to any of my contacts in Dynamics (for incoming or outgoing calls). I called from a test record and it showed as (Example) +1 555-555-5555 instead of tying it directly to the Contact. Seems like it might be a formatting issue since in Dynamics our phone numbers don't include the +1. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,We operate with a receptionist that answers all calls and then transfers. No one ever received calls directly.  Are we required to set up phone numbers for each employee, or can we just have a main line?  If optional, pro/cons of doing it either way?

I have three questions.  Is it possible to set the Polycom Vx250's so that an external incoming call is DND but the incoming internal calls still ring the phone? Is it possible to set a Polycom Vx250 that when it receives an internal call it answers automatically on speaker? Is it possible to intercom multiple Polycom vx250's at one time?I know an Avaya system can do that, I'm hoping this can as well. Thanks for any help Teresa

People dont seem to like leaving voicemail so we were hoping to set up the IVR to do something like Press 1 to leave voicemailPress 2 to request a callbackCallback would recite their phone number and give them the option to input a different one. That info would be emailed to all members same as voicemail does. If theres currently a way to do this can someone direct me on where to find that info. If not could we add it as a feature request?

User gets this notification every single day, despite clicking 'confirm' every day.  Running Windows with enhanced location setting on in Zoom, version 5.9.6, issue follows him on different machines. He tried clicking 'wrong' and amending it to a different address, before reverting to auto-detect, still gets asked to confirm daily. Any ideas? 

I’m working on our calling tree and having an issue getting one element to work as needed. When a call is placed to the main call queue, that is after business hours, the call is routed to an after-hours auto-receptionist. The AR plays a recording which gives the caller options for leaving voicemails to various departments. The last option, however, is for the caller to be able to reach an on-call (external) phone number. The On-Call AR is setup for two employees that have mobile phones that work after business hours. I’ve set up the AR for business hours to be the working hours of the first employee (supervisor 1 - Sun 7am-3pm, Mon-Wed 2pm-10pm, Sat 8am-3pm). The expectation now is that if someone selects the on-call supervisor, it will be routed to supervisor 1 during his business hours and if it’s not his hours it will be routed to supervisor 2.   The call is handed off to the on-call AR but it the call dies there with a generic message

I have an old extension, no longer active in our system, from an old employee that left the company.  Turns out people are still reaching out to this employee by selecting this extension, based on some old emails (Signature on old emails has this extension listed).  In my testing, when I call the extension, I get a message "The person you're trying to reach us unavailable.  goodbye." and then it hangs up.  I could never find any reference to the 103 extensions  in the Zoom system since we removed the old employees account.   This has become an issue because the extension is basically a hole people can end up in when they call that extension.So, as a workaround, I created a new basic user account and assigned this 103 extension to this new account.  My thinking is I could use this basic account as basically a ghost account to forward this extension to an active extension.

I need help adding an Admin to a Call Queue. 

Hello, I had set up a Zoom phone with salesforce but I am facing some issue while I am trying to connect with zoom in the salesforce it is saying users is not zoom phone users or have no calling plan. please contact your account admin but as per my knowledge, I have a zoom phone plan. any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Hi experts our office hrs are usually 8am to 5pm but is 8.30am to 3.30pm on 2 variable days per week. Our out of hrs voicemail would then ideally acknowledge the shorter day. solutions might be: AR has ‘holidays’ pre-set with the reduced office hrs …. But with two ARs this would involve 4 x fiddly data entry per day we have the reduced hrs (date and time from 8am to 8.30am, and 3.30pm to 5pm … for each AR).(entering date and time just to cover half hr in morning and 1.5 hrs in afternoon is fiddly). OR we simply come up with a voicemail greeting that is a bit vague …. Eg someone rings at 3.40pm expecting the office to be open. Any suggestions appreciated. Is it practical for a user to set voicemail greeting for overflow the day before??
