After spending hours trying to contact tech support I am trying here.

ZoomInstallerVDI.msi is causing machines to reboot during installation despite being called wit hthe '/quiet /qn /norestart' switches.

"The process msiexec.exe has initiated the restart of computer WSAMZN-76FDEC on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found Reason Code: 0x80030002 Shutdown Type: restart Comment: The Windows Installer initiated a system restart to complete or continue the configuration of 'Zoom VDI Workplace (64-bit)'."

Hi jsmith4,

Thanks for your post.

ZoomInstallerVDI.msi is Zoom product using for Virtual Desktop (VM) environment.

May I know which type of VM are you using? (Like Citrix, VMware, Window remote desktop, AWS or HP Anyware?)

May I know what is your ZoomInstallerVDI.msi version?

Thanks,

Roger

Thanks for your information. For AWS, it is a known issue we already found. We applied the fix in 6.3.10, which will be released in March.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Roger

That sounds frustrating installers triggering reboots can disrupt entire workflows. It’s why stability matters so much, especially for systems supporting essential services. Programs like 8171 Ehsaas Program 25000 BISP rely heavily on digital tools
