I wanted to share some feedback regarding the recent change to the chat interface. We’re genuinely concerned about the removal of the feature that allowed us to easily monitor and access individual chats. In meetings with several hundred participants, this tool was incredibly helpful in identifying who messaged us and responding promptly.Without it, we’re now forced to scroll through thousands of messages, making it difficult and time-consuming to locate specific chats. This change has significantly impacted our ability to manage communication efficiently during large sessions.We’re hoping you’ll consider restoring this feature—or offering an alternative solution—so we can continue to facilitate smooth and responsive interactions. I know there are a lot of questions about chat history, so apologies for adding yet another! However, I haven't found a scenario equivalent to mine, so I'm hoping someone can help. Around an hour ago I ended a meeting but then realised I'd forgotten to manually save the meeting chat. Not to worry, I thought, I've set the chat to save automatically: "Viewers can see the chat" was switched on in Account Settings. However, when I try to access the chat history (Account Management > Reports > User activity reports), I find no chat history. What am I missing? 1. Can I retrieve the chat from this morning's meeting?2. If not, what else needs to be set for chats to save automatically? My Zoom app was on v6.4.12 during the meeting, although it's just flagged it wants to update to v 6.5.9. Many thanks&nb

The Block Contact option seems highly inappropriate in a corporate environment.  I would like to disable it across the entire account. Senior Executives have requested a report of how many (& who) have used the Block Contact option, is there a way to generate this type of report?

I added the Zoom doc tab to one of my customer's chats.However, after deleting the Zoom doc, I can’t remove the tab or make any changes to it.I’d like to delete the tab from the chat. Is there any solution?

Does Zoom offer Chat Statistics ?  I am inquiring  if there is a way to concisely view the following chat metrics:High Priority-how many messages were sent, and by whom-how many times a person was @ in the chat/channel-how many times a mention group was @ in chat/channelLow Priority: -who interacted with messages (sorted into emoji & reply)-view number of daily/lifetime clicks of chat resources and by whom-added & removed list of members time stamped

We use the zoom call as our main number for work. I had to block someone today. Our parent company is the one who sends us the zoom invites and they record our calls and such. Ar they able to see if I have blocked numbers. I am on a desktop with the newest version of zoom

I want to share a Screenshot of my PC, which unfortunately I am not able or allowed to upload to you. Now the main reason for my Screenshot uploading was to reveal you the annoying continues popping of message chat box during live session on zoom whenever someone comments.I am a Professional Engineer, and it hurts me to tell you that in such advanced time zoom is unable to provide any option/feature for minimizing the chat box that constantly pops up every single time someone comments, its so unacceptable.It hinders the focus during live sessions, especially if there is some reading material shared by the host and the host which most of the time doesn't reads it makes it difficult to accept that zoom is a friendly user App.Its a Kind request to due address it ASAP, as I found my precious time to be utilized addressing a single simple annoying feature.Thank you.Engr. Zoom started putting a time/date stamp in the chat box at the end of meetings.  This takes a lot of screen space and is completely unnecessary.How do I turn off this feature? Thanks! gigi

Hey there! I am trying to work on a solution where (using Zoom workflows) send an email to a shared mailbox by reacting to a message someone posts in a channel. Ultimately, if someone posts something requiring IT support, I would like to react with a specific emoji (which wouldn't be used by others) to send an email through Outlook to a shared mailbox with the IT team. I got through the workflow, but I see that the only email sending capability is with GMAIL. Is there any prospect of leveraging Outlook? Or can I do this if I integrated my Outlook with Zoom mail?

I was wondering if the ability to customize the zoom notification sound is something that has been implemented yet, as I saw this question asked back in 2022 but it's 3 years later. Has it ever become a thing?

Hi, I do not get the font size option in settings or in the chat. I get all the other options. Why is that? The font is always super small and I cannot change it.

I have my Zoom VDI Workplace V6.1.13 installed and I am upgrading the version from my tenant.... the channel on the tenant is set to the latest version 6.2.11....  The application sees that there is an update pending as the registry is pointing to the correct channel in the tenant....When I reboot the Vmware VDI or close down Zoom in the system tray and re-open Zoom it should automatically update the version, but I am receiving the message:The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation....It's like the installer is no longer allowing a standard user to install the update, or the user has no rights to uninstall the current version...Anyone have any ideas?Any help greatly appreciated.

Why does one of my chat contacts have a red exclamation mark in a circle icon after their name? I'm on Linux Mint. 

Hi there, I am having a problem with Zoom that I had never had before, Nowadays, It suddenly starts freezing on launch way more often than it did before, Sometimes, it literally fails to launch, which is pretty annoying, if you're wondering, I just force quitted Zoom app a few days, ago, nothing much. A lot of our team uses reactions (emojis) as confirmation or acknowledgement of something sent in a team chat message (both direct messages and channels). However, I have not found a notification option when reactions are used on messages within team chat...not meetings. Is there a way to do this to keep us from having to go back in and check on things manually?

I have written previously and gotten no response to a product suggestion. In short, the idea is to create a teleprompter mode so that presenters don't have to look away at their notes.   I gave a more fulsome description of the idea in my prior note.  Happy to discuss this with anyone on your team.

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the help!We want to read every messages sent into a channel in Zoom Team Chat, whether it's from our teams' accounts or external users that we invite to Zoom Team Chat channel. However, it seems the Zapier can only read messages sent by account integrated into the Zapier (meaning, we won't be able to read messages from External Users that doesn't belong into our groups/orgs). Is there a better way to approach this? As the trigger in Zapier is very limited to the account connected. Our main purposes will be to pass the messages sent by these users but the first trigger doesn't even work for external users or non-connected accounts (not connected to Zapier). Thank you. 

We are in a meeting and having technical issues with the Chat function. It will not let the host message the waiting room and we have guests in the meeting today

Hello, How do I contact Zoom to inquire about inaccurate reporting data for Webinars? For example, I know 20+ people registered to attend my webinar, but Zoom is showing only 14 registrants when I export the list. This has been an ongoing issue, and I don't know why Reports is not showing accurate data in real time.

Can an Admin User access deleted Zoom chats, or is that something only the Owner can see?

The new format, which opens a separate chat window for each participant, is extremely inconvenient and disruptive, especially during sessions with a large number of attendees.In scenarios where over 100 participants are actively sending messages, it becomes practically impossible to follow conversations or provide timely responses. The fragmented experience severely affects the efficiency of communication and hampers engagement during meetings and webinars.We have been long-time users of Zoom and truly appreciate the platform. However, if this issue persists without a revert or improvement in functionality, we will be forced to explore alternative platforms that offer a more manageable and unified chat experience.We hope Zoom considers this feedback seriously and addresses the usability concerns at the earliest.
