enabling dual monitor mode

The only instructions I see to enable dual monitor mode is to go to my profile, click on settings/general.  Then check to box to enable dual monitor mode.  For the life of me, I can not find that option to check.

 

I have Zoom meetings with an office colleague and we share screens all the time.  When she shares her screen, out videos are shown at the top of the screen she is sharing - instead of on my second monitor.  I want to see our videos on one monitor and the shared screen on the other.

Hello,

 

To enable the dual monitors feature for your own use:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop Client.
  2. In the top-right corner of the Zoom Client, click your profile picture then click Settings.
  3. Click the General tab.
  4. Select the Use dual monitors check box.

When I log in and click on my profile - there's no option for settings.  When I go to setting on the left side menu, then general - there's no option to select for "Use dual monitors".  I have seen these instructions multiple times and don't understand why my application doesn't have those options.

I have a Zoom Pro subscription.  Downloaded Zoom to my laptop - so I assume I have Zoom desktop client.

I have the EXACT same problem:  my dual monitor system has been set up for years, and worked perfectly until today!  It WAS there last Saturday, and this morning, it had disappeared!  I have spent over an hour following ALL instructions, and NOTHING-SO FRUSTRATED.  There seems to be NO SUPPORT here!!!

While your instructions are good for two ways to access use dual monitors mine is still not present to use........why?

Zoom's documentation is out of date.

 

As at Zoom Workplace 5.6 (and probably earlier), the dual monitor option has moved.

 

In settings, go to

  • Meetings & webinars
  • In-meeting and in-webinar experience
  • Display

Select Dual window
