I am a freelance travel writer, US based but taking multiple trips yearly to the Caribbean where I do much of my work. I use a Skype number for many calls back to the US and Canada but M/soft is dumping Skype in May. I do not regard M/soft as a company to trust with "Teams" which strikes me as far too complicated as a Skype replacement. I understand I can port (move) my Skype number so it is used in Zoom Phone. I want to be able to make and receive VOIP calls from a Zoom Phone app on my laptop which also runs on my cell phone. I do not often make calls using this number to anywhere other than the USA and Canada. Whatsapp is not practical for this use since so many people I call in the US don't have it. WHAT DO READERS HERE THINK OF USING ZOOM AS A SKYPE REPLACEMENT? This is for me only, I'm on the phone a lot every day.  IS IT A SIMPLE, SEAMLESS TRANSITION? Which Zoom Phone level would be best? Hi there,  I have been using Zoom for quite some time. Suddenly last week, when I answer any call, there is a notification that "This call is being transcribed." It happens a second time if I am doing a warm transfer. It also happens for the other person if I do a direct transfer. 

Has anyone been able to centralise a blocked contacts list? I'm currently an admin only access so the only way to view everyones blocked contacts would be to login to their account.  I'd like to see if there is anyway around this or maybe I need to request account management access. Open to hear what path others took if they didn't manage to centralise the blocked list.    

I enabled Online Faxing on my line for testing. I am able to receive faxes, but sending faxes is not working. I receive the error 'Sent fax failed'. No explanation. The sent faxes appear in my drafts folder. I checked the logs in Phone System Management and there is no evidence of a fax that was sent and failed. I also checked my personal profile fax settings and nothing is there. Is there somewhere I can look to see why the fax failed so I can troubleshoot?

Hey there! My company just recently changed phone systems to Zoom phone. With our previous carrier, we were able to use a soft phone on the computer and type in a phone number/menu option with the physical keyboard, and by copying and pasting/clearing numbers into the keypad dial. This was very useful because while working in Healthcare, a lot of insurance companies request ID numbers for our providers, like their Tax ID, NPI, or a patient's member ID. Is there a way to provide this feedback to the development team? It's my first post, so I'm not sure if you can like or upvote, but if you can please do if you agree! Best,  Deb

I jus signed up to try zoom to see if it's any better than Vonage.  Oh my, the setup is way more complex than it needs to be.  Ok I made my first call using zoom app on my iPHone, after 18 min call dropped. Now can't make any calls, "call failed" and once I did see "account inactive code 1301403".  Support person didn't have too much of a clue, I told her of the issues I had with initial setup with assigning a package, and generating a number, etc etc.. and she asked me to re-assign the packages to the user account, then I couldn't add the number back after I un-binded it.  I was able to figure out on my own I had to remove it from being some company number of something.. this thing is like a whole PBX setup.. crazy for an end user VOIP system.  Anyway, after re-assigning packages, reinstalling iPhone zoom app etc etc,  still doesn't work same error.  Support escalated my case waiting for response, but thought I would come here for any suggestions.

I keep receiving an error message that it won't send through. The international texting has been enabled with all countries selected. How do I get it to successfully send?

 I  have a question for the community regarding viewing charged calls only since I am currently on a metered plan.   When I go to the Administration section:   click on Phone System Management - Logs and once the Logs window opens in the "New View Version " how do I find the "Show charged call logs only"? Because when I choose the Classic View Version, I can see the check box for "Show charged calls only" at the bottom.   So, on the " New View Version" what are the steps to get to the" show charged call logs only"?   Right now, I go right away to the classic view page but if  and when it is terminated I will be out of luck which is frustrating! I’m having an issue when phone registered Avaya J179 phones with Zoom Phone. Everything seems to provision correctly in the admin portal and I’ve assigned the proper licenses, but every time the phone boots it displays: The phone is not licensed in zoom This message persists until the “OK” button is pressed. After that, the phone behaves normally. It doesn't affect calls or features immediately after, but it's persistent and disruptive to users.Questions:Is there a known prerequisite or license type (e.g. Avaya license, Zoom “device license” vs Zoom Phone user license) that might be missing?Has anyone resolved this “not licensed” boot message for Avaya desk phones?Thanks in advance!

