Team Chat

Workplace version 6.3.1Appears with one of the latest updates to Workplace, Message groupings were rearranged.  Granted I like the addition of the Apps group, I'm not happy with Shared Spaces pushed all the way to the bottom.  Once another folder is opened, our Shared Spaces gets push out of view.Is there a way to change the order of Messages? 

How do I disable typing suggestions. It's distracting and annoying while trying to type. I turn this off in other apps, but I cannot seem to find out how to turn it off here. It started popping up after the latest updates.

I recently went to a Sign Language workshop and we didnt connect to audio because we were all signing.  Or we were muted. When spotlighted it never asked us to unmute.  In all other meeting with deaf where I have been put on spotlight I always get a annoying pop up asking me to unmute. Which is great for hearing meetings but not for deaf.. How do I adjust settings to stop the unmute pop up window???? 

Hi, since I upgraded to release 6.2.6,when using team chat, I can't display any more the list of participants in the chat container. Is there any way to get this functionnality back please ? Thanks! Cedric.

Hi, the Chat section in my Zoom app has changed its layout. Before, I had a sidebar on the left with contacts and channels, and on the right, there was a panel ready to view chats when I clicked on a contact. Now, the screen only shows contacts, and to see a chat, I have to double-click, which opens a new window. Is there a way to restore the old layout?

Is it possible to permanently turn off someone else's status message? This never used to be there, is this part of an update? I keep clicking the X to the right but the Status message keeps coming back. I don't want to see the status message as it is irrelevant as some people do not use it as status message. I have removed the status message in the screenshot below but it pops up in a grey banner at the bottom of the screen where the text I have put "some text here...."

Hi all 🙂I often record and share short instructional videos for my team.  When I post a video file, team members must download the file first before viewing.  This creates a no-so-efficient experience.  ☹ Is there a way to share a video within a chat/channel so that it can be view directly without the need for download?  Perhaps this is already an option but a particular format is required for embedding? Thanks in advance!  💯

When focussed in the chat line, i cannot press AltGr + U for the letter "ü" with the EurKey Layout. Zoom overwrites the Hotkey, but it is not to be found in the settings to disable it.When pressed outside of zoom or with another element in zoom focussed (chat window, search bar) the hotkey is working fine. Just when the chat input line is focussed, Zoom overwrites the windows keyboard layout.  

I was using zoom the other day, and you know the team chat emotes that can be added. I thought what if you could add some to your Rollie o you can type them in any chat without having to add them

I am looking at upgrading a PC that runs Zoom and currently supports three displays - #1 PC monitor, #2 2nd PC monitor and #3 HDMI output to TVs. The upgraded PC can  support 4 displays, hence I'm hoping to use #4 to display the output from Zoom to a separate TV string.We are using the current PC to run hybrid-Zoom meetings whereby the main meeting runs using the existing three displays and the output of the Zoom meeting is as normal over the internet. However, we have two separate TVs that we'd like to be able to send the Zoom output to so that viewers in these rooms that cannot see the main platform at present will be able to do so.My question is - can one output Zoom to a 2nd HDMI port? I sincerely hope so! 

Is it possible to tag someone with "Notify me when available" permanently so that I get a notification every time their presence changes to available? Currently, if the contact goes Available and then Away again, I wouldn't be notified the next time they came back. It would be useful for those moments when I miss that window to grab them, especially for people that spend a lot of time away from their desks!

I am encountering an issue with one of my channels. The channel is fully visible and functional in the Zoom desktop application, but it does not appear in the Zoom Web Portal.The channel contains important information, and I need to access it through the Web Portal. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? If so, how did you resolve it?I’d appreciate any advice or guidance on how to recover or synchronize the channel.Thank you in advance for your help!

I am an Admin for a Zoom workplace pro account. I had team chat enabled to allow users to use the chat and to attach files. All other options were available to use such as google drive however the my computer option was greyed out for everyone including me the host. There is no information in the help section regarding this issue and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or a particular setting that would cause this issue?

Replies (aka: Threaded Responses) enable you to keep conversations neatly grouped together - so they're easier for everyone to follow. When you hit "Reply" to a post, you're signaling to others in the channel that you're weighing in on the same topic. All the replies stay grouped together under the initial post and can be collapsed for easier viewing.   Have a new topic you want to discuss? Start a new post.

So, maybe you are familiar with other platforms that have teams work workspaces and you're thinking.... I wish Zoom had a way with Team Chat to separate a collection of users and channels.  It's a project, a department, a team, confidential topic or project, sensitive info, and more.....Why not enable, train, and allow users to create Shared Spaces?  OR maybe Admins create and manage the Shared Spaces.  I know 11 minutes can seem like an eternity, but I use a VIDEO to break down Zoom Team Chat: Shared Spaces -  what it is, use cases, admin controls, and end user experience.  Let me know what you think in the comments, throw down some likes! and/or hit me up for additional video requests regarding Team Chat or the Zoom Workplace!  -Mike Hamilton

Is there any way to disable team chat for the whole organization? So we can prevent users from using it.

I also verified that nothing settings-wise (both at the Account and Group-level) would prevent me from doing this. I do know that we have Advanced Chat Encryption enabled for our account, though I don't see this feature listed as a limitation to the feature. Hello Zoom Team and Community, I would like to propose a feature enhancement for Zoom's chat functionality that I believe could significantly improve communication efficiency for users: Read Receipts, similar to the blue ticks in WhatsApp. This feature would indicate when a recipient has read a message, providing clarity and accountability in conversations. It would be especially beneficial in professional settings where timely responses are crucial, as it eliminates ambiguity about whether a message has been seen or overlooked.

Please tell me there is a way to access chat history if I didn't check the SAVE CHAT box when I started a chat in a meeting. Zoom used to automatically send your chat history after the meeting ended, I didn't know this had changed. It is not at all intuitive. There has to be a backdoor, right?
