This application DOES NOT close when pressing the X icon in the upper right. You can't exit from the taskbar using the right click menu to close window. Even alt-f4 can't close it. Instead this application is set to automatically disappear into the user's "notification area" so it LOOKS like it's closed, but it stays active in the background. The "notification area" is the hidden icon tray. Windows users can find this in the lower right hand side of their screen by clicking the ^ icon near the clock.You have to either sign out from the user menu and then exit OR right click the icon in the "notification area" or hidden icon tray to exit. This program is predatory to people who don't know their program does not close when the X icon is pressed. It should NEVER automatically hide itself and still run in the background. The process to close the program is unintuitive, not user-friendly, and purposely obfuscates how to close the program. Cambié de otro servicio para cambiarme por ZOOM antes de la pandemia, porque tenía más funcionalidades.  Sin embargo, desde hace un año regresé al viejo servicio😔 porque el audio no me funciona para mis clases de música, se cancela el sonido, los agudos para las clases de flauta, no se escuchan. Me encantaría regresar a ZOOM si ese problema se solucionara, es lo único por lo que estoy con otro servicio.  Actualmente, estoy en la conferencia de Álvaro Luque y no tengo sonido, he seguido todos los tutoriales, me salí y volví a entrar y sigo sin audio.😠  

Hello everyone, does anyone here has the same problem with me? I can't turn on HD Camera on setting, the option is grayed out. I need this feature so bad as my MacBook camera looks very bad on 360p resolution. I tried with webcam 720p & 1080p the option for HD is still not available. Please somebody help me

A few days ago, I found the feature that allowed me to write a message, that the user sees and has to click to acknowledge, right before being to a meeting. (I'm the Admin.) Today, I want to edit that message, however I haven't been able to find the place where I created it, to edit it. I've click around for hours. Please help with detailed instructions.

I paid for my Zoom Standard Pro account in the US. Can I log in and create meetings while in Canada?

Our environment is Lenovo laptops running Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2. Connected to a docking station with 2 monitors and external Lenovo webcam.  Ever since the release of version 6.4.0, ever time we start the video using the external camera, the laptop crashes or freezes. It doesn't happen when using the built-in camera. We ruled out that it's not the dock station since we have different models of docks and we've also plugged the external camera directly to the laptop. It has happened to over 50 users in our company. The other workaround is perform the following in Zoom. It's a workaround, not a fix. When we host a large gathering, we have a separate speaker and microphone. Windows picks up both via Bluetooth, zoom only shows the speaker in the audio controls. On to when we're hosting, it's a large gathering and we have it on zoom for those that cannot be there. We also record the meeting. The people on zoom say they can hear the people controlling the laptop as well as the person on the external mic. How do we silence the laptop users? (they need to speak at times). We tried switching off the audio in windows 11 settings but it switched all the mics off.  Went to Best Buy and they told me it was a zoom problem! 

I can't sign in with the zoom app it just redirects me to the browser to sign in which I do and the app still isn't signed in. I can't join zoom meetings either with error 5003. I have uninstalled and reinstalled zoom to no avail. My firewall is disabled and it still happens. I have to join from the browser which works but is a pain to use. 

I'm having issues with Zoom when I'm recording, the sound and audio switch from my rodecaster pro to my MacBook throughout my recording, especially if there is a small break in sound. It goes back and forth between the rodecaster and the MacBook when it comes to the mic and speaker. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? Brian

Hello, I've been working as a legal videographer recording depositions remotely over zoom. For purposes of the deposition video, I have the witness pinned for the duration of the meeting. According to other people that I work with, on their systems (generally Windows) when one of the lawyers initiates a screen share, they adjust slider to make the witness take up about 1/3rd of the screen. Their recorded videos generally reflect what was on screen during the meeting. I am using a MacBook Pro and a Mac mini - both systems when the screen sharing starts I drag the slider to about midway through the screen. When I view the recorded file, the witness starts out as a VERY small thumbnail and no matter how far I drag the slider their video in the recording takes up about 1/5th of the screen. I would really like to figure out a way to make the final video look like my screen during the meeting without having to use 3rd party software

Recently in the share screen settings, the "share powerpoint as virtual background" option is greyed out and has a yellow triangle on the corner of it. I have checked if the virtual background is enabled, (it is). have updated the app on my mac, and have tried to restart, uninstall and reinstall. but to no avail!. Can anyone offer a suggestion???

