Whiteboard

Long story short, sharing interactive whiteboards with 'external' users has been disabled on my account. This is causing major issues today, as I teach remotely and needed to add students email addresses so that they could collaborate on the board. It's been impossible. The message I receive when I've tried to share the Whiteboard reads 'A server error occurred. Try again later or if error persists, Contact us for help.' When I investigated this further, the account settings state that the admin has locked / disabled collaboration with external users and when I check up on the roles on my account, I am listed as an owner, with no admin having been added. Technically it seems that as the owner I should have admin permissions, but these are greyed out when I go into settings, meaning I am powerless over changing any sharing permissions. I'm at a loss at what to do. Please do advise me if you can!!

Hi, I've used templates in Whiteboards before and had no trouble. Now, however, when I click on a template from the template list, it will show for a second or two, and then the template feature will disappear. If I click on the template icon in the toolbar, the icon turns blue but nothing happens. I have to log off and log back in, but the same thing happens. I've just downloaded an update and tried again in a new window. But nothing changes. I'm using Mozilla Firefox, and cleared my zoom.us cache. Thanks for your help on this!Mamaki

Hi, We are using zoom whiteboard plus and sharing organization templates. For our convenience, is it possible to divide organization templates into separate groups (folders)? Thanks

Has anyone had issues with recordings since the zoom update? The new whiteboard features are so nice but I just had a student tell me that on the cloud recording, it just shows a black screen when I am using a whiteboard. It seems to work fine live, but I confirmed that just a black screen is shown on the recording. I haven't updated or changed any settings.

I have used the zoom whiteboard on my iPad extensively for the last year or so since it was released, however something weird has started happening across the last week. if I draw using my Apple Pencil then it sometimes interprets my writing/drawing as a double tap, and it the automatically resizes the whiteboard eg from 100% to 125%. I cannot find any way of disabling this double tap irritation. it also does the same if I access the zoom whiteboard via the zoom website rather than through the zoom app. if I use the old zoom whiteboard the problem does not happen BUT it is not as smooth an experience.  I really like the zoom whiteboard, but the double tapping resizing issue make whiteboard use in online lessons unusable. please help!!

I usually use my Mac Mini to run my Zoom meetings but I have a real need to be able to draw on the whiteboard.  Using a mouse to do this is like trying to type with mittens and I have an apple pencil for my iPad.  My requirements would be to use both the mini and the iPad and I would like the process to be as painless as possible. In a perfect world, I would log into Zoom on my Mac mini and the iPad would be magically connected.  I suspect lots of people are doing this so I thought I would ask. Thanks

Is anyone else having issues with whiteboard this morning. My wife was able to teach multiple classes this morning until the last one and Whiteboard stopped loading and just gives the spinning wheel but never loads. I checked my system and am getting the same problem with my whiteboard. We are both on Windows systems. We have tried resetting our systems and resetting Zoom. We have tried both in the app and online versions. 

The white board platform Lacks importing an image as a background.My background is a template that i want to use.If I uplaod an image then it interferes with my writing and soon you want to erase any of your writings then the image (assumed to be a background ) will be erased instead of the writing.Thus zoom developers of whiteboard should consider an option for a background that one can import which is untouchable by the "erase" option or holding/dragging an image which i s the case now. I appreciate any feedback on this new option to be introduced.

When I host a meet all but one user can use their annotate options. The user is on a Lenovo Chromebook. I have made sure that annotate is enabled for the user from my end. Any suggestions please ? 

Hi all,I am the only one user of this account and when I go down to admin > account management > account settings > whiteboard > whiteboard sharing default and choose 'who has access' as 'anyone' and then go to choose 'access level'... it does not allow me to click 'editor'. ('commenter' and 'editor' are greyed out and not able to be selected).I want anyone on the zoom to be able to be an editor on any whiteboard and this is just not letting me do that! I have tried everything!Any help would be gratefully appreciated.  Thank you!  

