Every time I start new zoom meetings, the recording device is automatically turned on.How do I turn OFF automatic recording?I want to turn it on manually, on sessions that require a recording.I have turned OFF Automated Recording on my Zoom account. (Even did a reset)... but each new meeting still automatically turns the recording ON.Thanks very much.

Good afternoon, we noted a new column popped up in our regular Zoom reporting titled "Total Participant Minutes" and just checking to see if there was a formal definition available or information on how this total is derived? We assume its the combined total number of minutes for each participant (i.e., Participant A joined for ten minutes while participant B was late and joined for 5 minutes.  The Total Participant Minutes displayed would be 15). If anyone is familiar with this data element and can confirm that would be great.  Thanks!

Since last update I am unable to just enter my Zoom room through home page - need to use URL link.  I don't formally schedule meetings,  just enter my room and meet there with others who have my link. - it seems to start a  'new meeting' which is separate and then others cannot enter - they get message that 'another meeting is in progress'. Please advise.  Thanks. 

I received advice that a friend wanted to schedule a Zoom meeting with me [on my Apple desk top computer] I  said ok and they sent me a meeting ID and timing details    I accepted these and waited but was not invited to join the meeting   It could be that my old Apple device was not up to it.I would like for someone to invite me to a hypothetical meeting so that I can go through the process again  Trying to check what went wrong.  Would have liked Zoom support to do this but it is impossible to get this request answered

Hi At random times during my Zoom calls, others users see a series of "stars" streaming on my video as if I were celebrating something. I'm using latest version of desktop app on a Mac mini. Anyone any ideas ?

I would like to confirm whether the participants had “Start Video” enabled. I selected the meeting from the dashboard and exported the details of past meetings. The exported file seems to have 107 items for each user’s status, but which item should I check to know if the participants had “Start Video” enabled? I apologize for my poor English.

I am encountering an issue with screen sharing in Zoom when using a third-party application with a custom cursor. Whenever the host shares their screen, the custom cursor from the third-party application is always displayed on the participant's side. Online meeting for the video production.

As the topic says: Allow an option for setup, configuration, and testing before going "live". I never know if zoon is/can/will work when trying to do a zoom meeting with my doctor or attorney and court hearings.

Windows version 6.1.1   macOS Sonoma 14.4.1   Currently, when the PC Windows client version 6.1.1  takes over a screen sharing session, the macOS Zoom Workplace  6.0.11 is not able to see the shared screen whilst other Windows client were able to see the new share.   This used to work when the PC Zoom version was 5.8.

I scheduled and held a Zoom meeting last month. I want to resend the Zoom link to create a recurring meeting but it is not listed in the "previous" meetings list. I have the link in an email but don't know how to put it on the schedule, that is, how to edit it. Thanks for any help.

I have video, but no audio.  Recording to cloud of a Zoom Church service.  Participants all had audio throughout the meeting.  Same technique I've been using for 2 years, except you forced an update this morning to "Zoom Workspace".  Ideas??  Obviously since I have no backup recording that meeting is lost, but next week same time same place I need video WITH AUDIO.

I have saved a meeting to a cloud recording.  But once processed, there is no audio.  I was the host, checked my audio prior to the meeting.  Everything worked fine.  Participants could hear me.  My local volume was on high.   Why doesn't the recording have audio?  Is there something that I have to set?  

i'm using a chromebook - i login to a meeting - audio and video works fine.  i join a breakout room - i cannot hear any participants  i hear enter and exit audio sounds, no conversation this is only happening on my tablet, not my PC.    any suggestions? i've tried all the troubleshooting i can think of. it doesn't work on any of my 4 routers for wifi. 

Can anyone tell me how to get in contact with an actual person at Zoom for technical support? I joined a Zoom meeting today & needed to record it & can't find it recorded anywhere. I can't call in because I'm not the host & I need to see if the meeting can be captured by Zoom somehow now that it's over or find the recording somehow because I'm not finding a recording.

I am a user but have basic plan. I joined a meeting yesterday & when I hit record it automatically said it was recording to cloud. I don't have cloud recording storage because I have basic plan. The meeting I joined did not record anywhere & so I have lost the meeting. It seems every time I try to record when I join a meeting there is a problem & it doesn't record. It feels like zoom is trying to get everyone to upgrade to avoid these problems. I can;t contact anyone at zoom because I have basic plan. This is so frustrating

I have enabled original sound on my desktop client for my podcast recordings. However, does that force original sound for my guest as well? I can't find the answer in any of the FAQs or the Community. The thing I've found is that most guests haven't got a clue about audio settings and if I send them instructions on enabling Original Sound it's just going to confuse them even more. They barely read my clear instructions to use Wired Headphones, so the Original Sound instructions will probably be ignored too. 

i want to turn off all cameras except mine(host) and the lecturer (cohost), so i went to host tools, turned off the 'start video' option but it didn't help. participants could still  turn on theire cameras!! what can i do?

Currently, when making the Zoom screen smaller, the 'host tools' button often drops off the screen under the 'more' button. This is obviously super annoying as the host needs the host tools to have tools to host. So, can the 'host tools' button please be moved to the left of the screen? My suggestion is (I've disabled all AI buttons): Audio  |  Video |  Host tools  |  Chat  |  React  |  Raised hand  |  Share  Screen |  Participants  |  Record  |  Captions The buttons Participants, Record, Captions are used in almost all meetings, but often only once (when setting up). Of course, it would even be better if the host can decide themselves which buttons are visible and how / in what sequence they are visible. Ideally for everyone. 

Zoom meeting is not ending after ending the meeting and it is getting stuck at the preparing meeting when I try to start new meeting 

Hi all When I save my meeting transcript, the statements the attendees made are transcribed but they are not matched to the attendees as I can see during the meeting. They are simply date and time stamped. Does anyone know the functionality that enables the transcript file to identify the attendees against their words and what they are saying?  Thanks

I know the ability to livestream to FB Groups is gone, but it seems it can be done to Pages or a Personal Profile. When I'm in a Zoom meeting and get to "Live stream Zoom Meeting to Facebook Live" it gives me the option to "Choose where to post your Zoom Meeting" - I select "share to your page." Then under "select page" I should see two Pages that I have, but only one is listed. (Of course it's the other one I need to stream to!)  Any ideas??? 

I have a Windows 11 laptop. When I join a meeting via web browser, everything works fine. I hear the sound through the speakers and when I plug in wired headphones to the headphone jack, the sound comes through the headphones. When I use the zoom app. the sound won't come through the headphones. It comes through the speakers fine, but when I plug the headphones in, the sound still comes through the speakers. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled zoom.

Wondering if anyone can help. When I start or join a meeting, I have no camera option available.  Does anyone know how to resolve that?  I access Zoom via Citrix.

I have a Pro account and set up our Meetings as relatively open. People join when they wish. I would also like anyone to be able to share their screen. When I try to regain screen I get an error saying that I do not have permission to share my screen. Very frustrating and getting direct assistance is of course impossible.Two questions then: Does anyone have suggestions for what I'm doing wrong? Secondly is there a multi-platform product that is more transparent than zoom out there?ThanksCW