How can I see what Zoom versions I have had installed, that is, my version history?  Why?  Because I was involuntarily recently "upgraded" to 5.6.6.880 which when running caused my Windows 10 computer not to work well--a bad version for me.  I want to go back to a version when Zoom was working adequately, if that is even going to be possible--anyone?  If it is not possible to go back to a working version, then this question is moot.  Rather I will simply have to keep installing newer versions until one hopefully works well (well enough).  Please advise.

Hi there,I notice that the quality of my video records is always bad (not sharp), while when I am in a zoommeeting that is recording, the video is very sharp and totally okay. How can I fix that?  Best regards, from the Netherlands 🙂  Tessa

For a long time now, we've used a string of parameters for the MSI installer to do a couple of things like auto-update, disable consumer rubbish etc Due to Auto-Update being required, we also had to switch on "Silently start Zoom on Startup".  This was working great for ages, it would open in the system tray and not bug users.  It seems since we go this AI addition to Zoom, the "silent" part no longer works and is opening the Zoom window on startup for all users. FIX THIS!!!!

If you just connect the earphones, it will only make a sound on the app. I just can't hear anything else on YouTube or screaming.I refuse to test the speaker

During meetings, I regularly get two pop-ups and I see no way to get it to stop. I am on a Mac running the latest OS and client updates.The first pop-up happens periodically throughout meetings, even appearing on shared screens.”Turn On Reactions: Zoom.us has turned off Reaction effects….”Yet, o have reactions enabled, including gestures. All I can do is close the pop-up…which reappears shortly thereafter.The second one nags me whenever I am sharing my screen. It also pops up on the share sometimes, other times on my non-shared screen.”’zoom.us’ is Accessing your screen”When I tap that one, it opens a Mac OS system settings screen where Zoom is already selected as being allowed. Again…can’t get rid of it more than a coupla minutes and everything appears to be enabled.Any ideas how to get these to stop?!

Cannot get Zoom audio from laptop to TV through wired HDMI connection. Zoom audio is audible in laptop speakers only. Other laptop audio (YouTube, etc.,) works fine through the TV.

Please can someone help me? I am trying to add virtual backgrounds to zoom yet it is saying that the admin has not allowed this... I am the admin and the owner of my zoom account. I need to be able to use specific backgrounds for my call tomorrow but I cannot add any new ones.  I can't find an email for Zoom or someone to talk to to help me.

I am new to ProZoom and need to upload a ppt and record. Is this possible and can someone tell me where to go to upload pls?

Hey everyone,Sometimes I got a black screen on my laptop during share screen but it only started two weeks ago, I also downloaded the new zoom version 5.9.3 back then and today I downloaded the newer version 5.9.6 3799.While the screen is black I can close the share screen option after pressing the Windows button and then clicking fast on stop sharing but I still got some weird jittering images on the screen and then only restart of the computer helps.I am using a new computer of ASUS - Windows 10 with Intel iris Xe Graphic card and Intel i7 CPU./Thanks for your help🙏

Hello there, Is Zoom down today? Do you know when it will be up and running again?

Hi!I host a weekly travel related events through Meetup.com where all the attendees connect via Zoom.  It's worked very smoothly for years.  But last night something very strange happened.  As attendees tried to connect either via the link on the Meetup event page or with the link I sent out a few hours earlier, they were told that the "Event had passed".  Some were able to connect using different divices, but it was very strange.  I double checked the times and time zones on both Zoom and Meet-up and everything was correct.  Was there some kind of glitch?  

We have a business account, it covers 10 accounts for our institution. It has recently expired and we are still in the process of renewing with the authorized vendor since we have to go through the procurement process since our institution is a state university in the Philippines. My question is, if we unbind one of the account from the admin account, and upgrade it to single user Pro temporarily, will we have access to the cloud recordings? as we badly need to have access to some of the recordings.

I want minimum security & always use my Personal Meeting Room.  How do I avoid having participants being sent to a Waiting Room?