I've been encountering a specific issue with Zoom whiteboard during my recorded tutoring sessions, and I'm hoping to find some guidance or a solution here. During the live session, everything seems to work fine, but when watching the recording, the annotations made by the tutor aren't visible until they move to a new text box. At that point, all the previous annotations suddenly become visible

Would be soooo grateful if someone could help. SO:I write on the whiteboard,then I close it and go back to the main room.When I re-open the whiteboard again during the same meeting, whatever i had written is not there anymore, it gets deleted and i have to restart with a fresh whiteboard.  Anyone can help keeping the writing on the board ? THANKS! this is driving me mad!

Why does zoom application always quit while my student share their whiteboard on the screen (iPad 9th)?  

The past couple of times I've been tutoring a student and went to share my whiteboard, they couldn't see it.  At the top of the screen it says something like "0 people following you".  How do I get my student to "follow" my whiteboard?  There's only two of us on the meeting...both people seeing the whiteboard used to be automatic.

Hi, I have to use my iPad for my lesson for two weeks and somehow when I open the board a d try to add any text it doesn't work, however if I write in the chat it does. I've tried to look to any keyboard options on the settings but I can't find a anything. Does anyone know what is this about? I really appreciate your time and attention 

I am trying to use the whiteboard function for an activity that a group would complete outside a meeting. Most participants are not in my organization. Basically, i want to use this like I would use a google jamboard (but with the added cool features that I see on zoom whiteboard). When I try to share, it says I can't share with external users, and when external users try to log in, they need to ask to be invited to the jamboard. I would like a link that I can send that allows anyone wiht the link to access and edit the whiteboard outside of a meeting (again, like Jamboard does).  Is this functionality available? I can't figure out why it wouldn't be but I have spend 45 minutes trying to figure out how to do it. THanks! 

Hello! When I am using the tablet-pencil or the mouse they stop working and the only way for them to work again is closing the meeting and opening a new one. This is very disruptive while I am teaching. Have someone encountered this problem before? Any idea why it happend or how to resolve it without closing the meeting? I appreciate your help a lot! I have a teaching exercise that I would like to do with my class. I want to break them into two separate breakout rooms, give them a prompt, and ask them each to brainstorm ideas on a whiteboard. After they finish brainstorming, I would like to bring the entire group back together and display all of their ideas on a single common whiteboard.  My problem is that I am not finding a way to copy the contents of their breakout room whiteboards to a common full-group whiteboard. I have tried to copy and paste the contents, but this does not work (it seems that in order to open a second whiteboard, the first one must close and then I lose access to that content, even if I have copied it to my clipboard.  (Zoom Workplace running on my desktop PC) I'm feeling stuck and would be most appreciative of any ideas to make this exercise work. Hello - I've created a zoom whiteboard containing 12 different pages for a shared project for work. Whiteboard is supposedly auto-saving my work but after closing out of Zoom and returning after a few hours, my updated work is gone. I've tried saving versions of my work, and that doesn't seem to save either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After yesterday's update I couldn't open the classic whiteboard.I've followed the instructions in the help me database and closed and reopened Zoom but it still opens the new board.I've unchecked the box that says "Use Whiteboard by default if available" because there's a message that says "The new Zoom Whiteboard will open by default when screen sharing. Unselect this setting if you prefer to open the classic Whiteboard instead." https://imgur.com/a/mCSDafU 

Hi, after the update I am not able to share the whiteboard and the sound at the background at the same time. The option "share the sound" is visible but it is not possible to choose it. The button is locked. 

When I open whiteboard, it does not work, and , also I am getting messeges like "Use ctrl+B to bold the text" 

Hey! Could you tell me please how to hide and unhide frames from my students? For example, I'm teaching a lesson and I created some frames with learning materials and exercises, but I also want to place the answers for myself (but I don't want students to see them). How do I do that? I've found the feature to hide/unhide frames, but when I hide the frame it becomes invisible for me too. Please help)
