In my most recent Zoom meeting (which i hosted), the participants were not able to send direct messages to each other - only messages to the whole group were allowed. There was a message saying something about "because you have a large number of participants of this meeting, direct messaging is disabled" or something to that effect. There were less than 20 people in the meeting, but around 70 invited. This has never happened before even though this is a recurring meeting with the same number of invitees each time.  At the beginning of next month we will be hosting a conference with 200+ people in a meeting, and we would like to keep it as a meeting, and not a webinar, precisely because we want participants to be able to interact with each other. Is there a setting which will prevent Zoom from disabling the direct messaging feature for large meetings? Thanks!

I have several meetings that use zoom to connect. This would not be a problem except that Zoom refuses to initialize my camera. No matter what I do, the camera stays off. In settings it accesses it fine but not in zoom, one post I read said to change the camera settings in Zoom to foundation, I have done this and still no results. Should I just break down and get a better web cam or is there a way to fix this one? TIAJo

Initially, when I attempted to open the Workplace app on my Windows PC, I found that I was signed out of my Zoom account.  Repeated attempts to sign back in only yielded the message: 'Please try again later.'  Error Code: -1.  The Zoom Workplace app on my PC has been installed and functioning properly since 2020.  This is the first time it has ever given me any issues.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Zoom app multiple times.  I have cleared my Windows Explorer cache multiple times as wellI have even gone so far as to reinstall Windows (Windows 11 Pro, version 24H2, OS build 26100.4351).  Using a browser, I can sign into my Zoom account on both my Windows PC and my Mac.  Additionally,  on my Mac, I can also sign in to the Zoom Workplace app.   An article online suggested linking my Windows 365 with Zoom.  I have tried this, but my 365 account is a Personal account, and the

I've upgraded my account from Pro to Workplace today as I need to host multiple meetings at the same time (lasting 60-90 minutes). It looks like I can only host a second meeting for 40 minutes, is this correct? thank so much for any info!

I have a dedicated laptop to host Zoom meetings from that has a wired connection to gigabit speed internet.  When I check the internet speed, it is consistent with what one would expect from gigabit speed internet (~900mbps up/down). Unfortunately, Zoom does not seem to care.  The bandwidth I am getting in the statistics page is ranges from 200-1500kbps (send) and a pretty solid 3000mbps (receive).  Zoom recommends a 3.8/3.0Mbps (up/down) for full HD video.   Anyone know why my bandwidth would be throttled on Zoom while able to utilize gigabit speed internet on the same device?

Hello, I saw that Zoom changed its name from "Zoom Video Communications, Inc." to "Zoom Communications, Inc." around November ( https://www.zoom.com/en/blog/introducing-zoom-communications-inc/ ).  On Windows, when downloading the Zoom installer (as well as checking the files from an already installed/updated Zoom workspace program), the digital signature currently says "Zoom Video Communications, Inc.", even when downloading the latest "ZoomInstallerFull.exe" (64-bit) from the Zoom download center. Will that remain the name on the signature, or will it change to "Zoom Communications, Inc."? This can have an impact on things that check the signature, such as Windows Applocker/WDAC policies.

On my windows laptop with the latest version of zoom, I get notifications when someone is in the waitroom so I can do other things while I wait. On my macbook(also with the latest version of zoom), I don't get those same notifications. Can someone please tell me why?

A while ago I posted here about what seems to be a dependency of Zoom install (Windows) on MS Edge.A few users assured me that there is no such dependency. The exchange has mysteriously disappeared, Then I found the following record in the app that controls MS Firewall: C:\users\name\appdata\local\zoom\plugin\webview2_x64\133.0.3065.82\msedgewebview2.exe OTOH, it appears that the MS firewall disallowed the connection.OTO there seems to be a call to msedgewebview2.exe in  a PLUGIN folder which is empty. I run an older version of Win10 that I intentionally keep away from MS updates and I do not have and do not want MS Edge. Zoom should not call an Edge plugin, but the plugin for the default browser. Can anybody clarify what is going on here?

We are very regular users of Language interpretation on Zoom.  In a meeting today, on one interpretation channel (out of 4) we were systematically getting the original audio and the interpreter's voice mixed at about 50% volume each - which is clearly unusable.  Selecting  "mute original audio". on that channel did not change anything.  The situation was the same with all interpreters using that channel. When they switched to another channel, the problem went away - and we confirmed hearing their voice only on that other channel after selecting "mute original audio".  It sounded like a regular audio mix and was not due to sound leakage from the interpreters' system - we checked. If sound leakage had been the root cause we should have heard it on both channels.  All interpreters were using the last Zoom client update on Win or MacOs.  We

Hi,  If there is a yellow border around a speaker, say you have joined late (unmuted) to the meeting and they are already speaking, would they be able to hear you? Or does it cancel out your voice? Can more than one person have this active speaker (yellow border) at one time? - So allow for multiple people to be speaking at once?  Thanks, Kim 

Hi, I need to present via zoom, when I'm doing so, the presentation mode goes full screen and I cannot see my notes (I either have to use my phone and it's too small, or print them our, but it's long). Is there a way I can split screens and one part will be a shared presentation, and another my notes? When I just do the split screen (on MacBook pro), it works, but as soon as I start presenting via zoom, it goes full screen back. thanks in advance!

both my devices are kicked out on zoom. laptop hp 350 processor windows 7, keeps saying low bandwidth then leaves zoom. phone redmi 9A GETs kicked out of join rooms and at some point I am unable to see the video.

I am trying to set up 'use dual monitor.' My ultimate goal is to keep participant window open when i share a screen on my side monitor. I've found the instructions: settings -- > general --> 'use dual monitors'              I see nowhere to select 'use dual monitors.'   Advice please, J

I shared my screen to everyone in zoom and that  black box covered the content. I know it's the Zoom features like participant images, pens, etc. covering my screen. I don't know how to fix it, I use a Lenovo with Intel UHD Graphics. I don't know if it's related to the computer model, it doesn't appear this problem on my HP laptop. I just bought this Lenovo, Windows 11. Please tell me if the problem is my computer or zoom. And please tell me how to fix it.

I am moving over to a new computer and in doing so downloaded the outlook plug in for Microsoft 365 to use the scheduling function.  When I schedule a meeting, the appointment form pulls up to enter e-mail, time and date, etc.  The FROM: email automatically populates and it is not my e-mail.  It's my husbands and I do not use his email at all in my mail program.  I cannot figure out how to change it or where the settings are that this is pulling from.  Any guidance is appreciated.

Hello. I have been recording to cloud zoom of my team meetings or my own meeting for a training video. Unfortunately, when I download the video, it shows up in a very low quality, often 640x350 resolution or lower and it nearly looks pixilated.  How can I fix this? Always i had recorded in 720P but from 1 month to today is it impossible to record in 720P I i record in my computerthe resolution is 720P but in cloud not.

When start a meeting with recording to cloud, during the meeting, I parse the recording, and continue later. After the meeting, when I call the API of Zoom the duration is 40 mins, from recording start time to end time, but when I open the recording video, it show 14 mins, only include the recording time. Which API can return the real recording time of 14 mins?
