Webinars

Students receive the email with a link to register for the webinar. They continually receive a response that the email address they are using is incorrect. They have never registered for a webinar of mine. It will not let them register on another computer either. So how are they to register for a webinar if zoom isn't going to accept their email address?

I have tried multiple times, and from different browsers, to change the registration questions required to register for a webinar.  I'm only trying to make organization and job title as a required question during registration.  Once I've chosen them and clicked on Save All I get a pop up stating "Edit Registration Success".  However, the questions don't show up in the registration form and when I go back in the options have been de-selected.  Anyone know how I can fix this?  Thanks 🙂

I need technical help hope that’s ok.I’m running my first masterclass on inner child work it’s a zoom meeting that they had to register to join.Now I’m sending drip emails as reminders with the link. BUT the invite link just takes them to register again??? I have the meeting ID and passcode listed but I want the link to get into the meeting not to register???If I used my generic link for my account and meeting ID and passcode would that work?

I generated invite links for my webinar via the apihttps://developers.zoom.us/docs/api/rest/reference/zoom-api/methods/#operation/webinarInviteLinksCreate However I've noticed that on  mobile android and iOS, the zoom app still asks for the users name, even though the link I generated already contains the name. When I try and use the link with the desktop app, it correctly pre-populates the users name set in the invite link. I expect the mobile app to work the same as the desktop app, and to respect the name set in the invite link.

Our CRM system is linked to Zoom. After creating a webinar, CRM shows a lower enrollment total than Zoom. What might be the reason for this inconsistency?

Has anyone else encountered this recently? Have been running shows for over a year with no problem, but for some reason now, even if I hide camera, when I share a screen during a webinar, my company logo remains visible on screen. Any help would be gratefully received as Zoom help has been a case of 'download new version', (which I've done, with no success). I'm not aware that anything has changed in settings to cause this new issue. Many thanks. 

I don't mean this as a rant, but I sure wish we were back on the old version of webinars rather than Zoom Events. First, there is much to like in the ability to customize the design aspects in Zoom Events. The design elegance is great. But...1 -- The inability to FULLY preregister attendees for a webinar series -- WITH the demographic information we carefully accumulated on the old platform -- is not good. And I have found no way to do this manually.2 -- Our attendance for our series is WAY DOWN on Zoom Events. No one has been able to provide an idea why. 3 -- The license limits are misleading -- a 500 attendee license ought to mean 500 attendees for a particular webinar, not 500 REGISTRATIONS for a webinar series.4 -- In the analytics, there is often a disconnect between people listed as attendees, and those that were actually attendees.5 -- The inflexibility of the email communications functionality to a

We are having trouble adding Zoom Rooms as panellists for Zoom events, especially when there are 5-10 Zoom Rooms joining from different countries. As a Zoom admin, we need to have someone join from their laptop first and then pair with the specific Zoom Room before joining the event from the lobby. This process can be time-consuming and troublesome. Often, those working in remote offices lack technical skills, resulting in mistakes during the long process. Is there any easy way to Join from ZR with one click as a panellist or is there anything on the roadmap for simplifying the process?  

I have producers that are conducting in-person events (less than 50 people). Can they use the zoom registration function on zoom? The wouldn't be using zoom for the actual meeting. 

How can I offer my webinars free ($0) for students and $25 for the general public?  Can only seem to set one price via PayPal and it appears that if the PayPal Option is enabled then the backdoor method of registering students as attendees by importing a .csv file will automatically be disabled.

We are on Events, hosting a webinar series with multiple sessions. I know somewhere there is a function allowing you to send a direct notification to registrants - not the canned notifications, but a one time message. I know I have seen it somewhere, but now can't find it anywhere. Anyone?

Having challenges with assigning hosts other than myself for webinars - challenges that I don't have when I have been made host on others' Zoom webinar accounts.   I am default host for my account when scheduling the webinar. During setup I try to add an other email to assign as co-host/host and get this error:Unable to assign ("email address") as an alternative host because the user cannot be selected at this timeClarification #1: The email I am trying to add is not affiliated with my Zoom account, but I don't think that should matter?   Since I couldn't assign an alternative host at setup, I logged into the live webinar and made her a host at the beginning.  After I dropped off, she was then trying to make a panelist co-host during the live webinar and it would not let her do so - even though this is something I have been able to do as host myself on another Zoom webinar account just last

Do I need to hire a third party to transcibe in Spanish for a meeting tonight that will be in English? If yes, who are these 3rd parties?

