Events

We have a large event this coming Thursday where we anticipate 1,500 attendees. It is all simulive. When testing and viewing on the web client, we have been experiencing very significant issues with the video and audio. The video lags, the audio gets out of sync, we get low bandwidth or unstable network prompts. This is a very important event, and a lot of our attendees will be joining via the web client as opposed to the app for various reasons, despite our communications that the app is best for optimal viewing. Has anybody else experienced any sort of issue or has anybody raised anything to Zoom? We can't be the only ones experiencing this. We've tried literally everything. We were up until 3 a.m. today playing around with files types, tweaking any potential setting that we think could be causing the hang-up. We just tested 10 different sessions with 10 different file types, so have tested this extensively with every type of video file setting and session formats (even a live eve

Hello,Curious to see if anybody else faces this issue. Whenever I create a meeting with a randomly generated room, the moment somebody else accepts the outlook invite zoom deletes the meeting and I need to recover it from my trash can to put it back on my calendar. Would really appreciate any insight on this! Thanks.

What can I do to resolve Zoom incorrectly blocking UK users from joining a UK-only meeting? Multiple users, based in Wales, have recently been blocked from meetings on the incorrect basis of being in Germany or the Netherlands. How can this be fixed? 

Dear All,  Today I wanted to add LinkedIn as a live stream option but I have nowhere to enter the link and code because when I click on the additional live stream services besides Facebook etc., automatically my Instagram is activated. I remember that it took ne forever to arrange this last year but now I need to remove this option. Does anybody know how to remove Insta and then connect LinkedIn? Just unklicking and clicking again the button "Benutzerdefinierter Live Streaming Service" (custom live streaming) does not work.  Thank you in advance! Kristina

I have used "Record active speaker with shared screen" several times before to record online sessions where I teach a class using slides and where my picture is visible on the screen next to the slides. After the upgrade to Zoom workplace was installed this is no longer working. The recordings now only shows the slides, not my picture/the active speaker.Under "My recordings" the recorded file is still named "Shared screen with speaker view" but the speaker view is not there, only the slides. In addition to choosing "Record active speaker with shared screen" under Cloud recording settings, I also set the settings in zoom to record "speaker view" and "shared screen" and the two other recorded files show what they are supposed to, but not the "shared screen with speaker view". I should also mention that Zoom has crashed several times today when I have tried to record after the download of the upgrade.  

When a meeting is started the participates are able to hear the speaker and videos played by sharing on the laptop. When we play the songs/music from the laptop the participates are unable to hear it. Our meetings are live and we have people in the room as well as the participates in the Zoom meeting. We would like the participates to be able to hear the music/songs during the meeting. How can this be achieved? 

Searching in the Community and blogs, but can't find anything...in Zoom Events, smallest font size is 12. Need to put a long disclaimer on the email and want to use a smaller font size. Is it possible? Thank you!

When I am holding a meeting as the host a get this message when I try the screen sharing function. Could please anybody tell me why this happens and how to sort it out? Thank you in advance 

Hi, I am creating a multi-session event and there will be eight different ticket types (Early bird/standard; standard/low income; and virtual/in-person). Is it possible to duplicate an existing ticket, including its customised registration questions, or do I have to fill out every field (including 9 custom registration questions) for all eight ticket types?Thanks

Hey ihr Lieben, ich nutze bereits viele Jahre Zoom und haben auch immer Musik im Hintergrund gehabt. Seit April habe ich Probleme in einem Meeting meine Musik im Hintergrund abzuspielen. Ich wechsle zwischen Mac und dem normalen PC und habe teilweise auch Mikrofone ausprobiert. Natürlich habe ich bereits unter Audio die Einstellung gesetzt, dass die Hintergrundgeräusche sehr laut aufgenommen werden aber es funktioniert einfach nicht mehr. Was kann ich tun?Kurz:Ich rede im Meeting und möchte auch Musik spielen dabei bzw. wenn ich leise bin ABER es kommt bei den Teilnehmern immer nur abgehackt an oder nur kurz der Start der Musik.  Danke für eure Hilfe.Lg

How can I restrict visibility of a hub to specific individuals within the organization, granting them read-only access to view content posted in the hub, without allowing them to create events or having host rights?

I am trying to get a client's domain verified and I have searched for hours and can't seem to find any good documentation or answers on what actually needs to be changed in his DNS to get the domain verified, specifically the CNAME record. It just simply states:Create a CNAME that maps your domain to events-branding.zoom.us.That is so vague and not helpful. What is the NAME and VALUE that should be added to the CNAME Record?

Hi all, I'm trying to make Zoom Events hub the single access area for all of our events, however as we all know, registering, paying for and attending a Paid event is only allowed in certain countries.   Question: Can I provide a Free ticket to a paid event to people outside of the list of countries and they will have no issues attending and having the same experience?  Example, if someone in Botswana, Africa wanted to attend  and paid my company directly (not via zoom) and I issue the individual with a free ticket - would this enable them to attend? Thanks

I am setting up an event with 7 ticket types and each ticket has the same 10 questions.I can not see a way to set up a template ticket.  I have scoured the community questions and find that others have had this problem but there seems to be no answers.Sometimes the instructions are go to links/event access and customise questions, then click create.  There is no create option.I'm super frustrated by this.

I tried registering for the Quizlet event, but one field was State/province. Since I live in the UK, there are no states (like in the US) or Provinces (like in Canada),Therefore, I couldn't register (of course, it doesn't accept English counties!So, it should be made clear that customers not from the US or Canada will have no access to Zoom webinars, events, or anything requiring filling in the State/Province field.Any help or information you can give me will be appreciated.

Hello!Our work conference is limited to pre-registered participants (by csv upload) who have been forwarded access via an emailed link directly from the Zoom Events platform.After testing we noticed you can forward the sent email (link) to an outside person and they can self-register by accessing the join button and requesting a code.How do I delete this self-registered option?Thanks 🙂

I can't register for that event. I live in the UK and there is no state nor province. 

Hello, OnZoom has been great for months.  Recently some participants told me they could not sign up for my event. When they go to pay for a ticket (drop-in or for the entire series) they get an error message that simply says, "An error was encountered while processing your request." I tried purchasing a ticket using another Zoom account, and I got the same error right at the point of submitting the payment.  I've also tried creating special tickets for the participants using discounted and free email-invite tickets. Those don't work either.  One participant is registered for the entire series. He registered last month when I originally posted the event at OnZoom. He can log in just fine, but I'm losing drop-in participants.  Anyone have similar issues? Any ideas about how to remedy the issues is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We are about to go live on Zoom Sessions soon and are trying to test/develop an SOP for cancelling an event. I understand how to cancel the event but I'm really disappointed in the email that is sent to registrants. I inserted a message that Zoom then copies into an email they control. Here are all of my issues:Why doesn't Zoom provide an email template for event cancellation so that the branding carries over and we can control the whole message?Why can't I send a test email like I can from an email template or when rescheduling an event?Why is there a new calendar invite attached to the cancellation email that has a Subject Line of "Private Event?" Why is the sender of the email "Zoom Events" instead of the email address associated with my license.These are huge issues and I can't figure out any workaround. It does not appear that I can bypass this cancellation email. It is my only choice when I cancel an event.

We need the ability to default the "Show Past Events" box to checked so that our clients see all of our events by default. The ability to set the default on this field needs to be added to the Profile section of Zoom Sessions. 

In our Zoom Events Hub, each event title is cut off and does not wrap beyond two lines of text even though there is clearly enough white space to include the entire title. Please add text wrap so the entire title is visible.
