Meetings

I frequently participate in court appearances via zoom in multiple court rooms.  Unfortunately, when both judges take the bench, I have not determined how to mute one courtroom while I speak to the judge in the other.  My only solution is to type a message to the host that I am leaving and will return after the other hearing is completed.  Is there a simpler way to just mute the host in one court room while I speak in the other?  

I've a situation where in a zoom call my mic picks up voice audio but the moment I play any music the other participants can't hear it. I can speak during that call and my voice is audible to the other participants but not the music I'm playing in the background. I usually play the music on my phone and keep it next to the laptop mic rather than share the audio in a conventional way using 'share' option.Have tinkered with all the settings in Zoom audio video and also my HP laptop sound settings but to no avail.Can anyone help me solve this mystery... thanks 

Hi there! I teach a lot of fitness classes on Zoom, and am looking for a better headset that will allow my clients to hear me for cueing and still hear the music. Any recommendations? THANKS in advance!!

I am using my office laptop, i dont see the remote control option from web when i am joining the meeting. I cannot install the zoom app in my laptop because it is restricted.

Hi  A thumbs up emoji has appeared on my screen twice under Zoom meetings without any of the participants touching their keyboards. Does anyone know if this means we have been hacked? Thanks.

Hi, I run fitness classes through zoom and just this week no one has been able to hear my background music during the sessions. I DONT WANT to supress background noise. Is there a way to do that? I have been using zoom for 2 years and only this week I have encountered problems. I downloaded the latest update this week which I thought was the problem but when I downloaded the previous version which I knew used to work - it doesnt work now.  Please  help technical support. 

For 3 years I have been teaching fitness classes and doing one-on-one fitness sessions with clients...I always have music playing...today, my clients could only hear me and no music...I also have also played videos for class they cannot hear them either ...did something change. Thank you Terrie

I teach an online fitness class. Have successfully mixed my external microphone and shared computer sound for 3 years. Had to buy a new PC this month, Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 11. Got an interface box Focusrite 2i2 to connect my microphone to my PC, as my old set up with a mixer and line-in through the head phone jack would not work with the new computer. All runs great until about 10 minutes of the class then the microphone turns off and I get a message on Zoom that says, "microphone not detected, please reconnect."  I open audio settings, click off of the Microphone setting, then click back to it and the mike works again. Then it all happens again in another ten minutes. And on and on.I've searched the interwebs high and low for some answer to this. So far nothing has worked. Thanks for any help!

Hey guys and girlsweve been having some nightmare issues with our fitness class streams.. At random times throughout the class the music would go from perfect digital quality to suddenly sound like it’s muffled and underwater distorted. We have all of the audio setting set perfectly for optimum sound as well so we know it’s not a settings issue and must be hardware (we think!). So we’ve tried to go through a process of elimination to work out what the problem is.. So we’ve switched the camera to something a lot simpler (we were using a go pro and running it through a piece of hardware called a  black magic to covert the video file) and it has seemingly helped the distortion issue greatly but it still goes horrible at about the 40 minute mark of every class (which is a lot better than what it was with the other camera). So it makes me think that it may be a file size issue? Is there a limit with the size of the file you can push through zoom? Ie does the

With the new Zoom client settings for original sound for musicians feature, there are 3 off/on toggles:  1.) high-fidelity, 2.) echo cancellation and 3.) stereo audio.  Any suggestions for optimal experience for a group fitness experience?

Hi there - I just signed up with ARKETA  and recording my life classes to store on my on line portal on demand classes -  OMG IT LOOKS AWFUL! Like underwater - Only computer sound - still underwater - and I dont want my client in the video - just my screen - help!

HI there, I've been teaching online fitness over ZOOM since March 2020.  In 2023 crackling began in my classes (which I can hear and become aware of when I listen to the recording).  I set myself up with mixer/wireless headset in 2021 and had zero sound issues for two years.  All the settings were made as per an expert and were flawless.  Now, like forexample tonight, the 5:15 pm class is perfection, no crackling.  The 6:00 pm yoga class begins crackling at minute 14 and continues for the rest of the 45 minute class. I have had my audio drivers reinstalled twice  -i use realtek audioI have used different web browsers as recommended (Chrome, etc.)I have bought new wireless headset and new mixer I have changed volume levels. I have read several community discussions about changing settings and have tried pretty much everything.  It's so random. Does anyone have help?&n

Hello, I just wanted to give a solution that worked for me after I had zero luck hearing back from Zoom and none of the previous solutions in the community worked.  I have been teaching yoga on zoom for 3 years and never had a problem until my last few sessions where my clients were hearing my music cutting out (I play it live from a Bose speaker in the room) while I'm talking or even cutting out when only the music is playing.  I am on a Mac with Monterey 12.6.2 - but it had nothing to do with the laptop, it is in the Zoom setting and I want to share my solution in case anyone else has this issue....   GO TO  ZOOM  / PREFERENCES / AUDIO / AUDIO PROFILE/ click on Zoom optimized audio   BUT MOST IMPORTANT...  Background Noise Suppression - CHECK THE  MEDIUM BOX - and WALA!!! You can test the speaker and this worked perfectly for me, I do NOT have Original sound checked.  Hope this works for you if you experience the same problem.

