Dear Zoom Team,I am writing to express our concern regarding the recent update to your chat feature during meetings. The new format, which opens a separate chat window for each participant, is extremely inconvenient and disruptive, especially during sessions with a large number of attendees.In scenarios where over 100 participants are actively sending messages, it becomes practically impossible to follow conversations or provide timely responses. The fragmented experience severely affects the efficiency of communication and hampers engagement during meetings and webinars.We have been long-time users of Zoom and truly appreciate the platform. However, if this issue persists without a revert or improvement in functionality, we will be forced to explore alternative platforms that offer a more manageable and unified chat experience.We hope Zoom considers this feedback seriously and addresses the usability concerns at the earliest.

Is there a way to paste formatted text form the clipboard unformatted in the Team Chat in the app? I can't seem to be able to find one for such a basic functionality. Constant clearing the formatting gets quite tedious. Every major browser now supports Ctrl+Shift+V for this. (Please don't suggest using some Notepad as an intermediate step)

Hello Zoom Team and Community,I'm reaching out to request an important feature for Arabic-speaking users of Zoom Workplace.Currently, when we type messages in Arabic (especially when mixed with English), the chat interface does not display them properly — the text alignment is left-to-right, which causes confusion and makes the messages hard to read. This affects not only readability but also the overall communication experience for Arabic users.It would be incredibly helpful if Zoom Workplace could support **right-to-left (RTL)** text rendering in chat, similar to how other platforms handle Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian. After the recent update, it’s become very difficult to manage chat messages during my Zoom sessions. Earlier, I could easily see all private messages sent by participants to the host in one place. Now, I need to select each participant to view their message, which is not practical when handling large groups. i saw a reply to another participant with the same problem with a suggested solution. but i cannot find the setting referenced in the suggested solution. and i see that a lot of other people have the same problem and cannot see this setting. is this a setting i have to get my school administrators to change?  this is ridiculous. just change it back.  this was a mess in an online test today.  i have an hour before my next test. sending an email is not going to solve this problem fast enough. you have not even approved and posted my questions here yet.  we should go back to Blackboard Collabo

Hello,  Is there a setting to allow attendees to view chat messages and uploaded files that were added before they joined? For example, if someone joins late, can they still see the chat and files?  Additionally, is there a way to attach files, or links that would appear as a banner in zoom (outside of the chat)? These files could be added at the time of scheduling the meeting or within the meeting once it has commenced.  I would like to find a way to add a couple of standard files to the zoom chat that are easily visible and accessible and stand out to users even if they do not have the chat open.  Thank you. 

Got the error"Zoom - Schedule MeetingYou cannot edit this meeting to add continuous meeting chat capability as the meeting requires registration." This is a major FLAW, feature limitation, BUG in Zoom.The logic should be simple:Anyone who registers to the Zoom meeting and then is admitted by the Host, should be automatically added to the continuous meeting chat.By forcing the account owner to choose between continuous meeting  chat and meeting registration, the options become:1. Disable Meeting Registration, which then makes it hard to ban repeat offending users as we don't have their email.2. Enable Meeting Registration, disabling continuous meeting chat, forcing us to use whatsapp or another group messaging app.

I posed a problem last week. I received an email saying that I got a solution, but how do I get to the solution? 

We had a weird situation today where one of our team members typed a phone number into the chat and three of the four people on the call got it correctly while the fourth person got one SCRAMBLED!  If the number was (123) 456-7890 what showed up on their screen was (123) 890-4567 !!!!?!?!

I am using Zoom to contact a client. I am polish speaking person, so my primary keyboard settings on my OS is set to polish. But i am using english to communicate with client. Zoom is autocorrecting some of my words when i am using english into polish similar one, eg. them -> tchem (which is correct polish word), finish -> finisz (same as before) and some other. Its annoying, and it happens all the time. I was looking for some setting for it, but there is none or i am literally blind. And it happens only in Zoom, no other app and i tend to use mixed languages everywhere, not only Zoom. Is there a way to force Zoom to use english or disable this autocorrect completely?

I can see JPG and MP4 file types in line with a chat, but not MOV, PDF or DOC file types which have to be downloaded to view. Is there a list of file types that can be viewed without downloading them?

In a Zoom meeting on the desktop app... 1) I was the host2) There were 3 participants (me + 2)3) The selection "group chat & anyone directly" was selected' BUT4) There was no drop down menu to select a direct message recipient5) The "more" icon (...) was missing from the bottom menu bar in the chat panel HOW DO I REINSTATE THE ABILITY TO DO DIRECT CHAT????

So Wierd - I got on Zoom yesterday and all of a suddon, It is Ready OUTLOUD Every Message in the Chat while I am Live on Zoom. Not sure Why/How this started, but cannot find anywhere to get it to stop. I cannot hear the regular zoom because of this - nor can I personally go live because everyone can hear it too.Also, How do I get help from Zoom to stop this. Frustrating there is no one to ask, chat, email etc for resolution.Help! 😉

We are facilitating Zoom meetings with over 100 people. We want the Chat to automatically scroll to the bottom of the Chat or to the most recent post as it has done in the past. Today, we had 190 people, so the chat was filling up quickly and we couldn't find recent chats.  Scrolling down through hundreds of posts made it absolutely impossible to see them all. How can we correct this?

Has anyone found an automated way to export past team chats to analyze activity. I am trying to gain insights into who is asking about what topics and frequency of similar inquiries, over an extended period of time, not just a day or a week, but rather a month or more. Currently I copy and paste into ChatGPT to perform this deep level of analysis since AI Companion cannot perform this level of analysis. It is very time consuming and looking for a better way..

I used to just tell my students: message me, and only me (not use group chat) during a lecture. then after the meeting is done, I see all of the chat messages in the (lokaly recorded) saved text file. Now with the new Chat Funktion: where can i see (after the meeting is over) all of the private messages my students wrote to me?
