Link previews don't always appear

Did you ever get an answer, or figure out what was causing this issue?

I have the same issue, no previews appearing for links added to a chat ... and this is affecting all my users, not just myself, so it is clearly more of a global issue than just a single user.

I asked a similar question after you did, but still have no solution as of yet. Just wanted to see if some else may have resolved this.

Mike_S, the problem has not been resolved.

MGSR, I don't know where to find that setting. There is no "Other settings" in Account Management > Account Settings > Team Chat.

On the client, in Team settings, I found the 'Other Settings' header and 'Show Link Preview" is checked off and active.

For the Global settings, under Account settings - Team Chat - Security, 'Enable Advance Chat Encryption' is turned off, and always has been. it is not until I activate it, then I see the 'Enable Hyperlink preview' option, which is unchecked, but I currently do not want Advance Encryption enabled at the moment.  ... and up until about August of 2024, link preview were visible ... sometime between Aug 2/24 and Aug 23/24 is when link previews stopped displaying.

Mike_S, thank you for the settings information. I, too, do not want chat encryption since it disables the ability for a legal hold. Our issue was first noticed in July 2023.