I have been using Zoom  with a windows 10 computer and have had very little audio issues.  I purchased a  Hp windows 11 computer and after changing some communications settings got it working with zoom and good audio back in May.  I tried again this week and I am right back to square one with bad audio.  I am able to hear the Voices on songs although not clear, but no instrumentation.  i have original sound for musicians on and the exact same setting I had In May, and yet nothing seems to be clearing up the sound.  It is similar to when the communications settings in Windows 11 was blocking the back round noise at 80% but I have that set to None and still getting poor audio.  So frustrated.  I tried going back to an older version of Zoom ( that I had in May) no help, I have set it up exactly how I had it in May when it worked and nothing, there has got to be a setting somewhere that is not allowing backround noise, but I can not find it.

I am teaching yoga/fitness classes hybrid and we used to be able to share the music and microphone over to Zoom meeting with a balanced volume where participants could hear really well. Now, something has changed and they are not able to hear the music well. It is very choppy. Is this a new Zoom update that has caused this? Can you please tell me the best way to do this? We have a Soundcraft Notepad 5 mixer and Rode Wireless GO ll Microphone and plug that into the computer for classes. Any other suggestions would be great. Again, the goal is for the student to hear the music and our voice at the same time clearly. Maybe it's a setting, I'm not sure but it used to work and now it does not.

Hello!  I want to purchase a MIXER in order to share music from my IPHONE 12 and also connect a MIC in order to teach GROUP FITNESS classes via ZOOM MEETINGS.  My laptop is running Windows 10.  Can you please recommend a few different products for this use? 

Hello,I teach a fitness class and have been using I tunes through my laptop. The music quality is ok but it’s hard to control the music through the laptop as I’m teaching. If I want to change a song I have to go back to the pc and scroll and share again,Is there anyway I can use and external speaker that doesn’t have a delay? I think I’m the only one using ITunes anymore lol.Thanks 😊

I teach fitness classes and share my music in the background. I have followed all of the recommendations of changing to “original sound for musicians” and it still doesn’t work! Help! I pay for this service and this is not okay! 

I installed ZOOM Workplace yesterday after the old version of ZOOM I had wouldn't load. In that version I was able to use the Share Screen option, choose Advanced, and then Share Computer Audio. I teach a weekly fitness class and need to share my audio with the participants. I am using the Desktop Client version. I've chatted with a support 'bot', and read through all of the articles suggested. I also went to YouTube to see whether I could find a solution. Everything pointed to using the Share Screen option, but I also looked at sharing computer audio without sharing the screen, but there didn't seem to be a good solution there. With the new version, I don't seem to have that option as there is no Share Screen icon on the meeting toolbar. Is there another way to do this on Workplace? If not, is there another version of ZOOM I should install. Thanks in advance for your help.

My Zoom microphone has been acting up for the past two days. The day before yesterday, it didn’t work at all, then it suddenly started working yesterday, but today it's not working again. Even when I try joining the Zoom call by phone, the microphone still doesn’t work. I also tried changing to different microphone but still same problem exist.

Hi,I have been teaching via zoom since Covid.Happily doing so with no issues.I share Computer Audio, pin myself to screen, with thumbnails of all attendees around the top or side of screen.Since the recent update on zoom, when I share computer audio, this now takes up a large % of screen, and I can't make myself centre of screen with thumbnails around. Sharing Computer Audio used to appear in a small box at the top of the screen, and cannot understand for the life of me why this was changed.  See screenshot for how it appears now.Am I missing something? Is there any way of getting rid of the big box on left telling me I am sharing computer audio?

Im pretty sure I have everything set up correctly.  I have checked the box.. "allow participants to join at any time"But for some reason, when they use our meeting ID # they are getting the green bar at top of their screen saying" the hose has another meeting in progress."  This is a new acct.  We have used zoom daily in the past with no issues.  Our clients have been able to always join our sessions.  We recently had to create new acct.. so Im thinking Ive missed something.. Appreciate any help.  

Hey all,Wondering if anyone can help me with this.It had been a while since I had used Zoom for remote workouts.  Today I set everything up as I used to, meaning that I used my mobile phone (Android, Pixel 8 Pro) to access the remote session.  I could however not find an option to cast the video to my TV, using a Chromecast device.  This is something that I had always done in the past though.So, I started to wonder if I should have just opened the meeting link within my Chrome browser on Android, but somehow I seem to be forced to download the app... which in turn doesn't allow me to cast the workout session.Am I missing something?  Any help would be much appreciated.Cheers

I’ve been using Zoom for years to host virtual interactive shows and this is the first time I’ve run into a big issue. The new share computer audio function is pushing my clients out of gallery view. When I share computer audio, there’s a screen that pops up moves my audience to one side like side by side gallery view, just like I’m screen sharing. But I'm not sharing screen, just audio. It automatically does this everytime I share computer audio. I want to disable it. I'm running on macOS 12 with a 2016 Macbook Pro and have fully updated to Zoom Worstplace... Oh sorry. Typo. Zoom Workplace. 

I lead online strength workouts. Next month I am having surgery so an athlete will demonstrate the exercises on Zoom while I still coach. These workouts are recorded. I can Spotlight the athlete while providing supporting audio when the workout is live, but the recording only shows me, the speaker. How can I make the recording continue to show the spotlighted athlete, while hearing my audio?