I can't find my phone call transcripts or recordings. I can see in the log that the recordings were made, but no way to listen to or download them. I asked the chat box, but it couldn't understand the question.   maybe this helps this is my plan Zoom Workplace Pro Plus with US/CA Unlimited

I've had my Zoom phone for about 2 months, and I've been able to make calls but have been unable to receive calls or text messages. Instead, the call goes to voicemail, and when a voicemail is left, it is not received on my end. I'm also unable to send a text message. The message states, "You do not have a direct number, you cannot start a new conversation."  If anyone is able to help, I'll greatly appreciate it. 

I need to create a meeting with telephone dial-in options but my settings do not give me an option for "computer and telephone audio". I am only able to check "computer audio". How do I enable this?

I just purchased a zoom phone number then I can't make any phone call. 

during a zoom in which i had muted myself, I took a phone call.  Normally, it mutes the audio on the zoom and switches over to the bluetooth headset automatically and when I finish the call goes back to the zoom audio still muted.  Recently, it has taken me back to zoom audio but then I am no longer muted.  How can I fix this?

We are a company of 25 staff, many of whom work with clients and need their phones on the go. We switched to zoom phones about 6 months ago and have been struggling intensely. Calls get dropped, missed, audio is inconsistent, voicemail notifications with a major delay until they actually appear... We've dug deep into the settings and a few things have helped, but nothing has solved the issue. The only thing that seems to potentially explain it is that we need very strong Internet connection to use the phones, it can't rely on phone data. We aren't receiving error messages, just extremely poor performance. I'm wondering if zoom phones are good for people who are primarily desk bound? Customer support comes back with the same auto responses with every ticket: send a screenshot. The issue that we can't screenshot what's not happening or capture the poor performance. Are others having these issues? Thank you.

Hi Everyone, I am trying to setup one of our team so our main call queue will ring on their desk phone but not on their iphone app.Is this type of setup possible? They are a member of a call queue but are often away from their desk. I dont want them to be bothered by the call queue when they are not at their desk whilst still being able to take internal calls. I realise they can opt in and out of the call queue but this can be easily forgotten.

We have a number of sales reps that all need to monitor each other. In addition, we have managers that need to monitor the reps but not be monitored. The issue we see is that reps cannot be members of a monitor role and a monitored role.  Has anyone found an easy workaround for this or a similar scenario?

My biggest pet peeve from using Zoom is that you cannot create group names in the sms chats. With the office we create a lot of these chats but every time I need to check exactly who is on which chat. Resulting in a lot of times sending a message in the wrong chat (because it's either missing a person that you oversaw vs the chat you meant, or it has a person too many). If you can create group names, I can call it for example Team or Team + VP or Analysts, or Interns. I know a lot of people at our office would be really happy if we can create group names...

Starting some time between May 2nd and May 5th, if a user misses an internal call from someone else in our company and they look in the call history, it'll now display the outbound caller ID we set up for each user that's meant for external callers (this is only happening on the Zoom desktop app and the mobile app. It looks like it's affecting call logs in the admin portal as well). Prior to May 5th, the actual internal caller's name and extension would show up in the call history instead of the outbound ID we set up for each phone. I should note the outbound ID is the call queue numbers we set up for each branch (the call queue numbers are using the main phone numbers for each branch. We intended this to be used for when we're calling external phones outside of the company so that the caller ID would show up as the main company number to the external phone).I should also note that when the notification for the incoming call pops up on the screen while a call is being rece

At my job we use zoom phones as our main phone system. The other two women I work with receive voicemails with no issue but for some reason they will NEVER show up on mine. I am on a PC and everything is fully updated. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know if SMS for Zoom Phone Australia is unlimited texting or know the rate per text for AUS to AUS texting? Support keeps directing me to the international PBX rate page, but these are US to international I am pretty sure. We've have difficulty pulling the text transcriptions from Automatic phone call recordings.  I've referred to this previous forum (https://community.zoom.com/t5/Phone-System/Zoom-phone-audio-transcripts-text-file/m-p/100072#M4914) and we've tried to access it through the API, but still only pulling the audio transcriptions. Under our call logs, it shows that 'Admin has disabled this transcription' for our automatic calls but we've enabled every setting accessible to us to allow for text transcriptions. Is there a security setting we're missing? Appreciate any guidance here.
