Phone

Greetings, This is my first post to the community.  I did a search for "Camp" to see if anyone else had posted this request.  I found nothing related.  Perhaps there is another term with which I am not familiar. We are a Zoom Phone user who migrated from an old PBX phone system.  We have been happily using Zoom Phone with few challenges we couldn't solve with documentation.  I would like to ask for a feature that allows a user to select an internal company contact to "camp-out" on their line.  This was the feature name on the PBX we used.  Here is the old scenario.  I pick up the phone to call Jane, but Jane is busy.  Rather than keep trying, I could press a feature key on the phone to tell the PBX to "camp-out on Jane's line and let me know when she hangs up."  When Jane hangs up, my phone would make a distinct sound to let me know Jane was free and it would offer to call Jane. Since we can see if a contact is on another

I have been able to use the keyboard to enter phone numbers for quite some time.  All of a sudden the keyboard input is not recognized and I can only input phone numbers using a mouse.  Is there a fix?

Does anyone have a good source on this or does zoom have a library to pick from?  Surprised I can't set what the caller hears while waiting to just a normal ring tone.  I don't want to play MOH or an announcement, just good old fashioned phone rings, human answers.  Thanks in advance all

Good morning all! I'm looking at scheduling specific reports (by department or site) to be sent out to different areas of our business to streamline reporting analysis - instead of Management spending minutes or hours (I'm not kidding...) trying to decipher excel to filter by their relevant staff. I'm seeking to1: Confirm the current automated scheduling options does not allow site-based or department reporting?2: If there's another way to achieve this automated reporting? For reporting through the web interface, I am required to create a new role within the "Phone" section of Roles to grant members access to this functionality. This works well for logs and I can be site-specific, allowing management to swiftly view their divisions only - great! However, for aggregated call reporting, I need to create a custom role in "All". This does not allow for site-specific or department scope under the role, meaning Management will receive a complete Group overview from multip

Hello,I am trying to find a way to forward calls to voicemails when I need to step away from my desk for a few minutes. I haven't been able to find a way to do this outside of scheduling out of office hours and lunch break times. I am looking for something thats more Ad-hoc. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi, We are using the zoom phone solution with 4 users and have the queue in sequential mode.I would like to have it setup that when user one is not available, user 2 will immediately gets the call. The problem we experience now is, the ring rotation is set to 10 sec, but often I'm not quick enough to pick up the call and so it goes to my colleague. Now I can set it to 15 sec, but we found oud that if my phone is off, the caller still needs to wait for 15 sec. So that is no option. There is an option "Skip offline devices and phone numbers when ringing" but the disadvantage is that when it is enabled, users with their phone screen locked are skipped. I have not tested it yet, but this sounds like a useless option, because most of the time a screen of a mobile phone is locked.  Why it that? And I'm missing a "make unavailable" option in the zoom mobile app. I can only logout, but that is not so handy, then I need to logon with username/password and mfa. I just like to have t

The Desktop Power User popup has started appearing for some non-licensed users and there is no 'Desktop Power User' switch under settings to turn it off.

Does Shared Line Group support concurrent calls?

Hi, When on a zoom phone call (not video, but licensed phone solution), the sound is muted during the ringing of an incoming native dialer call.  With Mitel solution, the native dialer was disabled during a zoom call. Can this feature be added? Thanks.

Hello,ZoomGov customers are experiencing an issue with Polycom phones registration to ZoomPhone.https://status.zoomgov.com/ is not updated showing the outage.

When I receive voicemails, and delete them in my desktop app, they do not get deleted in my mobile app (I have not tried this the other way).  All other features between the desktop and mobile appear to be working (i.e. chats, phone history, etc.) with this one exception.  Is there a way to sync the voicemails so that one app knows when the voicemail has been deleted through the other app? I spoke to Zoom Tech and they have told me the check our network/firewall settings.  Our IT Department has done that and everything looks fine on their end, but we are still having this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated with this.

Does Zoom Phone allow barring of outgoing call on Single or Group of user or Common Area Phone. If yes, what the procedure/step Thanks

Is anyone having trouble contacting support via the phone number?? I just tried calling. We are a healthcare business account and have the ability to talk to technical support. However, today, I'm getting a recording that says, "our records indicate your account is registered through a Zoom partner, contact them for support" then hangs up. We are contracted directly through Zoom.

Good Day, Trying to port a chunk of numbers from Zoom to Microsoft Teams. Teams requires a BTN (main billing number of the voice account). I opened a ticket with Teams support and they say they do not use BTN (everyone should have this). So what have others done to get around porting numbers away from Zoom?

What type of membership do you need to have in order to allow some participants to join by phone only?  I can't seem to get it to work on the free membership.  Do you have to upgrade to the $20 per month membership or higher?  Thanks.

Can this be done from the admin portal or dashboard?

This morning Vimeo on my iPhone has decided to stop uploading videos from the phone. Whenever I try I get the message 'Error - Something strange occured. Please try again' - I have tried several times but does the same, Any ideas how to fix?

Hi We'd like a deskphone for use in a backroom ... to hear an incoming call and take the call from the front room (where the PC is located). Zoom documentation states that common area phone limitations include Call handling rules based on business, closed, or holiday hours. If you require one of these features, consider using one of these workarounds:Add a phone user and assign the desk phone to that user. We've not yet bought the desk phone. Is it easy for users to log in and out of deskphones? Would logging out of the deskphone also log the user out of their PC zoom app login?  Complicated!!!! Thank you for any advice or suggestions. Richard

We are currently using a Cisco ISR router to translate all private IP addressing for internet bound traffic. We also have a Fortinet firewall in place as well.  The firewall rules/ports documentation Zoom support provides is not enough because we are getting one-way audio issues with our test Polycom phone. Does any one have any insight on how to make it functional?

How do I use the "Notify me when available" feature on a hard-phone like a poly v v x 250 ?

Hello, I'm a Zoom phone pro user, i have i small company of just 2 people (it's a medical office).I find totally unecessary that end users have to choose to "listen the message", "save the message" or "record another message" after already has recorded a message...Also because, once i use the system in Italian, i find very annoying the male voice used (i find it totally aggressive, not adapted to a healthcare context).  Is there any possibility of deleting this last choice for end users or at least change the message or the voice used for this? Thank you,

Hello, I have several users reporting a code 4102503 when trying to make outgoing calls. They can received incoming calls and also voicemails show up in their Inbox. The laptops are definitely connected to the internet.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am looking for document isn't it necessary to claim domain while turning on Zoom BYOC just like we it for Microsoft Teams direct routing. Looking for a good document to start with.

Hi All Is there anyway to configure how unassigned numbers are treated?  Ideally i want unassigned numbers for a particular site to route the the auto-receptionist of that site, however this does not seem to be possible.  Alternatively i cant find any settings or articles on how to add like a audio prompt or anything that will change the current behaviour of the call just dropping in the event a user calls a unassigned number.  Thoughts anyone?? Many ThanksJason