I was running a webinar last night and could not get the speaker video to appear. I have only run about six or eight webinars, but never had this issue before.  It's been about eight months since my last webinar. I am not sure if something has changed with Zoom or if there is potentially a change in my corporate security setting that may have caused this. Advice is highly appreciated.

Hi Expert, I am a newbie. I have installed Zoom and done authorization in Salesforce. I want to sync Event in Salesforce with Zoom. However, the new Event I registered in Zoom does not update to Salesforce. Anything I have missed? Please advise. Bass

Hello. I added the Zoom for Salesforce integration to our CRM and am finding that registrants that are added to a webinar when registering through the zoom link are not showing up in the Webinar in Salesforce. They are showing up in the Webinar on Zoom's actual platform/website but do not in Salesforce. Is this something that can be fixed??

I booked an (expensive) virtual conference. I have a neurological disability that means I need to watch the session videos on playback in slowed down mode at c. 0.8 speed (due to my delayed sensory processing disability).But when I click on the playback speed toggle there are only options to make it go faster none are slower - help!This is a critical feature for me to be able to participate at all, so at the moment I'm in a lot of distress and despair as due to this problem I am completely blocked from joining the whole weeklong conference event. 😭I think it's a bug or design fault as on a friends iPhone a slower speed option is shown. But even then only I option 0.5 is offered, which is far too slow and not the 0.8 or 0.9 that I require so even that is no good to me and still not actually disability accessible. When I'm reviewing our registration, in the Zoom portal it says we have 73 registrants however when I pull the report, it only has 15 people recorded as registering for the session, can anyone tell me why this happening?

Hi, Today, we hosted a Zoom webinar, and unfortunately, many attendees experienced disconnections, forcing them to rejoin the webinar. Some participants were unable to rejoin at all, encountering difficulties while stuck in the webinar. We regularly host multiple webinars each day, but it seems that this issue has arisen after the recent Zoom update. We kindly request your attention to investigate and address this matter promptly.It's worth noting that not only attendees but also co-hosts are facing the same issue of being kicked out of the webinar.Additionally, I've observed an issue related to polls. It appears that after creating a poll, the system saves it for all subsequent webinars. Consequently, we need to manually delete the polls created for the previous webinar each time. We conduct training webinar sessions with our customers and are required by our corporate privacy policy to hide participant names from other participants in our training webinars. However, when we answer a question in Q&A, the question and answer with the participant's name display to all of the other participants on the "All questions" tab. We don't want to force all questions to be submitted to us anonymously, because WE (the hosts) need to see participant names (for internal reporting and tracking only), but participant names should always be "anonymous" to other participants and guest panelists (outside of our organization). Am I missing a setting somewhere? Hello,   I regularly use Zoom and publish recorded meetings and webinars, we always use the shared screen with speaker view. This used to appear as 3/4 shared screen with a smaller image of the speaker centered to the right of it. Recently since Jan 2023 this has appeared as the shared screen with a small thumbnail in the top right corner. Please see the attached examples.   I have tried troubleshoot this myself but haven't come across any information on it and can't see any settings that may have changed.   Can anyone advise whether this is an update, or is this simply a setting that has changed.   Thanks, Eliza

Hi all, There used to be a toggle button against the library of historic poll questions, that allowed you to 'switch on' chosen questions for inclusion in a webinar. This function now appears to have been removed. After a lengthy online chat with a Zoom agent, it seems that the entire list of historic poll questions will now appear in the poll function during a webinar, necessitating either scrolling through the whole list to find the question you want to launch, or deleting all the irrelevant questions once in the practice session or webinar. Can somebody clarify for me if I have understood this correctly, as this seems like a really useful function (the toggle button) has been removed, making the poll question library a much more unwieldy and un-user-friendly function. Any input gratefully received!
