I'm an instructor at an online coding school. We use zoom as our classroom and use the breakout rooms when it's time for practices. It would be so wonderful if I could create templates or save breakout room setups in some way so I don't have to enter the same settings every single time. I think this would be a great feature for your next update! Thanks for your time.

I created a Zoom account as an Educator because I will be teaching students ages 12-18 accounting, budgeting, business accounting, etc. I am still being shown that my Zoom Meetings can only be 40min long, even as an educator. Do educators not receive longer Zoom Meetings?

Current Health from Best Buy Health transformed its healthcare delivery by providing care-at-home offerings to patients, enabling them to access medical care on their terms. With their Hospital at Home solution, patients have the option to receive treatment from the comfort of their homes through video visits with trusted healthcare providers. Tom Roberts, the director of product management, highlights the importance of high-quality video communication for healthcare, which led them to integrate Zoom Meeting SDK into their solutions. The adoption not only improved the patient experience but also made it easier for providers to collaborate, offer interpreter services for non-English-speaking patients, and provide closed captioning for the hearing-impaired. The enhanced reliability and accessibility of Zoom have been well-received by both patients and providers, leading to improved patient outcomes and positive feedback from nurses and healthcare professionals.   Opal HealthCare manages 80 residential aged Care Communities located in metro and regional areas across Australia. They have a key purpose: to bring joy to the people they care for.   These communities are a world away from the traditional idea of aged care, and Zoom is playing an instrumental role in how those living in aged care are thriving.   Roseanne Cartwright, Opal HealthCare’s Director of Communications and Community Engagement, says the COVID-19 pandemic has provided their team with a unique opportunity to find solutions that give residents special experiences even when they can’t interact with people in person.   “For our residents and families, the most difficult part of COVID is not being able to see one another in-person for, at times, many months,” Cartwright said. “So, for our residents, there was a gap in the connections they’d normally have.”     An answer in Zoom   The Opal HealthCare team decided the best way forward in helping r

Hi all,We have all gotten quite skilled with fully remote meetings using Zoom. Now we are starting to explore hybrid meetings - some people in person and some people on Zoom. Our meetings are a bit more complex - language interpreters, American Sign Language interpreters, Captioner, a power point presentation in person, presentation to in person attendees,  etc. Do you have any tips and helpful information for us?Our account is for Zoom meetings only, not webinars. Thanks TS

I want to set up a screen with two camera input:     One camera is pointed at me.  One camera is pointed down at a pad of paper.  I want to be able to switch cameras with a keystroke.  Each camera needs separate rotate and mirror options.   So far this doesn't seem possible within zoom.   A second way to do it would be to have a camera aimed at either whiteboard or notepad and bring that up on a second monitor at my end, then I can share that screen.  This doesn't work two way, as most kids don't have a dual monitor set up.   I can see it likely meaning that a student needs to acquire a bit of hardware.  Most laptops now have cameras built in.  Many kids have cell phones, and/or their parents have an old phone.  This gives a second camera.  There are inexpensive adapters to put a cell phone on a tripod.   USB cameras aren't very expensive, but tend to be less capable than a phone.    Need to ensur

Hi everyone, I am an educator who has recently transitioned to online teaching using Zoom. I want to ensure that my students have the best possible experience during our virtual classes. I would greatly appreciate any tips or suggestions on how to optimize my Zoom sessions for educational purposes. Specifically, I am interested in learning about the following: Audio and video settings: What are the recommended settings to ensure clear audio and video quality? Are there any adjustments I can make to enhance the overall experience? Interactive features: How can I engage my students and encourage active participation during Zoom sessions? Are there any interactive features or tools that I should be utilizing? Screen sharing and presentation: What are the best practices for sharing my screen and delivering presentations effectively? Are there any tips for ensuring that the content is easily visible and understandable for all participants? Breakout rooms: How can I effectively

Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPS) transformed its communication system by replacing its inflexible on-prem phone systems with Zoom Phone. This transition enabled the staff to work remotely and in hybrid environments, addressing the limitations of the previous setup. By leveraging the Zoom API, they integrated their security system with Zoom Phone, ensuring automatic phone calls to school safety personnel during security alerts.   Additionally, this transition facilitated a healthy work-life balance, allowing staff members to participate in evening board meetings from the comfort of their homes. The district's virtual school stood out by providing students with authentic GBAPS classroom teachers teaching their district’s curriculum.   Click here to learn more!   Do you have a similar program at your school or university? The Zoom account is owned by my EHR which connects directly to my patients' schedules. For 2 years, I could be on with one patient and my staff connect with my next patient to do preliminary check ins. Last month, this stopped due to Zoom no longer allowing a second room opened. My EHR support team says ZOOM has stopped this ability. My question is how to get it back? Is there a higher level plan that will allow for this or was there a change on update and defaulted back but still an option? It is imperative for work flow to be able to have 2 rooms open. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

I would like to know if the Zoom Meeting API is HIPAA compliant. Additionally, I am interested in using 'Zoom for Healthcare' in the UK and would appreciate information on any relevant restrictions or regulations.

Virtual care is now an integral part of serving clients at The Dorm, a mental health treatment center for young adults.    The Dorm transitioned from zero to 100% virtual services during the pandemic, and within a few months, resumed in-person care with a hybrid approach — four days a week in person and one day where all sessions happen virtually. Additionally, The Dorm’s founder and CEO, John McGeehan, estimates that between 20% and 25% of clients have chosen an entirely virtual treatment path, which may include individual therapy sessions and remote participation in group therapy sessions taking place at The Dorm.   McGeehan and his team are focused on implementing this new hybrid model of treatment in a way that’s effective for all participants.    “Everyone was masked in our facilities, so how could we overcome the audio hurdle? How could we set up cameras that weren’t just a 180-degree view but had a 360-degree perspective, so it didn’t matter whether you

The team members of Gaucho Creative (GC) know they’re part of something special. More than an internship or typical college job, Gaucho Creative provides students at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) with real-world, portfolio-building experience that can otherwise take years to acquire.    Founded in June 2020, Gaucho Creative is a student-run, marketing consulting group that began when two students, Devanshi Mehta, and Amy Zhou, recognized a need for more professional marketing opportunities since there was no business school on campus. They discussed their ideas via Zoom Meetings and eventually connected with other interested students to launch the business virtually as an 11-person cohort.    Click Here to Learn More!   Do you have a similar program at your school or university? Check out our recent case study on Healthie, a telehealth and practice management platform that helps connect healthcare professionals to patients.   Founded in 2016, Healthie simplifies practice management for professionals by providing tools for billing and scheduling, increasing provider access to clients through telehealth, and offering a virtual environment to communicate with and educate clients.   Healthie needed a high-quality video communications solution that would integrate easily into their platform across all devices, enable a HIPAA-compliant virtual environment that protects client information, and provide a reliable connection regardless of location.   Thanks to Zoom’s robust API, Zoom was very easy to set up and integrate into the Healthie platform on their web application as well as their iOS and Android apps. Because Zoom was so successful within the platform, Healthie further expanded their Zoom use by deploying five Zoom Rooms and Zoom Webinars. &nbsp

Calling all Educators! Are you listening? Ok, good.. Today, Zoom released our much anticipated FOCUS mode. That's right, Focus mode is live! This mode will allow all students to ONLY see their teacher, while still allowing the teacher to see all students. This is ideal for exams/tests, as well as socioeconomic disparity in student’s homes. You can turn it on by logging into your web browser client, and navigating down to "in-meeting advanced" in your settings. #education #students #teaching #zoomedu
